(sorry, I had a concert last night!)

Carly shook her head gently "your first book was amazing, it is still oneof my favourites" she assured him, standing up from her desk and walking around to meet him. "Sure, would you prefer to have lunch first or shall I show you round all of the processes of a book?" she asked softly. She didn't want to have to introduce him to people, she wanted to keep him her little secret for now.

Benjamin smiled lightly, "well thank you for saying that," he said softly. He walked with her towards the door, "how about a quick tour first," he suggested. He slipped his hands into his pockets to stop the temptation of holding her hand.

Carly nodded gently and lead him out of the door of her office and in to the intern cubicles. "This is where the intern begin, where I started my journey too" she told him as they walked past. She planned to start down in production and work her way up the building. "Do you want me to tell people who you are?" She asked softly as she walked, gently rubbing her lips together to ensure her lipstick still covered her lips. She hoped her perfume still hung in the air.

Benjamin walked with her silently taking in the place. He'd never been here before. He looked at her, "I'd prefer not, if that's okay," he said lightly He smiled at her, he perfume still carried in the air. "You look beautiful Carly," he commented lightly again.

Carly smiled, glad she could keep him to herself without everybody else fawning over him. "That's more than okay with me, I get to keep you all to myself" she teased, quickly composing herself, she needed to act a little more professional. Her cheeks flushed once again as he complimented her. "Thank you Benjamin, you are a good looking man too, much different to what I expected, in the best of ways of course" she told him with a nervous chuckle as she scanned her keycard to get into the process room.

Benjamin smiled softly, "That's good, I don't want too many people knowing who I am, I don't want to be followed everywhere I go all my life," he said softly. He made note of her light blush, but tried to ignore it. "Thank you for saying so, Carly, I always worry people assume I'm some old creep," he admitted.

Carly nodded, smiling at him gently. "I fell flattered to get to know who you are" she commented happily, gently nudging him with her shoulder. "This is the printing room, its quiet now abuse everyone is on their break, but usually it's so loud in hear you need earphones" she told him, gesturing around the room. "Each of the machines prints a different novel, and we have 3 working on yours" she informed him, gently pointing down to a page in his book that sat in a printing tray. She turned to smile at him. "You most certainly are not an old creep"

Benjamin smiled and looked around the room, "it's definitely impressive, much faster than my little typewriter," he said lightly. He could smell the ink in the air, and it reminded him of home. "Thanks for thinking so Carly," he said lightly, as they left the printing room.

Carly smiled warmly in his direction "I still kinda can't believe you only use as typewriter to write your books... what would happen if you lost pages or something?" she asked gently as she lead him in to the binding room, where all of the pages were being pressed in to the book covers. "It's all pretty cool isn't it? I remember being in awe when I got my first tour, I had never really thought about what really went in to a book" she commented, looking around and allowing her eyes to rest on him for a few seconds before glancing away. She could smell his cologne as they walked, reminding her of his notes just for her, her stomach twisting in knots every time the scent hit her nostrils. "So um, what age are you if you don't mind me asking?" she asked him softly.

Benjamin smiled softly, "When I'm happy with a chapter I rewrite a second copy for me, so I can retype the page if it gets lost," he said lightly. He looked around, "this is certainly different," he said. He blushed lightly, "more than what you see here goes into a book, you will never truly understand it, unless you're a writer," he said lightly.

He looked over at her, "I'm 38," he said.

Carly looked down at the ground slightly embarrassed "I wouldn't even try to pretend like I understand what the writing process is like.. I don't have the imagination, Hence why I write for other people" she told him with a gentle chuckle as they continued to work their way through the various rooms,her trying her hardest to remain professional. "I also bet you wouldn't believe the amount of work that goes in to editing" she teased softly, flicking on the lights to the large storage room, which was more reminiscent of a library. "This is my favourite room, these shelves are full of first edition copies of every novel Macmillan has ever edited" she told him looking all around her.

She had to admit she was slightly surprised that he was in his latter thirties, she had pinned him for younger. She wondered if perhaps he was too old for her to have a crush on. Nodding, Carly looked up at him and smiled "I'm 23, still a baby at heart" she said, gently running her finger along the spines of the books.

Benjamin smiled softly, "No I would never presume to know what editing my ramblings is like," he teased. He walked into the storage room, and wandered along a shelf, when she mentioned first editions, she lost him for a moment while he looked through the shelves.

He looked over at her, "Well you are extremely mature for 23, plus you seem to appreciate first editions," he said. "Does anyone ever read these?" he asked lightly.

Carly watched him happily as he looked through them in amazement, just like she had her first time in here. She smiled gently as he called her mature, pulling some hair behind her ear nervously. "Yes, I would love to own a copy of my own, one of the classics." she commented, letting her eyes follow the shelves as far as the ceiling. "Unfortunately we are not allowed, They just sit here. It makes me really sad" Carly told him, frowning as she tapped one of the books. "When I started my internship I used to just come down here and hang out all the time, \my supervisor thought I was a weirdo. Nobody ever comes in her" She told him.

Benjamin frowned, "It seems like a waste, to let the mall just sit here," he said lightly. He made his way back to the entrance, "Well I can see the appeal of the place, myself, maybe your supervisor has lost sight of the meaning of books," he suggested.

Carly nodded sadly towards the floor. "Unfortunately Ben, when you actually get out in the world and look around, you find less and less people with an appreciation for books...Even in this world" she commented sadly and followed him back to the entrance.

"I've found our letters so refreshing because you genuinely understand the passion, it's unusual to find that in another person" she told him softly, brushing against him as she went to scan her key card.

Benjamin smiled lightly, "that sounds depressing, I guess it's a good thing, I don't get out much," he admitted. He watched her open the door, feeling her brush against him. "Shall we head to lunch now?" he asked her lightly.

Carly laughed softly as he began to lead him back upstairs. She hoped she hadn't spent too long showing him around and made herself look disinterested, because she was thoroughly interested in him, although she felt much bolder over letter than she seemed to in person.

"So did you have anywhere in particular in mind for lunch?" she asked him gently as they walked back up to the office floor so she could grab her purse. Inside she saw a irate Margo standing inside, tapping her foot. "That's my supervisor, Can you excuse me for a moment?" she asked him gently as she moved towards her office. As Margo left the office, a few moments later Carly held her composure until she saw the supervisor head out of earshot before slamming her notebook on to the table before her. "Bollox! Bloody bolox." she swore, running her hands in to her brown hair before heading back out to meet Benjamin. "Very sorry about that, shall we head?" she suggested, gently flattening out her dress.

Benjamin gently smiled at Carly when she asked to be excused. He nodded softly, "don't get in trouble on my account," he said lightly. He was hoping that she wasn't going to be told off for showing him around.

He waited patiently for her to come back, "Are you in trouble?" he asked softly. He walked with her towards the exit, "I'm sure you have a place in mind," he said lightly.

She bore a nervous smile on her face as she lead him outside, gently shaking her head. "No no you didn't get me in trouble, don't worry about it" she reassured him, stopping outside the front door to think for a moment. "It depends what you want to eat, There's a great place around the corner that does a mean meat pie, or there's a cool new burrito place a block over?" she offered, pulling her jacket closer around her against the cold London breeze.

Benjamin smiled softly, "Okay, as long as you're not in trouble on my account," he admitted softly. He walked with her, 'I'm not sure, how about the cafe' around the corner," he suggested. He lifted the collar on his coat, raising it around his neck lightly.
