Esther hummed as she rinsed the last of the conditioner out of her hair, smiling as she turned toward Blaise as he stepped into the shower with her, scooting over to make room while pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I was worried you'd abandoned me." She teased softly as she kissed his other cheek, finishing rinsing her hair before moving out of the way so that he could get his chance under the shower.

"I still can't believe you bought me a house without saying anything.. And that we're going to get married.." she smiled at him lovingly, reaching around him to grab a washcloth to begin washing her face and body.

Blaise took the washcloth from Esther. "Let me do that." He murmured softly before gently washing her face with it. "And I would never abandon you, not even in the shower." He said with a light chuckle. A larger smile came over his face as she mentioned the house. "It just felt like the right thing to do. You were still stressed and I didn't want to add house hunting as a reason to that. But I didn't want to wait, I knew it was time for us to move out."

As the washcloth started to slide down to her chest, Blaise looked up and looked into her eyes. "You really do love it here, right?" Blaise asked her, his voice gentle. "If you don't like the house, we can find a new one. Or if there is anything that you want to change, we can do it." He wanted to make sure that she loved their home as much as he did.

"How are you supposed to get clean if you're busy washing me?" Esther teased as Blaise took the washcloth from her, stifling a giggle and squeezing her eyes shut as he washed her face, opening her eyes again to look at him after she rinsed the soap away to make sure none got in her eyes. She smiled as he explained why he'd surprise her with the house, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Thank you, Blaise.. I'll never be able to thank you enough, but I promise I'll do it as often as I can."

She moved closer as he moved the washcloth down her chest, wrapping her arms around his waist loosely as she looked up at him, offering him a loving smile as he asked if she really did like it here. "I love it, Blaise. It's so much more than I ever could have asked for. It's perfect." She promised, pressing a reassuring kiss to his lips. "I can't promise that I won't want to change anything, given that we've only spent one night here, but I love it, and I love you, and I wouldn't want anything else."

Once again, Blaise felt a rush of relief at Esther's words. There had been many times where he worried that she would not enjoy the place that he picked out for the two of them. Of course, it was always fixable but to think that he would give her such a large surprise that she hated...well that would have weighed heavy on him. And he had put a lot of effort into finding a place for the both of them so Blaise was over the moon that she really was loving it here.

As she pressed her lips against his, Blaise kissed her back, his lips gentle against hers. "I am pleased that you like it." He murmured against her lips gently. He pulled away slightly, glancing down at her chest as he gently and slowly washed her. His fingers brushed against her nipples ever so slightly. Oh what a bad idea it was for him to allow her to convince him to shower together.

Esther hummed against his lips, smiling a bit as he glanced down at her breasts and his fingers brushed against her nipples, gently grabbing his wrist to take the washcloth from him. "If you don't stop staring I'll leave, because at this rate you'll never get clean." She teased, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips before turning away from him so that she could finish washing her body with the washcloth and rinse herself off.

Once that was done she scooted around, pushing him back gently until he was under the water, gently running her fingers through his hair to get it wet. "Or do I need to wash your hair for you?"

When she took his wrist in her hand, Blaise looked up at her with surprise. Though when she mentioned being clean, he let out a chuckle and gave up the washcloth with ease. Esther was right, of course. He just found it difficult to worry about being clean when his naked fiancee was in front of him. "You are right, of course." He told her.

As she pushed him, Blaise followed suit and stepped under the water. He closed his eyes as he ran down his face and body. "Yes, please do." Blaise told her as he turned around so his back was facing her. Knowing that she was a bit taller than him, Blaise moved down slightly so it was easier for Esther to reach his head.

"I'm always right." Esther teased with a little grin, pressing a quick kiss to his lips as she set the washcloth to the side before grabbing the shampoo bottle once he'd lowered himself a bit to make it easier for her to reach, hiding a laugh at the sight. She lathered up her hands before she began to massage the shampoo into his hair, making sure to take her time and get it all clean and scrubbed. After all, she'd hate it if she missed a spot and he went with half-washed hair to tell their families about their engagement.

Once she thought she'd done a good enough job she patted his shoulder to signal that she was finished, reaching around him to rinse off her hands under the water. "All done. You might want to run your hands through it quickly just to make sure I got everything."

Standing up straight once again, Blaise tilted his head back to work his hands through his hair. Though he could feel that all of the shampoo was out of his hair with a single run through. "Thank you, Love." Blaise told her before he grabbed his own washcloth and started to wash down his body. After all. Blaise didn't want to smell bad when they went to go tell their families of the good news.

When Blaise was satisfied with how clean he was, he glanced down at Esther with a grin before turning and shutting off the water. "We should get dressed." He murmured before leaning forward and pressing a kiss against her forehead. The man then stepped out and grabbed a towel to wrap around his waist.

Esther smiled up at him as he thanked her, taking the time while he was washing himself to make sure she was extra clean, wanting everything to be perfect today. Once he shut off the water she stood up on her toes to press a kiss to his lips, stepping out of the shower and grabbing a towel to dry off, wrapping up her hair in one and wrapping another around her torso before heading to their room to get dressed.

There were a few sets of clean clothes already in the dressers which she appreciated, not wanting to wear dirty clothes when they went to inform their parents of the news. She pulled on a dress before brushing out her hair and pulling it up into a simple braided bun, moving over to Blaise once she was done to wrap her arms around his waist, smiling up at him. "Ready, love?"

It did not take Blaise very long to get ready. He decided to wear a pair of black jeans and a button up shirt. It was simple and made him seem a little put together without going the whole way. Which was probably what they wanted for what was going on. His eyes shifted over to Esther as she asked if he was ready, feeling her arms wrapped around him as she spoke. "Yes, I am, sweetheart."

Blaise turned and wrapped his arms around her as he leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss against her lips. Then suddenly, without warning, Blaise picked Esther up and started carrying her bridal style out of the bedroom and down the stairs. "Do you have everything you need?" Blaise asked her as his foot pressed down against the first floor of the house, stepping off of the stairs.

Esther smiled up at him as he turned to face her, returning his kiss as her arms tightened around his waist a little. She squealed in surprise though when he suddenly lifted into his arms, laughing as she wrapped her arms around his neck, resting her head against his shoulder. "You're wonderful, Blaise." She murmured softly as he began to walk downstairs, fingers lightly playing with the hair at the nape of his neck.

She nodded when he asked if she had everything that she needed, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "I do. I left my bag in the car, and I don't think I need a jacket or anything since it looks like such a nice day." She murmured, smiling up at him. "Do you have everything?"

"I have you and that is all I need." Leaning down, Blaise pressed a kiss and then nipped lightly at her neck. Though his head went back into position as he continued through the house towards the entrance. "Can you please open the door?" He asked Esther, bringing her down a bit so she could reach the doorknob. Once Esther had done so, Blaise walked through the door and then, once again, asked Esther to handle the door for them both.

With the house locked, Blaise walked over to the car and slid Esther into the passenger seat. When his hands were free, Blaise took her hand into his and pressed a light kiss against the back of it before kissing her forehead. "I love you, darling." He murmured before closing the door and moving into the driver's seat. Once they were both ready to go, Blaise turned the car on and started to drive towards her mother's house.

Esther blushed as he nipped lightly at her neck, smiling up at him as she continued to play with his hair. "You're such a flatterer." She teased softly, nodding as he asked her to get the door, wanting to do her part to help, even though she thought he could just set her down if he wanted.

She smiled up at him after he set her in her seat, squeezing his hand. "I love you too. So much." She murmured, leaning up for a kiss before she released his hand so he could get in the driver's seat and head to her mother's house. "..Do you think she'll be happy for us?" She asked softly, reaching over to take his hand as he drove. Her mother could be picky, and she didn't outright hate Blaise, but given the history between their families it seemed reasonable to worry.

"I know that she will be." Blaise reassured her, offering a quick smile before his eyes went back to the road. The truth was, he wasn't sure. Esther's mother was a mystery to him at times. Sometimes she seemed to be okay with him and other times it was like she wanted him out of Esther's life. Though he couldn't totally blame her for feeling that way but Blaise hoped she was able to see that he just wanted Esther and to make her happy. That he could make her happy.

They pulled up to the house and Blaise parked the car. Though he stopped for a moment, taking a small breath as he did so. He was a little nervous but Blaise also believed that this would probably go well. So, he stepped out of the car and walked to Esther's side, opening the door and offering his arm to her as he did so. "Are you ready?"

Esther nodded a little as he reassured her, giving his hand a squeeze before turning to look out the window as they drove, hoping that it might help calm her nerves. She offered him a little smile as he moved around to open her door, taking his arm as she stood and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "As ready as I can be." She murmured, squeezing his arm as they walked up to the door, waiting patiently after Blaise had knocked at the doorstep.

It was a few minutes before Esther's mom opened the door, clearly a bit surprised to see the two of them, but it didn't take her long to spot the ring on Esther's finger, offering her daughter a smile. "I see you've come to give me some big news."

Blaise seemed to visibly relax as the woman started to smile at her daughter. Thankfully it seemed that all of their worrying was for nothing. He looked down at Esther with a huge smile, rather sure that she was going to be delighted with her mother's response and hopefully, any anxiousness that she had felt was gone. He wrapped an arm around Esther's waist and lightly squeezed her before pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"Yes, we did." Blaise responded as he looked back at the mother with a grin. Although a part of him was bursting to say it out loud, Blaise gave Esther a little nudge to officially give the good news to her mother.

Esther relaxed at her mother's smile, squeezing Blaises' arm before following him inside as her mother led them into the house, smiling up at Blaise when he nudged her. "We're engaged." she confessed, pulling away from him to hug her mother when she opened up her arms for them.

"I'm happy for you, Esther, really." Her mother murmured, pressing a kiss to her cheek before releasing her to turn to Blaise, giving him a hug too. "You better take good care of her, just like you have already." Her mother warned with a smile, although she was serious.

As she opened her arms to him, Blaise was more than happy to hug her. He saw this as ber accepting him a little more, which was good. It was something that Blaise would continue to work on. Even if Esther's mother could never like his family, he needed her to like him.

"I will continue to do so." Blaise assured her, smiling back softly. "I just want Esther to be happy and I'll do everything I can to do that." He then let out a small chuckle. "Though I also don't want to see what you would do if I failed." Blaise joked.

Esther smiled at her mother and Blaise as they hugged and spoke to one another, glad to see that they were getting along. They'd gotten along on and off since she and Blaise first began to date after the death of her father, but she hoped that they'd be able to get along going forward, especially given that they wanted to start a family relatively soon, and she wanted her mother to be able to be involved with her grandchildren.

"He won't do anything bad, mother, I promise." Esther reassured her, moving back to Blaise's side with a smile.

"I know he won't, if he knows what's good for him." Her mother stated simply, gesturing for them to come further into the house. "Can I do anything for you two? I'm sure you two need to tell your parents, if you haven't gone to see them already Blaise."

Blaise could not help the small chuckle that left him as Esther's mother gave her simple statement. It was not that he did not want to be on the other side of her wrath, for he certainly did not. Though Blaise was not all that worried about getting there. Doing so meant he hurt Esther in a day way which Blaise felt confident would not happen. As she gestured to come further into the house, Blaise did so.

"No, we haven't seen them yet." Blaise looked down at Esther with a smile as he lightly rubbed the small of her back. "Esther wanted to come and tell you first but we are going to head over there once we leave here." He assured Esther's mother as he looked back at the older woman.

His eyes shifted down to Esther gently. "Is there something that you wanted to do here or talk to your mother about?"
