Take It To The Streets. [closed]

Mackenzie pulled away from him then moved to her feet. She let the water run over her as she put her arms around him. She could tell he didn't seem as tense.

Alec frowned, "I don't want that asshole around here anymore." He said. He sighed as he walked over to her, "How does your face feel?" He asked as he kissed her forehead.

Ryker leaned back against the wall before his eyes flew open feeling Mackenzie's arms go around her. He thought about it but just left it for the moment, his head killing him. He winced at it again before swaying as if he was going to fall over.

"I understand." Mehki nodded her head in approval before smiling hearing his question, "It's not that. It does hurt though and I have a sneaking suspicion it's going to bruise though." She sighed before just hugging him. "I do need to check on Ryker to see how his head is doing, though." She said after a moment of thinking.

Mackenzie pulled away slowly, "Are you okay?" She asked as she looked up at him. He seemed really hurt and like he was going to be sick.

Alec nodded, "Yea I think we should do that." He said. He walked up with her and knocked on Ryker's door. He walked into the room, not getting an answer. He heard the shower, "Ryker, you alright?" He called. He didn't just want to walk in in case Mackenzie was with him.

Ryker leaned against the wall clutching his head before he shook away the dizziness. "No." He said before he stumbled out of the shower not bothering to turn it off and wrapped a towel around his waist. He got dressed again planning to go downstairs to find Mehki. He heard Alec and came out of his room stumbling into the wall. "Not really." He admitted before almost face planting the ground.

Mehki nodded before heading upstairs with Alec. She was in her scrubs from the day prior. She blinked managing to get Ryker before he hit the ground, gasping from the force of hsi body. She leaned him against the wall seeing that his wound was beginning to get worse and the swelling wasn't going down. She checked his pupil reaction seeing it was slow and narrowed her eyes before she took his pulse looking down at the watch she always had on. "Come on. Let's get you to the hospital." She sighed. "I don't have a choice before you tell me to fix it here. I can't." She looked at Alec worriedly.

Mackenzie got dressed then walked out. She gasped as Ryker hit the floor. She helped Alec and Mehki get him up. She put him in the car then climbed into the back wit him. "Ryker stay awake please." She said. She bit her bottom lip lightly as they drove to the hospital.

Alec helped Ryker to the car and once they got to the hospital he brought them in. He sighed as he got a wheelchair for him and looked at the nurses. "What is wrong with him?" He asked Mehki.

Ryker tried his best to get up but was pretty much just dizzy and his world was spinning. "God it's like i'm drunk but there's no fucking goood feeling." He got into the car his head on the seat and looked at her and just tried to stay awake. He was so tired.

Mehki helped them with him and got him into the car before riding to teh hospital. Once there she got inside telling the other nurses he had blunt force trauma to the back of his skull, the bleeding had subsided, but the swelling wasn't getting better. He had dizziness and couldn't stand straight. She looked back at Alec and shook her head, "As soon as we find out they'll let you know." She let them go with Ryker to the back before disappearing for a minute before getting changed into her extra scrubs and coming back to check on him with her small flashlight. She then took his blood pressure and pulse once more with the machine beginning to check his temperature and all the necessary features as well. "The doctor will be back in here in a minute." She told them. "Hey Ryker, I need you to spell your name."

Ryker glared annoyed before sighing and saying, "R-Y-K-E-R." "Good. Higher brain function looks good. I personally just think we need to get him an anti inflammatory and maybe some antibiotics for possible infection." She told them.

Mackenzie walked back to the room and sat down next to him. She bit her bottom lip lightly as she listened to Mehki. She was worried about him and she held his hand. She didn't want anything to happen to him. She couldn't be without him.

Alec frowned as he watched his friend. He didn't want anything to happen to Ryker. That was his best friend. He sat down, "It will be okay Mack." He said.

Ryker just sighed and muttered, "Hospitals smell funny." He knew he wasn't supposed to be being funny but he couldn't help it. He was a sarcastic asshole through and through. He looked up hearing the door open but saw it was another nurse. He reacted moving away.

Mehki took Alec's hand gently before seeing the way Ryker reacted to the other nurse. "I'll do it." She murmured before seeing him beginning to relax. "Just a pinch." She murmured treating him like any other nurse before setting the IV bag up on the rack. "Just because you seemed dehydrated." She explained seeing the question on his face. She moved back. She knew their room was next for the Doctor in charge of the E.R.
(I have an idea. What if the ER doctor has a thing for Mehki and keeps flirting with her??)

Mackenzie laughed a little, "You would say that." She said, shaking her head. She ran her fingers through her head, watching as he got an IV put in. She was just glad that he was going to be okay.

Alec sat there not saying much as everyone moved around Ryker. He just wanted his friend to be able to go home. He felt like letting that guy into their house was his fault.

Ryker watched her put the IV in grateful that she didn't let that other nurse touch him. He leaned back on the bed wishing he could just shut his eyes.

Mehki took Alec's hand once more and just held it gently trying to be supportive for him. She knew Ryker was tired and was glad that he hadn't slept. She looked up when the door opened.

Dr. Bran Montgomery entered the room looking up and blinked seeing Mehki a smile growing on his face. Then he blinked, "Are you okay, Mehki? What's going on?" He asked knowing nurses didn't normally stay with patients. "I didn't know you were working today." A look of confusion passed his face.

"I'm not on the clock right now. I work much later. My friend is the patient. We brought him in." She explained knowing everything else was in the file. She didn't act cold to him, just reserved.

Bran looked at Mehkie when she said she wasn't working, "That's a shame I like working my shifts with you. Your pretty face makes the late night shifts bearable." He said. He walked over to the patients then began to examine him.

Alec didn't miss the way the guy looked at Mehki and it honestly pissed him off. He frowned as he held Mehki close to him, his eyes locked on the asshole that was looking at Ryker.

Mackenzie moved away from Ryker so that the doctor could look at him. She didn't go far from him though. She knew none of this would have happened if it wasn't for her and if something was really wrong with him she would never forgive herself.

Mehki blinked at his forwardness just choosing not to answer. She watched him go over to Ryker waiting for what his diagnosis would be. Feeling Alec pull her closer, she looked down and just smiled kissing his head gently before looking back at Ryker. "What do you think, Dr. Montgomery?" She asked him knowing it was unprofessional to call him by his first name.

Ryker blinked several times. He frowned seeing Bran practically flirting with Mehki right in front of Alec. He glanced at Alec and rolled his eyes giving him a look that meant Alec needed to step his game up. He looked back at the doctor looking at him expectantly.

Bran looked at him, "It just looks like he has some inflammation and might be getting an infection. We will have him stay the night and get some iv fluids in him. He should be okay though." He told her. He looked over at Mehki and smirked slightly. "I will be right back. I am going to order a CT scan just to be safe." He said, before he walked out.

Mackenzie looked at Ryker when the doctor said he had to stay all night. She bit her bottom lip lightly, "Are you okay with that?" She asked him. She didn't want him to have to stay.

Alec looked at Mehki once that guy left, "What the hell is up with him?" He asked. He was not an idiot and he could tell that the guy was hitting on his girl. He was pissed about it too.

Ryker frowned hearing his words and then saw him leave and blinked. "What the fuck is a CT scan?" He asked looking at Mehki before hearing Mackenzie. "I don't really have a choice it seems.' He sighed running a hand through his hair.

Mehki sighed softly hearing his words and frowned before seeing Bran smirk at her. She sighed shaking her head as he walked out hearing Alec and shook her head. "I'm not sure. I've told him to stop but he says it's just harmless and there's not much I can do since he's my supervisor technically." She sat back hearing Ryker. "Just a scan of your head to see if there's anything else we should be worried about. It's just a precaution. He'll prescribe you some anti-biotics and you should be out of here soon." She promised looking at her watch. She had work in a couple of hours. She bit down on her lip wondering if she should take off or not.

Ryker listened to Mehki chilling out a bit after her explanation. "Fine. But I'm not staying more than a night." He warned them not liking the IV stuck in his arm.

Alec frowned when she said that she couldn't do anything, "What you can't fucking report him for that shit? I should kick his ass for fucking looking at you like that." He said. He was getting pissed the more that he thought about it. He really just wanted to hit the guy for even thinking about Mehki that way. Alec sighed as he looked at her. He didn't want to be this jealous, but he couldn't stop it from happening.

Mackenzie was surprised at how mad that Alec got. She bit her bottom lip lightly as she watched them. She turned her attention back to Ryker then took his hand, her head resting on the bed near him. She was so tired, but she wasn't about to leave him.

Mehki sighed before touching his hand gently and said, "I already did and they said they can't do anything without either more complaints or him touching me." She explained to him gently before hugging him trying to calm him down figuring it wouldn't work, but she wanted to try anyways.

Ryker glanced at Alec seeing how angry he got and raised an eyebrow. He figured he must he serious about Mehki to get this upset about it. He looked at Mackenzie feeling her take his hand. "Go to sleep." He murmured knowing he couldn't. "You don't have to wait here."

Alec frowned as he hugged her, "I don't like you working with him." He said. He couldn't believe he did that. He wasn't letting anyone hurt Mehki. He certainly didn't mind punching that asshole in the face. He kissed her forehead as he tried to relax.

Mackenzie shook her head, "No, I am staying here." She said. She wasn't about to leave him. She bit her bottom lip lightly as she looked at their hands. She looked at him, seeing how upset he was about being there. He hated hospitals and she knew that.

"I'll try and change my shifts if you want?" Mehki asked him softly not wanting him to be upset anymore. She smiled feeling him kiss her forehead. She relaxed in his arms before looking back at Ryker and Mackenzie. "Do you guys want something to eat? I get first dibs on the cafeteria and can get the freshest stuff." She murmured.

Ryker sighed hearing her words just closing his eyes leaning back in the bed. "Stubborn ass." He muttered letting her have his hand since he knew she was worried. Hearing Mehki, he opened his eyes thinking about it and nodded. "Sure. Whatever looks the best. I eat anything." He told her looking at Mackenzie to see if she wanted something.

Alec nodded, "Yea food sounds good. I will come with you." He said. He walked out with her and took her hand. "I think you should switch shifts. I don't want you to feel like i am trying to control you though." He said as he kissed her cheek.

Mackenzie watched as they left then looked at him. She looked at his hands, "I'm sorry about this you know." She said quietly. She knew him getting hurt was all her fault.

Mehki smiled nodding her head getting up and going outside secretly trying to give Ryker and Mackenzie some alone time as well. She heard his words nodding her head. "Okay. No, it doesn't bother me. I was thinking about it anyways." She explained with a smile knowing that Alec meant well. She went into the cafeteria greeting the lunch ladies. She smiled at them warmly before picking out a wrap for Mackenzie and Ryker each. She then got herself a chicken and mustard wrap figuring it was the safest thing. "What do you want?" She turned to Alec.

Ryker looked back at Mack and blinked hearing her words, "What the fuck for?" He asked confused his rings glinting from the light. He really wished he had a cigarette. He looked up seeing Dr. Montgomery come back in asking him how he was doing.

"Where's Mehki?" He asked confused. "She went with her boyfriend to get food." Ryker said trying his best to get the point across. He raised an eyebrow waiting for a response.
