Hiding behind his words | Closed

Benjamin listened to her closely, 'I've been to Paris, for a little while, and a night in Rome, but mostly stayed in England," he told her. He briefly described the night time sky in Paris, before coming back on to topic. "You'd like Paris, it's very sophisticated," he added as he looked into her eyes, his hand rubbing her hand lightly.

Carly listened to him intently as he described Paris at night, entranced by his words. It took her a second to come back to the room, realising he was talking to her directly again. "Oh yeah.. I think Paris is one of my dream destinations, I think I would like to live there for a while" she told him with a smile, gazing in to his eyes only to be interupted by the waitress.

Carly could see the waitress look from their hands to both of their faces a little confused, she clearly hadn't thought they could possibly be on a date. "I'll have the eggs Benedict please" Carly said a little curtly and handed her the menu. "And a fresh orange juice please"

Benjamin smiled at the waitress, pulling his hand back a little. He looked over the menu ordering something simple, yet filling. He handed her the menu, ordering a tea with his breakfast. He looked back to Carly, his eyes looking over her again. Once the Waitress had left he smiled, "my apologies, Carly I'm imagining you naked again," he admitted.

Carly laughed softly shaking her head slightly. "Benjamin stop, your making me blush" she said lightly, covering her cheeks with her hands as she glanced down in to her lap. She didn't know what else to say to him. She looked back up in to his eyes, nibbling on her lower lip gently she let her foot run up his leg gently.

Benjamin smiled softly, feeling bad that she was embarrassed. A soft moan escaped his throat as her foot rubbed him. "My apologies, you're just so beautiful," he said lightly. He reached over taking her hand, "I hope you don't mind I want to take things slow," he said.

Carly giggled softly, her cheeks pink as she brushed some hair out of her face, smiling up at him. She felt like her naievety was showing and she didn't like it. "No that's fine with me" she told him with a smile, taking a small sip of her orange juice. "Have you got any siblings?" She asked him.

Benjamin smiled watching her blush, he sat back sipping his tea. "I'm glad, I hope you'll find the wait enjoyable," he said lightly. He looked out the window for a moment, "no I'm an only child," he answered. "How about yourself Carly?"

"I'm sure I'll find a way to keep myself entertained" Carly teased, gently biting down on her lower lip to hint at what she meant. She laughed softly, absentmindedly straightening the cutlery on the table in front of her. "Yeah I have an older brother and a younger half sister, my father remarried " she explained with a warm smile.

Benjamin smiled softly, "Well you can always read my books, each one contains a part of me," he said lightly. "Who knows now you've met me maybe you'll find new things in each one," he teased. He watched her, "Plus there is always writing me," he added. "That's pretty awesome, do you three get along well?"

Carly giggled softly at him "I think I had other things in mind over Reading" she said softly with a cheeky giggle. Letting her foot run up his leg under the table once more. "My older brother and I are quite close, he's 27 so there was always just enough of a gap between us to keep us from fighting. My sister... Well I get along with her. She's only 8, but I don't really talk to my dad too much so I don't get to see her very often" Carly said with a shrug. "What about you, do you get along with your parents?"

Benjamin chuckled feeling her foot. "Oh you had that in mind," he said blushing harder. He looked around the restaurant, "Well that's good to hear, family fighting is a dreadful thing," he said lightly. He smiled softly, 'I get along with my parents fine, I don't see them that often, we write though," he said softly.

Carly chuckled as she realised she had made him blush. "Yeah I'm lucky to have such a good relationship with everybody bar my dad" she said with a soft smile nodding at him. "You don't really leave your house a lot at all, do you?" She asked him quietly, afraid she had overstepped a boundary.

Benjamin chuckled lightly, "I leave often enough, I buy fresh food each week," he said lightly. He looked up seeing their food being brought out. He thanked the waitress as she placed their food down, before turning back to Carly. "How about you, do you go out often?" he asked her.

Carly looked down at her food, smiling. "The eggs are so good here you have to try them" she said with a smile. "I mean, obviously I work 5 days a week.. on Saturday I usually run errands. I try to get to the gym three times a week and I usually go out to drinks with my friends on a Saturday" she told him with a nod. "So yes.. quite a lot"

Benjamin chuckled softly looking at her eggs. "Maybe next time I'm in London, I'll give them a try," he said lightly. "Plus it'll give me one extra reason to come visit," he added. He looked at her, "Well that sounds like a full on life, you sure you can take on conversing with a oddball like myself by mail, as well?" he teased.

Carly laughed, happy that he said he would come visit again. "I've managed it before, haven't I?" Carly teased back as she ate her food. Smiling Everytime he looked up at him. All of this felt like an absolute daydream to her.

Benjamin chuckled, "I suppose you have," he said lightly. He slowly began eating his breakfast, wanting to take his time, but aware that his train out of London was leaving at 1 in the afternoon. He looked at her, his eyes looking down her shirt slightly, "so Carly are you likely to introduce me to your friends when I come back to town next time?" he asked her.

Carly looked up at him and shrugged "would you like to meet my friends" she asked him. She had no problem introducing him to her friends, she just really didn't think they would be how type of people.Carly was aware she was a rather mature 23 year old, her friends were well.. not so much. "I mean that also depends on the status of our relationship too, doesn't it?" She teased gently.

Benjamin nodded "I would, but not today," he said softly. He chuckled, "yes I suppose it would, what sort of relationship do you think we have? what sort would you like?" he asked.

"obviously not.. I know you need to catch your train" she told him kindly, glancing down at her eggs as he asked her to define their realtionship. Carly shrugged softly "I mean I really like you.. but I don't know you that we'll.. I guess we're dating?" She suggested. "What do you think?"
