Layla smiled and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, sitting up on the bed. “Yeah but I like you, so I don’t mind,” She murmured, kissing him again. She made a mental note to see if she could get a uniform though she wasn’t sure it was something she’d be able to buy in the bookstore.

Nova smiled at his words, "Yea you move fast." She teased him. She snuggled up to him and fell asleep. She woke up the next morning to an empty bed and wondered where Ryker was.

Nova's dad stood in the kitchen, leaning against the counter in a pair of basketball shorts and a cut off since he went running this morning. He listened to his wife talking about random stuff. He nodded when she said she was headed to work, "Alright bye." He said before he kissed her. He looked over when he noticed Ryker walk in, "Morning." He said. He didnt miss the glare his wife gave Ryker. He chuckled as she shut the door when she left, "She will get use to you." He assured the boy.

Layla headed down to the field where she’d sit for Drew’s game. She always tried to sit as close as she could but they tended to fill up sooner rather than later. She noticed his parents and went to sit on the other side, smiling when she was him. She noticed there were some people from another team gathered on the rival side but they didn’t seem to be playing. She figured she’s ask him about them later.

Ryker smiled sheepishly and went into the kitchen, not knowing where to go now thay her parents were here. “I’ll be okay,” He said, sitting down and pouring himself a glass of water. “Did she get used to you quickly? Considering you came from similar circumstances?” He asked, knowing Nova was still upstairs.

Drew smiled as he talked to one of his friends as he walked onto the field. He knew it was going to be an easy game. He was glad that Layla was there.

He laughed softly, "She didnt use to be like this." He said. "When we met she came up to me because I was fun and exciting. Which she was as well. She just slowly changed over time. She still acts the same when we are alone but i dont know. I guess having Nova kind of made her feel like she needs to act a certain way." He explained. "We cant all be as wonderful as I am." He joked.

Layla sat on the side when a guy came over and sat next to her. “You must be Layla,” He said, as Layla looked away from the game to see who was talking to her.

“Who are you?” She asked, looking back over at Drew on the field.

“David, I’m Drew’s friend, from childhood really. He talks about you a lot and I wanted to introduce myself,” He explained, looking at her. “His birthday was coming up and I wanted to see how I’d be able to help,” He said, smiling at her.

Layla nodded. “Oh, hi. Yeah I hadn’t thought of throwing him a party or anything but that’s really nice of you.”

“Well even still I wanted to see who Drew’s been talking about,” He said as the game went on, continuing to ask her questions about how they met and how long they had been together.

Ryker smiled as he spoke. “Understood,” He laughed as Nova walked in the room. He noticed that there was already food and he watched as her father went into the other room. “Hey,” He said, putting his arm around her and sliding it down her backside. “Sleep well?” He asked, smirking and moving his hand away when her father came back in the room. “There’s pancakes.”

Drew glanced over when he noticed Layla talking to David. He frowned, knowing he was trying to piss him off. He sighed as he tried to focus on the game. He couldnt lose his focus.

Novasmiled as Ryker slipped his arm around her waist. She nodded, "Yea I did." She said. She started to get some pancakes and put strawberries and whipped cream on them. She looked at him, "What were you to talking about?" He asked. Nova got herself some orange juice and then looked over as her dad came downstairs.

"Alright I'm leaving. I got stuff you mom needs me to do. So I will be back later." He said as he grabbed his keys. He looked at Nova, "I'll see you later." He said, "I love you." He said before he left.

Nova nodded, "We'll try not to die." She teased her dad, smiling as he looked at her. She watched as he left before she looked at Ryker, "Did you eat?" She asked as she cut her pancakes.

When the game ended he handed her his number, asking to be involved in whatever she decided to do. She thanked him and went down to the field to see him. “You did so good!” She said, kissing him and handing him a towel. “Want to shower here or go home?” She said. “Also I met one of your friends he’s so nice.”

Ryker shook his head, sitting on one of the stools. “We should do something today,” He suggested as he made a plate for himself. “Go out,” He smiled at her.

Drew walked towards Layla, "I think i'm just going to shower here real quick and change. He walked with her when she mentioned DAvid, "He's not really my friend. we actually don't like each other." He said, looking at her.

Nova looked at him, "Where would you like to go?" She asked as she began to eat her pancakes. She liked the idea of going to do something with him.

Layla was surprised. “Well he did say you weren’t super close anymore, and that you would probably tell me that, but he was still really nice.” She said as they walked. “But I’m surprised you said you don’t like each other,”

Ryker shrugged. “Dunno, if we’re doing this whole dating thing I guess I should come up with something then,” He grinned. “What do you want to do?”

Drew rolled his eyes, "The guy is an asshole." He said as he got to the locker room. "I will talk to you when i get done." He said. He walked into the locker room and got a shower and got dressed. He walked to her when he was done and slipped his arms around her waist.

Nova looked at him before she took a sip of her orange juice. "I don't care really. Though I would not complain if ice cream was involved at some point." She teased him. "You can decide though." She said.

Layla sat outside the locker room until he came out, going over and putting her arms around his neck. She kissed him quickly and smiled. “So you won and I cooked,” She told him. “So whenever you’re ready to go we can,” She added. “And what’s this about David being an asshole?”

Ryker nodded. “I think we can get you some ice cream,” He said, smiling a little. “I wanted to go to the movies and see thay new action movie thay came out if you wanted to.”

Drew walked with her, "I just..we have never gotten along and he isn't a good guy." He said as they headed to his car. He unlocked the door and opened the passenger door for her.

Nova cleaned off her plate, "We can go do that." She said. She walked over to him, "So movie then ice cream?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
