Love Ain’t Simple||

Emily stared off into space thinking about what could possibly join she looked at Manny. “Hmm.. I’m not the political type, maybe I’ll join some art thing I don’t know.” She’s shrugged as she waited for the food.

Daniel looked at te blonde as he got the left overs out and headed it. “Is there something you like?” He asked staring at her looking around.

"Oh, I'm sure you'll figure something out." Manny reassured her. "Yeah, talk to Kylie tomorrow, and she might have a clearer, less distracted mind to talk to."

The blonde smiled at him. "Just admiring your house. I really like it." she said as she walked back over to him and kissed him. As they kissed, Kylie slowly wrapped her arms around his neck. "Dan, I don't think I want food right now." She whispered against his lips.

Emily nodded, “Yeah I guess I’ll talk to her more about t tomorrow” she agreed with them.

Daniel looked at Kylie and smirked, “what did you have in mind?” He picked her up and carried her to the sofa.

"I wonder what has gotten her so distracted though." Craig mumbled as he took a sip of his sprite. "I mean she always has a million and one things going through her mind, but to leave and not really join us at The Dot after school on the first day is really strange." He said, thinking about texting his friend, but didn't.

Kylie smiled, giggling as he picked her up to carry her to the sofa. "Oh Mr. Raditch, I didn't know you were so strong." She teased as she kissed him deeply. "Oh, I don't know, maybe recreate some of our summer fun or even go a little further?" She whispered.

Emily didn’t know Kylie so she wasn’t sure how to take all of this and she wanted to mention the principal but didn’t want to be a snitch so she didn’t say anything.

Daniel smirked and kissed her deeply, “that can be arranged now.. why don’t we go and have that fun time?”

3 Months Later...

Kylie was working on some things for Degrassi's Winter Dance coming up. She had helped every year since she started in Degrassi. But the last two years Kylie had been in charge of the dance. Things like school dances didn't bother her, but this time around something was up.

Stress had really been eating away at her, but if she was being honest and truthful with herself, it had nothing to do with school stuff. Closing her eyes, a wave of nausea hit her, causing her to take a deep breath in and out, refraining from getting sick. As she rested for a moment, she thought about the information she had received from the doctor about 2 months ago, knowing that she had to tell her news sooner rather than later.

After telling Manny bye so that she could go to work after school, Craig made his way to the school's library. He had some things to work on for his project in Chemistry, so he figured he'd work on it here since he had time.

As he walked through the door, Craig looked around to see who else was in the library. When he saw it was pretty empty, the young man made his way towards the computers, turning it on.

Daniel has noticed the change in demeanor Im Kylie’s attitude she seemed more nervous and sometimes he wondered what was going trough her head. He asked her about it but she would speak. Like she didn’t want to talk about it so he didn’t push her.

He noticed how she wouldn’t come over as often and he was starting to worry, he has messaged her and called her but it was like she was avoiding him. He had to use his power to send her to the office maybe finally getting something out of Kylie.

Over the past couple months Emily has grown closer to the group, except maybe Craig. He seemed nice enough but she didn’t want to develop any feelings for him. Though she noticed him catching glances.

She walked into te library and walked past him, she put a hand on his shoulder “hey dork, what you doing?” She teased

Kylie couldn't figure out why she was called to Dan's office. She had been in the middle of finalizing some things in the gym with the Spirit Squad for Friday's Pep Rally. She didn't say anything as she walked to the front office then into Dan's office.

Knocking on the door, Kylie stepped in. "Yes Mr. Raditch?" She asked softly as she closed the door, moving a little closer towards his desk.

Craig had just pulled up the search engine when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Emily hey!" He smirked. "Oh just working on this chemistry project Ms. H gave us." He smirked. "What about you?"

Daniel stared hard the young woman and wondered why the hell she was acting weird. “I called you in because I didn’t know how else to get you to respond, what’s going on with you? Why are you acting weird.. talk to me Kylie I want to help.”

Emily sat next to Craig and shook her head, “just figuring out what I’m going to wear for this dance thing.. some dude asked me to the dance and I said okay for some reason” she laughed.

Kylie bit her bottom lip as Dan tried to figure out what was wrong with her. Tears filled her eyes as he asked what was going on with her and why she was acting weird. "'Dan..." she said, trying not to cry. But that was it, the waterworks began softly.

Craig laughed, bringing his attention fully to her now. "Some dude asked you and you said okay. How so romantic?" He teased her. "Well most girls wear dresses to these dances." He teased.

Daniel’s hard expression soften watching the young woman burst into tears he quickly walked over to her. Getting on her level “don’t cry sweetheart, I’m here for you. Tell me what’s wrong.” He asked again while rubbing he back.

Emily rolled her eyes, “listen here you dork, i don’t know the dating thing so I don’t know how to act when some rando asks you out..” Emily looked through the search engine for dresses, “don’t be a smartass Manning, you know what I mean. I’m thinking something kind of slutty..” she laughed.

"I'm suppose to be Little Miss Perfect....Little Miss Goodie-Goodie." She wiped her tears away, looking to Dan. "For goodness sakes everyone calls me Little Miss Degrassi, that I never do anything wrong."

She looked back down at her hands, more tears pouring down her soft cheeks. "Dan...." She said in a teary voice.

Craig laughed as he teased her. "Slutty? How um...what an interesting choice." He said. "Why slutty?" He then asked.

Dan stared at her, “You don’t have to be perfect no one is. Okay, just talk to me ne. Who cares what the world thinks as long as you’re happy.” He brushed the tears away and sighed softly.

“What is it Kylie?” He asked with growing concern.

Emily rolled her eyes. “You know what, never mind I’m just going to go home and eat cheese doodles and not go.” She got up gathering her books, “see you around.” She mumbled before storming out.

Kylie looked to him, seeing the growing concern on his face. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath in then out. She rushed out of the room, going to the nearest washroom where she got sick. After she was done, she rinsed her mouth. She then looked to herself in the mirror before placing a hand on her bump. She lifted up her oversized sweater to see her small bump . "Kylie you have to tell him." she whispered.

She then headed back towards Dan's office. She stepped back in his office, tears still in her eyes.

Craig looked to her but didn't say anything else. "Oh, okay." He watched her storming out. He was a little confused on what he said wrong, but didn't put much thought to it.

Daniel stared at the blonde “calm down everything will be okay” Daniel told her. He rubbed her legs, “talk to me. Kylie .”he rubbed her back he was going to wait for her to respond.

Emily just went to her clases like normal ignoring people and minding her own business.

Kylie took a moment to calm down and breathed. She slowly relaxed as he rubbed her back. "Dan." She straightened up a little as she put her hands in her lap. "Dan." She repeated. "Please don't hate me." She whispered. "I'm pregnant." She cried.

Craig went on with his project, getting lost in his project.

Hazel came up beside Emily, seeing her walking. "Hey Emily. How are you?"

Daniel looked at Kylie, “why would I hate you?” He asked softly his eyes soon widening at her news. “What...are you okay?” He rubbed her back.

Emily sighed softly looking up “I’m good how are you?”

Kylie looked to him, her tears finally stopped coming. "I'm okay, minus the morning sickness." She looked to him. Blinking her eyes she took a deep breath in then out. "Dan, I'm keeping this baby."

The young girl looked to her. "I am good." She stopped to take a minute to look at Emily. "Are you sure you're good?"

Daniel looked at Kylie and offer, his face harden when she told him that need. His jaw was clenched as he closed his eyes, “you know what this means right? If anyone finds out I’m the father I’m losing this job and possibly jail time..”

Emily stared at Hazel, “Yeah I’m juat stressed having problems with my parents.. it’s no big deal I’ll be fine.”

Kylie frowned. "Dan, no one will know if your baby. We can keep that a secret." She looked to him as she stood up, showing her small baby bunp that had been hiding under her oversized sweater. Tears filled her eyes as she watched him look at her bump.

Hazel nodded, "Alright." She then looked to her. "Where is everyone? I know Craig said something about taking this free time to go to the library and Manny had permission to leave early, due to work. However, have you seen Kylie? She's been so distant with everyone lately...it's kind of weird."
