Natasha looked to him as she packed away her final idea. "Well thank you Sir," She said, thanking him once more for the book. She started to get up from her seat, pushing in the chair.

Looking over to him once more, she couldn't stop smiling. "I'll think about it, but be expected to see me." She laughed lightly.

Charlie blushed softly, "well I look forward to it," he said. He picked up his things, "come by my office sometime after tomorrow, to pick up that book, I'll make sure to have it there for you," he said lightly.

He moved to the door, and opened it up for her, holding it open.

"Absolutely sure I can do that." Natasha nodded. She then grabbed her things, walking through the door. "Thanks.' She smiled.

THE NEXT DAY...

After her classes that day, Natasha checked the time on her Apple Watch seeing that she had some extra time. This was perfect though because she could stop by Professor Martin's office to pick up that book.

Going to the closest bathroom, she freshened herself up a little before heading to the Professor's office. Getting to his office door, Natasha lightly knocked on the door, waiting for him to tell her to answer.

Charlie didn't have any actual lectures the next day, but he still came in, to be available for students. He was relaxing in his office reading, enjoying the day, as he wasn't expecting any students to come see him this early in the semester.

He heard a knock at his door, and looked up, "come on in," he called. He was low key hoping it would be Miss Anders stopping by.

A small smile appeared on her face when she heard his voice say come on in. Stepping into the office, Natasha looked to him. "Good Afternoon Sir." She said brightly. "I hope I'm not bothering you."

Charlie swiveled around in his chair to face her "Afternoon Miss Anders, of course not please take a seat," he said. He looked at her, looking over her again discreetly. "What can I help you with today young lady?" he asked softly.

Natasha smiled as she sat down. "You told me to swing by today for the book." she reminded him as she looked over him. "do you still have the book for me?"

Charlie nodded and smiled, "oh that's right," he said softly. He lent over and picked the book up off his desk, "Of course here it is," he said softly. He placed it in front of her, "how have your first couple days back been?" he asked.

He liked that she'd come to see him, often on these days when he didn't have lectures, he might never see anyone else, and they could get lonesome and boring.

Natasha smiled, she thought it was sweet and sincere how he asked how her first couple of days had been. "It's been really good." She said sweetly. "My first day was the best though." She laughed lightly, recalling the fact that her first day was his class and only his class.

Taking the book from his hands, Natasha held onto the book. "Again, thanks for letting me use this book. It saved me a nice penny." She smiled.

Charlie smiled, glad to hear her start to semester was good. He looked at her, his eyes lingering for but a moment, "That is good to hear, some students don't like their first couple days, usually nursing a hangover," he said lightly.

He nodded lightly, "of course, It would of just sat on my shelf all semester otherwise," he admitted. He sat back, "so what other papers are you doing this semester?" he asked.

Natasha smiled, "Yeah I have a couple of friends like that. Couple days in and they have hangouts...like what the hell." She laughed lightly, shaking her head. "I don't understand it or understand them some time."

"What papers am I doing this semester?" She asked.

Charlie nodded, "yeah well hopefully they'll settle down and get focused, most professors don't put up with nonsense after the second week," he admitted. He smiled softly, "Sorry, What courses are you doing other than mine?" he asked curious.

Natasha nodded, "It would make sense." She then looked to him. Well I have a math class, a bio science class, your class, and an elective." She looked to him and smiled. "Pretty boring, I know." She laughed. "I'm not busy at all." She said with much sarcasm.

Charlie nodded, "well the students pay to be here, it gets frustrating seeing them waste their opportunities," he said. He chuckled softly, listening to her, "well that sounds good, nice an varied actually," he said surprised. He looked at her, "have you thought about what you want to do when you finish?" he asked.

She sat further back in her chair, crossing her legs, revealing that she was wearing a knee-length dress today. "I have." She said proudly. "I mean, I am in my Junior Year of College." She smiled sweetly. "I am going to school to be a nurse." She said proudly. "I've waited to be a nurse since I was a little girl." She then blushed, not believing that she just told him that.

Charlie's eyes were drawn down to her legs when she shifted in the chair. He blushed softly, before he looked back up at her face. "Well that is a noble pursuit, and certainly attainable," he said softly. He shifted in his seat, "I wish you the best of luck with that, and please know if you need any help from me, all you have to do is ask," he said lightly.

Natasha smiled. "Yeah that's what everyone tells me." She said, observing him as he shifted in his seat. "Thank you Professor Martin, that means a lot to hear you say that." She said sweetly. Looking at her watch, she looked back up to Charlie. "I probably should be going. I think I've bothered you enough."

Charlie smiled and nodded, "Of course, I always like to help my pupils, if they need it," he said softly. He nodded hearing her say she should be going, "You haven't been bothering me, and please feel free to come see me whenever, even if you just want a chat, or even a quiet place to study," he said softly.

Natasha nodded, "I really appreciate that. I just might take you up on that offer some thing." She smiled as she played with her hair a little. She couldn't stop looking at him now. She bite her bottom lip and smiled as she looked away.

Charlie smiled softly, "I hope you do," he said softly. He noticed her watching him, but ignored it. He rose out of his chair, and moved over to her. "Come on, you should head to your next class, before you get in trouble," he said softly, placing his hand gently on her shoulder.
