Micheal smiled softly and stood a little away from Kassidy. He unfortunately didn't like contact with even her, but he was slowly getting about it. He sat down in the booth when they were shown where to sit.

He looked over at Kassidy, "so how have you been, apart from the nightmares?" he asked her. He was trying to make her more comfortable, it always felt so weird when she was around. He was trying hard to build some trust of her.

"I have been very well, thank you." Kassidy said with a little smile on her lips. She looked over at Micheal, always trying to get a read on hum. Was he uncomfortable? Was he feeling better about her? With him out, Kassidy had to be a little more aware of what she was doing and how it affected him. Though, she knew that things were getting a little better, that Micheal was getting used to her now. It was a slow process, but Kass was proud of how far they had come.

"Things are work are going really well. I actually might get a promotion soon, so that will be good. And I have been seeing a lot of my friends lately. Especially now that it's summer and no one has the winter blues anymore." She pushed one of the menus over to Micheal. "How are you?"

Micheal tentatively smiled at her. He was settling in as comfortably as he could manage. He watched her, listening. "I'm glad that work is going well, you deserve a promotion," he said softly. To be honest, he didn't fully understand what she did for work, but knew she worked hard.

He shrugged lightly, "I'm doing okay, sorry about this morning," he said softly.

A warm smile moved across Kass's lips as Micheal apologized. "It is okay." She said softly. "I know that I startled you, and I apologize for that." It was sometimes difficult when Micheal came out. But he was good at heart, and things always seemed to smooth over in the end.

The waiter came over and took their orders before heading off to the kitchen. Kassidy turned back to Michael, her eyes looking over him for a moment. He was getting more comfortable with her than he used to. "Is there anything you want to do today?"

Micheal sat quietly and speaking only to order his usual. He watched Kassidy from across the table. He slowly relaxed, as he began to feel safe with her again. It was a process that could take anywhere between an hour or half the day, depending on his mood.

He smiled at her when she asked if there was anything he wanted to do for the day. He thought for a moment, "I could use a few new books, I've almost finished reading the ones we got last time.

Then we should go do that." Kass told him. It was almost never a bad idea to bring Micheal to the bookstore. They rarely ran into problems there. After all, it was a rather quiet store and everyone tended to get out of each other's way. "You can buy some new books, I can get some coffee. And you'll have time to read them since I need to do some things this afternoon."

It was not long until their breakfast was placed down in front of them. Kassidy thanked the waiter before pulling her plate closer and starting to dig in.

Micheal looked down as his food was placed in front of him, he smiled softly at the waiter. He looked back at Kass, "Okay, that sounds good, there should be a new book out by my favourite author," he mentioned. It was a common comment from him, it was like he had revolving favourite author's, basically whoever had recently put out a new book.

Kass finished off her meal and pushed her plate to the side of the table. The waiter was quick to pick it up before heading off to the rest of the room. "I am sure that there is." She said, a little smirk on her lips. At this point, Kass was rather sure that Micheal did not actually have a favorite author. He always just ended up grabbing a new book. Though, she was curious as to why he said it all of the time.

"Once you finish eating, we can head out." She said before moving her hand into her purse to pay.

Micheal nodded softly, he continued to slowly eat. The warm meal, radiating heat as he consumed it, warming his body. As Micheal finished his breakfast, he set his utensils down onto the plate, and sat back. It had been a while since his eyes had lifted from his food, he looked out the window before looking back at Kass, a slight smile on his lips.

Micheal wasn't as fickle about new books as he sometimes seemed, he had his own distinct preferences in his books. It wasn't genre, though, Micheal enjoyed books of varied genres. If asked, why he liked a book, or a certain author, he was always cryptic.

"Thank you for putting up with me," he commented softly, as he rose from his seat. Micheal pulled his coat over his shoulders preparing to head out.

"Oh, I would not say that I put up with you." Kassidy said as she smiled reassuringly over at Micheal. Sometimes, he was a bit difficult but she would not say that he was a bother to her. "I like having you around."

Once they both had their jackets on, Kass headed out of the resturant and started towards the bookstore. She moved her hands into her pockets, not wanting to accidently bump into Micheal and set him off. "We should be able to get there pretty quickly."

Micheal's eyes darted over to her as she spoke, he smiled softly. "Really, even with my problem?" he asked lightly, the news surprised him slightly. He walked with her towards the bookstore, leaving a small space between them. Unlike with most females, Micheal didn't mind being near Kassidy, but he still preferred not to touch her.

His mouth moved to a grin as they approached the bookstore, it was a quiet place. He stepped towards the front door, making his way inside slowly.

"Yes, even with your problem." Kassidy said with a warm smile on her lips. It was an issue sometimes but it certainly was not a deal breaker.

Once they arrived to the bookstore, Kass walked inside and took a glance around. Just like she was hoping, there were not too many people inside. Hopefully, this meant that Micheal would not run into any issues while trying to find a new book. With that concern gone, kassidy turned to Micheal. "I am going to go grab a coffee. I will find you in a little bit." She then headed off to the coffee shop in the store.

Micheal stood with her, as they looked around the store. There were only a couple other customers inside, along with the staff of the store, who at this point were pretty used to Micheal. Micheal looked over at Kassidy as she mentioned getting coffee, he nodded lightly.

"That's fine, I'll go look at books," he commented, heading into the store towards the sections he liked. Micheal found the book he wanted and found a spot to sit and read some of it. He was sitting quietly reading away, when a new staff member, a petite young woman crouched down next to him.

"I'm sorry but you have to pay for a book before reading it," she said in a wispy light voice. She reached for the book. Micheal looked up, and panicked, "Kassidy!" he called, shifting back away from the attendant.

As Kassidy was beginning to pay for her coffee, she heard Micheal yell for her across the store. Without a moment of hesitation, she whipped around and bucked it across the aisles. Soon she was at the end of the shelf that Micheal was at, and immediately she realized the issue.

"Miss, please step away from him." Kassidy tried to say as amiably as possible while still hurrying over to them. "I am sorry, it's nothing you done, just please let me take care of it. What do you need?"

Soon enough, Kass was standing in between Micheal and the young woman. She understood that this was an odd situation for strangers, which is why they tended to frequently visit places where they knew of Micheal's condititon. Now she just had to hope that she would not be hostile.

Micheal looked between the two woman, frozen. He had his back to the wall, and was sat down on the floor. He had nowhere to run too. He looked up at Kassidy, "She's trying to take the book," he pleaded softly.

The staff member was a little shocked at the scene, but was still reaching for the book. "He has to pay for it before reading it," she mentioned softly to Kassidy.

Micheal usually didn't have trouble at this store, he had brought every book he'd ever read, usually also buying several books a visit. He was still clutching onto the book in his arms.

"Yes, of course." Kassidy said as she, once again, moved her body in front of the woman to stop her from reaching out to Micheal. "He was planning on buying the book. Micheal was just waiting for me." She looked back at Micheal, seeing the fear on his face. Though she also noticed that he only had one book in his hand, which meant that he was not even close to finishing his time here.

As she was about to turn back to the woman, the barista headed down the hall towards Kass. "Miss, you forgot your credit card and your drink. I still need you to sign too!" Kass looked back at the barista, looking a bit frazzled now. There was too much going on for her.

Kassidy nodded to the man. "Yes, of course, just a moment sir." She then looked over to Micheal who was still hiding behind her. "Do you want to keep shopping or should we go home now?"

Micheal was still frozen, he didn't know what to do. The staff member smiled softly, appearing slightly confused. "That's fine, it's just my boss said people are supposed to buy a book before sitting down to read it," she stuttered out, pulling her hand back.

Micheal tapped Kassidy on the shoulder, "I need more books still," he commented quietly. He was beginning to calm down again already, which was record time. "Go have your coffee, I'll be fine, if she leaves me alone," he said quietly.

Kassidy was quiet for a moment as she looked over Micheal, trying to decide whether or not it was a good idea to leave him alone again. Normally, the employees left them both alone since they knew about Micheal. She was sure that the others would tell the new girl once they left but in the meantime.

She let out a small sigh before nodding a bit. "Okay. I will be back in a couple of minutes." Kassidy looked over to the bookstore employee. "And I understand, he just needs to pick up a couple of things before we pay." With that, Kassidy followed the barista back to the cafe.

Micheal smiled softly, and looked at the employee. "What sort of books do you like?" he asked as he headed towards a new isle. It was his odd way of saying if she felt she needed to follow him, she could.

Micheal headed directly, for the next book he wanted to buy, and flicked it open reading the first page, before promptly closing it, not wanting to get in trouble again.

After following the barista back to the little cafe, Kassidy finished paying and grabbed her drink. Though throughout the whole arrangement, she kept looking back to where Micheal was, just waiting for another outburst.

Once everything was taken care of, she quickly made her way back to the man, not wanting to let him out of her sight for too long. As her eyes landed on him, she let out a breath of relief.
