Matt glared at her when she mentioned a mate, "Shut up." He said. He had lost his mate when Brian lost his. Natalie was treading in dangerous waters for ever bringing it up. He glared at her as she stared at him.

Abby moved to her knees in front of him and pulled his shorts down along with his boxers. She couldnt help but be amused that he was so nervous. She ran her tongue over his length before she took him into her mout, feeling his hands move through her hair.

Natalie frowned, crossing her arms over her chest. She knew that meant yes. "I guess that's why you're so mean? Like a big block of stone." She relaxed and let her arms drop back by her sides. "Were supposed to help each other. This isn't ever going to work if we keep this up."

Brian gasped when she took him into her mouth, having almost forgotten how it felt, it had been so long. He ran his hands through her hair and moaned, his toes curling as her tongue explored every inch of him. "F-Fuck-" He shuddered, intertwining his fingers in her hair.

Matt watched her, "I can't have you doing things behind my back like that." He said to her. He didn't need his pack catching onto that. "If i'm ever like that and Brian says no then that is what I would have done." He explained to her.

Abby bobbed her head on him a little faster, moaning against him. After a bit she pulled away from him, running her hands up his stomach, seeing that he seemed more relaxed now. She got up and removed her clothes, watching as his eyes moved over her body. She straddled his lap and kissed him roughly.

Natalie frowned, "I knew Brian was wrong. I'm not going to be sorry for it, and if I had to go back and do it again, I wouldn't change anything."

Brian watched her as she stood up, seeing the moonlight that was able to sweep in through the window pouring over her skin. He watched as she peeled off every little piece of clothing she wore until she was right back on his lap. He kissed her back and held her hips again, "You're fucking gorgeous." He whispered.

Matt shook his head, "It's not your job to decided things like that." He said. He knew she needed to be involved, but he didn't need her breaking pack rules. "There are rules around here and they can't be broken." he said.

After she ate, Natalie went back upstairs, almost feeling worse than when she went to eat. She headed back into the bedroom and chewed on her lip, "What happenedto your mate...? If you don't mind me asking." She whispered and sat down on the foot of the bed.

Matt looked at her when she asked about his mate. He sighed as he sat up, "Last time the hunters came through they murdered her. They beheaded her and tossed her in the woods not far from here." He said, looking ar his hands. He had gotten stricter about what everyone did after that.

Natalie frowned, crossing her legs on the bed. Now she realized he was always such a dick. "How long ago was that?" She asked, chewing on the inside of her cheek. She didn't want to press him, but she just wanted to know more about him.

Brian leaned back against the couch and panted, pushing his hair out of his face. He licked his bottom lip and shut his eyes, trying to catch his breath. "Now I need another shower." He tried to joke, opening his eyes back to look at her and chuckling.

Matt frowned, "Almost three years ago." He said. He had been very distant from people since he lost her. He didnt want to be near anyone and he thought having Natalie would help him connect again but it wasnt working.

Abby laughed softly, "True, but I get to shower first." She said as she got up. She went upstairs and took a shower then when she was done she got dressed. She walked out of the bathroom as Brian walked into the bedroom. She didnt know why but she felt more comfortable around him now and not as tense.

Natalie wanted to feel sorry for him, she really did, but she just remembered how many of her people he murdered, how many mates he had taken away, and it was hard to find sympathy. She looked down and fiddled with her hands, "I'm sorry." It was hard for her to relate, though, she had never directly really lost anyone, besides her father. And she expected that was much different from losing a mate.

Brian was quick to take a shower once Abby was finished. He jumped in, scrubbing his body down with body wash and washing his hair. He came back out after drying himself off, not really caring to get dressed. He crawled into the bed next to her and was still feeling the adrenaline running through him. He hadn't felt like this in years, since his last mate... He forgot how nice it felt to connect with someone. He laid down next to her and instinctively wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close to him.

Matt shook his head, "It's fine." He said. He had learned to live with it. He looked at her, "we should get some sleep." He said as he got up and started to get ready for bed. He laid down with her and closed his eyes, falling asleep. He woke up when he heard yelling and screaming. He got up and quickly went outside, glaring when he seen hunters. Of course they would do something stupid. He turned into his wolf and went after them.

Abby smiled as he put his arm around him and she closed her eyes, falling asleep. She woke up when she heard a gunshot ring out and felt Brian get up. Abby sat up, frowning as Brian told her to stay put. "But..." She frowned as he narrowed his eyes. She wasnt about to be a victim again.

Natalie jumped out of bed too, feeling her heart in her throat. She knew exactly what all of the screaming was about. She hesitated for a moment, letting Matt have time to go ahead and run out of the house so he couldn't tell her to stay inside. She quickly followed, and the moment she stepped on the porch and saw the hunters terrorizing the village, she transformed herself.

Brian frowned and hesitated in the doorway, catching a glimpse of the terror out the window. "Please." He held his hand out, just begging for her to stay safe inside. It would be his luck to finally connect with someone again and have them ripped from his arms, once again. He didn't have time to say anything more than that though. He changed into his wolf halfway down the stairs and darted outside.

Matt moved through the village with a few of the other wolves and began killing hunters. He wasnt giving then time to kill anyone else. He noticed Brian then leaped and took one of the guys off his feet. After a bit he noticed it got quite and it seemed like all the hunters were gone. He crept down the path with Brian and the next thing he knew he felt a bullet pierce his side and noticed one hit Brian as well. He glanced over, seeing one of the wolves kill the last guy that had hurt him.

Abby watched as he left then pulled on a pair of jeans and a tank top. She walked down the stairs when she heard someone come in, seeing a hunter. She grabbed the guy and slammed him against the wall. She managed to get his gun from him and shot him three times. Abby frowned when she heard Natalie scream outside. She walked out and found Brian and Matt with the doctor near them. She moved over to Brian and looked at Natalie, "What the hell happened?" She asked as she knelt next to Brian, looked down at him. She watched as his eyes met hers and she ran her thumb over his cheek. She bit her bottom lip lightly as the doctor pulled the bullet from his side.

Natalie had been trailing Matt, just keeping an eye on him, wanting to make sure he was okay. And everything seemed okay too, until she heard a gun fire, and the next thing she knew, Matt was yelping and hitting the ground. Not again. She changed back, and ran to his side, feeling like she was going to throw up. She knew they had to have been using silver bullets. How were they supposed to fix this?

"They just got shot." She frowned and watched as the doctor worked quickly to pull the bullets from the boys. "Are they going to be okay??"

The pain in Brian's side was searing, like someone had shoved a hot poker into his side and was twisting it around. His vision was blurry and even though he knew the girls were talking, it sounded like they were muffled and farther away. He had changed back once the bullet hit him, not having the strength or energy to stay in his wolf form. He loosely grabbed Abby's arm, feeling like he was going to faint any minute.

Matt groaned in pain as the bullet was pulled from his side but he felt like his insides were on fire. He felt like the pain was never going to end and he wished he could have been the one to ki the guy. "Fuck." He breathed as he heard the doctor saying something but he couldnt hear him. He just heard a ringing in his ears.

Abby frowned as the doctor said it would take a month of recovery. She was glad that the bullets werent poisoned. She felt Brian grip her arm, her attention going back to him. "Hey." She said, getting his attention. "Dont close your eyes." She said as she scooted closer to him. "You're going to be okay." She whispered as she pressed her forehead to his. She didnt care about the looks they were getting. He was hers.

Natalie frowned and grabbed Matt's hand and held it tightly, "You're going to be fine." She frowned, feeling like she should've done something. "It'll be okay," She caressed his cheek, seeing how much pain he was in. She didn't even notice the sharp looks she was getting until two men practically jerked her away.

"Get out of the way." They barked at her, hoisting Matt up and started packing him to the house. Natalie glared, her nose wrinkling up as she gritted her teeth, but she bit her tongue. The last thing she wanted to do was start a fight now. Instead she just followed them as they packed him home.

Once inside, she elbowed her way back past them once they laid Matt on the couch. "Okay, you two can leave now." She barked.

Brian felt a little calmer feeling Abby's presence, trying his best to keep his eyes open. He was just so tired. "Ok." He whispered, feeling how dry his lips and mouth were. He looked up into her eyes and tried to just focus on that. But at the same time two men shoved Natalie out of the way, two more men did the same to Abby.

They barked at her, before lifting Brian up, "Look at these two, thinking they're actually really mates or something." They laughed to one another as they packed Brian to his house.

Matt frowned as they laid him on the couch, seeing them leave. He looked at Natalie, "How many from our pack died?" He muttered. He knew he needed to take time to recovered. He exhaled slowly, feeling the pain move through his body. "Fuck it hurts." He said.

Abby frowned as they shoved her out of the way. She walked into the house, glaring at them. "Get out." She said. She watched as Calvin glared at her, "Bitch you dont tell us what to do." He snapped. Abby glared at him, "I said get the fuck out." She said. She watched as he moved towards her and she pulled the gun out that the hunter had.

Calvin stopped and glared at her, "You wouldnt shoot me." He growled.

Abby pulled the hammer back, "You want to stay and find out?" She said. she watched as they left then sighed as she set the gun down. She moved over to Brian and knelt by the couch, moving her fingers through his hair. "Do you want some water?" She asked him.

Natalie frowned, watching the two leave. She didn't understand why they hated her so much. She sat down next to the couch, to be as close to him as possible and chewed her lip, "I'm not sure." It wasn't a complete lie, she had solely been focused on him. "I saw at least six." She sighed.

Brian looked up, not caring that Abby had pulled a gun out. He felt to weak to intervene on her behalf. "Please." He croaked, his throat so dry his voice was coming out gravely.
