Layla nodded as she climbed in, reaching in her bag. “Well, he gave me this, specifically saying he wanted to surprise you,” She murmured. “But I take your word over his, So don’t worry. What did he do though?”

Ryker nodded and kissed her, running his hands along her sides. “Sounds good, I just need to change. I’m kinda sorry you got ready already, we could have showered together, saved water,” He said, kissing her again.

Drew looked at what she handed him and frowned. He hated that guy so much and he knew he was just trying to get with his girl to piss him oft.

Nova kissed him back, "Yes I'm sure you are so concerned for the environment." She teased him. She kissed him once more before she let him go get ready. She washed the dishes and then sat in the living room, messaging her friends as she walked for Ryker.

Layla frowned and looked at the paper. “Drew, look,” She said, ripping the paper in half. “It’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it, we should be celebrating anyway.” She said, kissing his cheek. “Okay? Come on, you won, smile. For all I know I’ll never even see him again, and I don’t want to.”

Ryker got ready and pulled on a t shirt and some jeans, before heading back downstairs. “I’m gonna need to find a job, a real one at least to keep your dad from wanting to kick me out,” He mumbled, putting his arm around her.

Drew looked at her, "It just bugs me because I know he is doing this to hurt me. I dont want someone using you like that." He said as he stared the car. He headed back to his apartment with her

Nova smiled, "I dont think he would kick you out unless you did something really terrible." She said as they walked out of the house. She locked the door and put her keys in her purse. "He likes you..oddly enough." She teased him as they headed to the movie theater.

Layla nodded. “Well he can’t do it if I know what he’s doing, and you do too,” She said to him. “I’m with you, if you tell me someone’s trying to hurt you I’m not going to do anything to help him,” She told him as they got back to the apartment and got out of the car. “Okay? Come on, you won, I made you dinner to celebrate,” She reminded him, smiling at him.

Ryker shrugged. “Yeah well I’d rather be working anyway. Not that they need it but I feel like I should pay him rent or something,” He said as they went into the theater and he got them tickets. “Want popcorn or something?” He asked as they went past the counter.

Drew glanced her, "Look, lets not talk about this." He said. "I don't want to talk about him tonight. I just want to enjoy my night with you." He said. He drove to her apartment, "So what did you make?" He asked as he got out and walked inside with her.

Nova watched as he got the tickets then walked with him to the counter, "Just a soda is fine." She said. She let him order the drink then walked into the theater with him. The rest of the day went well and they didn't get home til late. She noticed her parents weren't home so she assumed they went somewhere. Nova smiled as she walked to her porch with Ryker, frowning when she seen his friend on the porch. She knew exactly who it was and that he was the reason Ryker got hurt. She stopped, her arm extending as Ryker went to keep walking, but was stopped by her standing still.

Layla went into his apartment, once again grateful that James wasn’t there and she’s been lucky to not have seen him for some time. “Beef tenderloin, scalloped potatoes, and spicy green beans,” She said as she went back to check on the food. “My grandma taught me to cook a few things, so I started when you left so it would be finished when you got back, just takes so long,” She explained.

Ryker looked at Nick, surprised that he was there after not hearing from him for so long. “Dude what are you doing here? You almost got me killed,” He said, looking at Nova as she stopped. “What are ou doing here?”

Nick sighed. “Look I was scared and you’re doing fine now, I needed help and I need some money,” He said, looking at them. “I’ll pay you back, I just need to come back for it.”

Drew smiled, "Damn that sounds so fucking good." He said as he sat at the table. He watched as she put it on the table. "Yep and it looks even better." He said before he began to eat. He couldnt believe how amazing it tasted.

Nova frowned when she heard Nick tell Ryker he needed money. She listened to him try to explain to Ryker, "No." She said. She couldnt stop the word that came out of her mouth. She watched as Nick glared at her. "You almost got him killed and now you want shit from him?" She argued. "No way." She said, looking at Ryker. She knew half the time he was a hardass but he really had a problem with knowing when to stop helping his friends.

Layla smiled. “It’s really easy, and I’m happy to know cooking for you is good enough for celebrating,” She said, putting the rest of the food away and rinsing the pots for the dishwasher. She sat down and ate the food, happy he let it go but curious, now she wanted to know what David had done but she left it alone, not wanting to bring it up.

Ryker sighed, looking down. He didn’t want to leave Nick, and he had money he could lend him. Whether or not he’d get it back was another thing but he had the chance to stay someplace safe, no one was coming after him at Novas but Nick didn’t have that. “How much,” He asked Nick curiously.

“5 grand, that’s all I need for right now,” Nick said, hoping he’d agree.

Drew ate his food and leaned back against his chair when he was finished. "That was really good babe." He said, looking at her and smiling a little. "Thank you." He said.

Nova frowned when he heard Nick ask him for that much money. Nova pulled away from Ryker and walked onto her porch, unlocking the door. She didnt want to be part if Ryker gettinf screwed over again. She took her jacket off once she was inside then walked up to her bedroom. She began to take her clothes off and went to her bathroom, getting a bath ready. She put her hair up before she got in the bubble bath.

Layla smiled and kissed him. “You’re welcome, you’re just really easy to please,” She said, getting up and putting the rest of the plates into the dishwasher after rinsing them. She went back over and sat down next to him. “You know, I was able to get the cheerleading outfit,” She laughed. “One of my friends got me it.”

Ryker told Nick he’d think about it before going inside and looking for Nova. “I told him I’d think about it,” He told her, sitting on the edge of the tub. “I’m guessing you don’t think I should.”

Drew looked at her and smirked, "Oh yea?" he asked, smirking. "Well this I gotta see." He said, getting up. "Come on why dont we go in the bedroom and you can cheer me on." He said as he offered her his hand.

Nova looked at him as he sat on the edge of the tub. "No I dont. He didnt help you when you needed him." She said, looking at the bubbles on the water. "He's a jerk." She muttered. She looked at him, seeing him smirking at her. She tossed some bubbles at him, "Dont look at me like that." She teased him "I'm mad." She said, though she sucked at looking angry.

Layla laughed, covering her face and following him inside. “Well when you say it like that,” She said, gesturing to the bag and pulling it out. “She did warn me that it might be just a little small, since they’re made by measurements and this was an extra,” She said.

Ryker smirked again. “You look good, how can I not?” He said, leaning down and kissing her. “I don’t want you upset but i get to live here, Nick doesn’t, wouldn’t giving him the money help him?”

Drew sat on the bed, "The smaller the better." He said as he watched her. His eyes moved over her body as she went through the bag. He leaned back on his bed, resting on his elbows as she disappeared into his bathroom to change.

Nova looked at him and then at the bath water again. "I guess but what if he doesnt use it to help himself Ryker." She said, looking ar him. She relaxed in the tub and looked at him, "Are you going to get in or not?" She teased him as she moved closer to him and slipped her wet hands under his shirt.

“You would say that,” Layla came out of the bathroom and laughed, covering her face. “You know, I must really like you,” She told him, looking at herself in the mirror and smirking. It hid nothing and though she’d arguably worn worse, it seemed to make him happy and that was what she had wanted to do.

Ryker shrugged and kicked off his shoes, climbing into the tub fully clothed and kissing her. He pulled his shirt off, now soaked and dropped it on the floor, leaning down to kiss her again. “You just wanted me out of my clothes,” He teased gently.

Drew smirked as she came out of the bathroom, his eyes moving over her. "What are you talking about? You look hot." He said as he got up and moved over to her. He kissed her softly then let his hands move down her sides to her hips.

Nova laughed softly as he got in the tub. "You know, most people take their clothes off before they get in the tub." She teased him. She kissed him then helped him take his jeans and boxers off. She kissed him again as she moved closer to him and placed her hands on his sides.

Layla smiled against his lips, pulling his shirt off and sitting down onto the bed so that she could unbutton his pants. “Then it was a good idea to do,” She smirked as she pulled his pants down.

Ryker shrugged. “Yeah but where’s the fun in that,” He smirked, pulling her into his lap and kissing her skin, moaning softly when she kissed him.

Drew smiled as he watched her unbutton his pants, "Fuck babe I cant wait for this." He said as he felt himself getting hard. He just wanted her in the moment.

Nova smiled against his lips as she straddled his lap, feeling the warm water around them. She looked at him, running her fingers through his hair. "I really love you. You know that?" She said, quietly as she looked into his eyes. She didnt think meeting him at that party would lead to where they were but she was glad it did.

Layla stood up and turned, taking the fact that he was distracted and pushing him down onto the bed so she could move onto his lap. She leaned over him, kissing down his body and putting her hand around him to get him ready.

Ryker nodded. “I love you too,” He murmured, happy to be where he was. He’d never outwardly admit it but he knew he was lucky to be with her and that he’d likely ended up in a bad situation if he hadn’t found her. He sat up and kissed her again, rubbing her sides.
