Matt looked at her after they left, "If they give you any problems let me know." He told her.

Brian frowned, “It’s your friend, so I’m not going to tell you you can’t, but I’d prefer if you didn’t.” He leaned over to sit the glass down.

Natalie couldn’t help but think, What would you be able to do? Youre bed ridden. She knew better than to say that though. “Of course.”

Abby nodded when he said he didnt want her to. She took the glass from him and walked to the kitchen. She cleaned up the dishes then relaxed in the living room with him.

Matt closed his eyes and began to fall asleep. He held his blanket close as he slept.

Brian was absolutely miserable, he hated feeling like he was helpless. He didn’t like Abby having to take care of him, or the thought of either of the girls trying to take care of that pack. It was his job to make sure she was safe, they they were safe. He looked up at her when she returned to the living room and he ran a hand through his hair. “I’ll probably be better in no time.” He said, he trying to be positive. “Matt and I will be back in charge before you know it.”

Natalie left Matt alone to get some sleep. The more sleep he got, the quicker he’d be able to get on his feet and do his job. Natalie felt like her anxiety was hitting a spike, so she tried to clear her mind by getting caught up on some cleaning. When she was done, she headed back upstairs and looked at Matt still sleeping quietly. For once, she let her instincts have their way and she crawled up into the bed against his back and wrapped her arms, loosely and carefully, around his waist.

Abby sat with him and watched him, "I know you will be, but you need to relax and not be in such a rush. You need to make sure you are a hundred percent better before you start trying to do stuff again." She said as she kissed his cheek. She knew that it drove him crazy to not be able to do anything.

Matt woke up about an hour later and felt her arms around him. "Hey." He muttered as he looked at her. He was surprised that she was actually laying with him. Matt went to sit up and winced a little. "Fuck I hate being sick like this." He said.

Brian frowned, listening to Abby's words. He knew she was right, but he didn't like being bed bound like this, and he especially didn't like the idea of the girls being in charge. Not only being worried about them getting hurt, but also worried about them making stupid decisions. Women were emotional, they make impulse decisions and then get hurt. He wouldn't say that to Abby now, especially not while he couldn't move. "I know." He sighed and looked up at her.

Natalie looked up at Matt and chewed on her lip. She had almost been asleep herself, but she was more happy to have the company. "Hey." She whispered, a frown finding its way onto her face when she watched him flinch and cringe. She backed away from him, pulling her arms away to give him space and let him get comfortable. "Did you sleep okay?"

Abby relaxed with him, "I think things will.be okay." She said as she laced her fingers with his. He made her so happy and she didnt think she would ever like him like she did now, but she didnt want to be without him

Matt nodded, "Yea i did. I just am sick of being injured." He said, chuckling. He hated that he had to be worried about something happening to her. "Are you sure you can handle this?" He asked.

Brian nodded, even though he really didn't agree and he knew Abby knew that just as much as he did, but he didn't want to argue or even talk about it. He wanted to just take it a day at a time, and hope that he was wrong and everything would be just fine. He let his thumb brush over her fingers once they were holding hands and he was almost a little confused. He didn't know how they had gotten here, getting along and even liking each other. That was something he had been wrong about. He thought that they would always hate each others guts, but now they didn't and that made him wonder if maybe he could be wrong about this too.

Natalie chuckled, "Maybe you should toughen up then." It was just a tease, but she could tell he didn't find it very funny. "I don't know, but I guess I have to handle it." She shrugged, sitting down by his feet at the bottom of the bed. "I'm sure it'll be okay..." She was still trying to convince her own self of that.
