Love Ain’t Simple||

Daniel stared at Kylie trying to process how this happened he was so careful.. they both were. He sighed and stared at her swollen belly, placing his hands on it smiling softly. “What are we going to do about your parents?”

Ella shrugged, “I’m not sure, yeah Craig is working on some school. I haven’t talked to Kylie in a couple of days, I have a lot going on so I don’t know..”

A small smile danced on the young girl’s face when she saw Dan smiling softly. “Dan, dad knows you. You guys were college buddies.” She sighed softly. “So hopefully they will take it lightly. I mean mom has always known that I would more than likely end up with someone older.”

Hazel nodded. “Alright well I was just asking. Listen I’m about to head to the gym to help with the decor for the Pep Rally tomorrow. Do you want to help out? We could use your arts skills.”

Craig kept working on his project, bored as Hell.

Daniel sighed, “they’re going to kill me” Daniel knew this wasn’t going to sit well with either of her parents. “I know but I don’t think they’ll approve.,” he sighed.

Emily looked at hazel not really wanting to help but she figured she might as well. “Sure, I’m not that artistic, but I’ll help you.”

“Dan, they are NOT going to kill you. Yes they might be a little shocked, but nothing more.” She said, trying to reassure him that everything was okay. “No one has to know though.” She sighed. “I’m sure we’ll come up with something.”

Hazel smiled. “Thanks Emily.” She said with a smile. “It will be greatly appreciated.” She started walking towards the gym with her.

Craig has finished his project assignment and decided to go see if they needed any help for tomorrow’s Pep Rally. When he saw Hazel and Emily, he nodded over to them. “Hey guys!”

Daniel looked at Kylie and shrugged, “well, it’s not exactly something they want to hear is it?” He stood up and sighed “I’m sorry this is just stressful and I can’t imagine how you’re feeling.”

Daniel rubbed Kylie’s back “Did you want to go home early?”

Emily followed hazel and looked over to see Craig, “hey. Where you been?” She wanted to ask him how everything was going by seemed too personal.

Kylie shook her head, pulling her shirt down a little to cover her small growing bump. When Dan suggested that she go home, she wasn’t sure. Sure there was part of her that wanted to go home but she always had to help finish stuff for the Pep Rally.

“Thanks, but no thanks. I need to really go help with the Pep Rally stuff.” She picked her bag and then looked to him. “I’ll see you later tonight.” She kissed him quickly before stepping out. (I’ll let you decide when to bring in Sean.)

Craig smiled at Emily. “Really I’ve been in the library...you knew that silly.” He laughed lightly. “How can I help?” He asked. “Well muscles you could help by hanging this banner.” Hazel laughed.

Daniel simply nodded and looked over st the time “all right.” He wanted to make sure she was all right. “Just take t easy okay? Don’t work yourself too much and don’t lift heavy boxes.. okay I’ll stop” he shook his head.

Daniel let Kylie leave and went back to his work, looking over some forms he had to sign. How was he going to face his friend and his family after this?

Emily rolled her eyes, “I forgot I don’t keel up win you” She laughed walking over to te gym. Emily grabbed some paper and sketched something out “how about something like this?”

Kylie gave him the look. “Honey I’ll be okay. I promise. I won’t lkde anything heavy and I’ll ask for help when I need it.” She then walked out of the principal’a office, pulling out her phone to send a text to one of the committee members, more like answer questions that they had while she went to talk to Mr. Raditch.

She sighed softly to herself as she answered then put her phone away. No one was around so has she walked. Kylie placed a hand on her small hidden bump feels small flutters.

Craig laughed lightly at her as they stepped into the Gym. “Wow guys this is looking great!” He exclaimed with a small smile. He waved at a couple people that he knew, looking around. “I’ll be able to get some really great shots with my camera tomorrow during the Pep Rally. I can’t wait.” He looked to Emily. “So what’s your hidden talent?”

Daniel sighed and decided he’d leave early for the day to get time for himself. He wanted to think things through. How and when they were going to tell Kylie’s parents. He looked at the time and decided to check on the pep rally stuff before he left.

Emily looked at all the stuff and looked over at Craig, “what do you mean? I don’t have any hidden talents, I mean I used to be in a band but that cut short when I moved here.”

As time passed, Kylie had found herself standing on a ladder, fixing and hanging out some things that she had other people take care while she was gone. Perfection was something else about Kylie. She knew things didn't have to be absolutely perfect, but she preferred it. Saying by to some people as they left for the day, Kylie remained on the ladder, not even thinking about Dan walking in to see her in this current state.

Craig worked with Hazel and Emily getting things done for Kylie. He looked to Emily, shaking his head. "Oh, I'm sure you have some hidden talents. Hidden talents that you don't want Degrassi to see." He teased as he blew up more balloons with helium. He then tied balloon ribbon to the ends of the balloons, handing them off to either Hazel or Emily.

Daniel walked into the gym and looked around to see all the progress. As he looked around he noticed a certain blonde on the ladder and he frowned. Walking over to Kylie careful not to startle her. “Young lady what are you doing?” He was frowning. He didn’t like how this was lookjng she could her herself and their unborn child.

Emily stared at Craig, “I just told you I was in a band. That’s kinda of a hidden talent that you guys didn’t know until now..” she shook her head that boy never listened.

Kylie had just reached up, pulling up the banner up to the wall. She was just adjusting the piece of paper when she heard someone clear their throat and ask what she was doing. She bite her bottom lip, a little nervous to turn around. She could tell that Dan was already frowning, and she didn't like to see him upset at her. She took a deep breath in then out, looking around to him. "Mr. Raditch, I was just hanging up one of the banners....well fixing the banner, it was crooked." She started to move down the ladder, meeting him on the floor.

"You used to be in a band?" Craig said with a sweet smile. "Well, I think that's really cool." He smiled. "You know you could join my band." He winked. "At first, I didn't want any girls, however, every band needs one female." He winked as he saw Raditch walk in. He said nothing to the principal, just nodded, watching the older man. He then watched him go over to Kylie, but that was nothing unusual. However, seeing him a little upset as he walked over to Kylie. "That's weird..." He mumbled as he brought his attention back to Hazel and Emily.

Daniel glared se the young lady, “you really should be more careful you could fall and hurt yourself. We wouldn’t want that now would we “ He shook his head. “I’ll leave you to it then.” With that he said bye before walking out and going to his car. He had so much to think over. As he drove home Daniel thought about what and how the baby was doing. He wasn’t a parent but he always wanted to be.

Emily nodded. “I’m good thanks, I couldn’t be in another band, I might go solo though.” She shrugged finishing up decorating. Before standing up, “I have to get going my dad just messaged me, “ she told them. “I’ll see you guys later,” she waved.

Kylie frowned a little, refusing to let herself get upset. Looking around, she saw that she was the only one in the gym at this point. Hazel and them finished up what she asked them to do, and then left. This was perfect though, it allowed her to go over everything, making sure that all was set. She pulled out her phone, quickly texting Dan. "I'm sorry for upsetting you." She text, then finished up some things.

"See you later." Craig said as he gathered his belongings before heading out. He went to meet up with some friends. They were going to be having practice toady with the band. He was semi-distracted and he couldn't understand why.

Daniel got home and set his things on the table before walking to the living room and taking a seat. He looked at his phone and messaged her back, “I’m worried about you both, you have to be careful.. are you coming over tonight? I think we need to talk about what we’re hoing to do.”

Emily got home and wondered if her dad was all right, he seemed pretty sad lately. Her mother had walked out in them and Emily was doing her best to keep things together. She ran ocde to him and hugged him, “I’m here daddy. It’ll be okay.” She just wanted to be there for him, though he kept saying he was fine.

Kylie smiled a little, glad that he replied back. "Yes, I am finishing up and then I'll be over." She replied. She then finished up before walking out of the Gym. She got to her Jeep and checked the back for her bag of clothing before heading over to Dan's place. When she arrived, Kylie got up and walked over to the door. She knocked on the door, then used her spare key to open the door. "Honey, I'm home." She smiled.

When Craig got together with his band, he tried his best to stay focused. Everyone kept asking what was going on with him, but he just shrugged it off saying it was nothing. "Dude, you're lost because you didn't get to spend much time with your girl today." Spinner teased him. Craig shook his head. "Oh yeah, totally." He rolled his eyes at Spinner, shaking his head.

Daniel quickly messaged Kylie back and decide to cook her something he wasn’t sure I’d she’d be hungry or not. Daniel took his for off and then changed into something makes casual and comfortable hearing her come in. “I’m comjng,” he walked over and took a good look at Kylie, “have your friends know about this?” He asked curiously.

Emily sighed softly, it has always been the two of them. Emily’s mother wanted to take her with her but Emily was not going to abandon her father it was awful, he feeling of abandonment. “No dad I haven’t met any boys I like thank your lucky stars” she laughed.

Kylie smiled at Dan, loving that she caught him wearing casual and comfortable clothing. "Look at you all casual clothing and all." She closed the front door and locked it. When he asked if she had told her friends about it, she shook her head. "Nope. Hence why I've been wearing the oversized sweaters and all. Thank goodness it's the winter time." She laughed lightly as she took off her sweater, revealing her lacy bra and small bump. She then opened her bag, slipping into a light pink tank top. As she pulled down the shirt, the small bump showing through her shirt.

Craig laughed lightly as they started to practice their music. He then shook his head, stopping once more. "Dudes, we really sound awful." He laughed. Marco looked to him and nodded. "We need to work on things...I couldn't agree more." The young boy told Craig as he put his guitar down. "Hey guys, we are way better than we were from the beginning." Jimmy reminded them. Craig nodded, slightly laughing. "Yeah, it's much better than when we first started."

Daniel smiled watching Kylie getting changed, “I can’t belive we’re going to be parents.” He walked over and kissed her softly, “I’m making you some food” he walked into the kitchen. “Your favorite, so have you had any weird craving?” He asked while cooking. “There’s juice in the fridge If you want some..”

Emily was debating on going out, “dad I’ll be back I'm going to get some ice cream I’ll be back later” she walked out after grabbing a coat. She was going for some hot chocolate instead..

Kylie smiled when he mentioned that they were going to be parents. "I know it's crazy." She giggled and kissed him softly. When they pulled away, she watched him from behind as he walked into the kitchen. She shook her head a little. She still couldn't believe that she was dating this man, and she wouldn't change it any other way. "It's not a weird craving but all I've wanted lately is mixed fruit and jello." She laughed lightly. Going to the fridge to get some juice.

"You know what guys, lets call it quits for the day." Craig laughed lightly. "Lets go grab a bite to eat at The Dot." He suggested. "Good idea man, I'm starving." Spinner announced with a bright smile. "Dude, you're always hungry." Jimmy laughed as he packed up his guitar. "What can I say, I'm a growing man." Spinner announced. Craig rolled his eyes as they all headed out of the garage getting in Craig's car. Once they were in, Craig drove to The Dot.
