"Um." She came back to reality, just looking to him now. She then asked this question without even thinking or meaning to say it aloud, "Would you like to have coffee with me some time?"

Professor Martin looked at her, and blushed slightly when he heard her question. He smiled politely, "Miss Ander's although I would like to take you up on that offer, I don't think it's really appropriate," he said softly.

Natasha nodded, completely understanding him saying that. It only made sense and he was right. It wasn’t really appropriate, but gosh did she want it to happen. “No you’re right, and I’m sorry for asking that question. I really don’t know where it came from.” She blushed a deep red color, thinking she needed to exit now before she wrecked her life anymore.

Charlie smiled softly, "truly it was a lovely offer, and don't be embarrassed," he said lightly. He stood up from his chair and moved over to her. He put his hand on her back rubbing it gently, "you are a very attractive young lady, I'm sure you'll find someone your own age," he said softly.

The same deep red blush remained on her cheeks as she felt his hand on her back. She then thought she was about to pass out when he called her attractive. She didn't acknowledge it, but she did think about it. "Well I should be going..." She said as she got up.

Charlie nodded softly, "yes okay," he said softly. He stepped back slightly, "thank you for coming by, I hope you feel like you can come by anytime still,' he said softly. He moved back to his chair, and sat down, "I'll see you in class Natasha," he said softly.

Natasha looked to him. "Yes, Professor Martin. See you in class." She then walked out. What the hell, Natasha She scolded herself as she headed to the library. She needed to find something to do.

Charlie smiled to her as she left. He sighed softly to himself, why did you say no, you idiot, she's a bombshell he thought quietly. He tried to go back to work on his research, but found himself too distracted. He packed up his things and headed home, figuring he'd take a couple days off working at home. He turned the sign on his office door, to "out of the office, try my email".

Keeping her mind distracted from her huge embarrassing moment with her Professor. She still couldn't believe herself that she asked her professor out to coffee. She stayed in the library for quiet some time, then finally left, going to get some dinner for herself.

Charlie made it home, and sat down to some food. The interaction played through his mind on a loop, and the more he thought about it the more, he wanted to have coffee with her. He sighed softly, trying to figure out how to handle this situation.

He knew that if he started seeing her, he'd have to make it clear nothing would affect her grade, and she couldn't blackmail him for better marks. He'd have to declare it to the head of the department.

Natasha ended up gong to a little Restraurant, right off of the campus. She sat down at the table by herself, pulling out the book that she started at the library. She was still trying to distract herself, but she kept thinking about Professor Martin. She felt like she should write to him and apologize, but she didn't want to come off as crazy.

After a few restless nights, and less than productive days working from home, Charlie resigned himself to the fact that he should accept her invitation for coffee, if it came up again.

He was looking forward to teaching his class again today, and was curious as to whether she'd come to class, considering he'd told her he wouldn't be covering anything he hadn't already discussed with her. He pulled on his suit, and headed out to work.

It had been a couple of days since she last saw him, and boy was she nervous. Natasha was half tempted to skip class but she knew needed to face her professor. He has every right to decline, because in the end, he was right it wouldn’t be appropriate for them to go to coffee together.

As she entered the room for his class, Natasha notice she was the only one so far. She had come a few minutes early but didn’t think she’d be the first one...again.

Charlie smiled when he noticed Natasha was the first one in again. "Morning Ms Anders,' he greeted. He was sitting at his desk, drinking coffee, the papers, and handouts she'd copied for him, sitting on the first desk by the door.

He sat back, "how was your week?" he asked.

Natasha looked down at her books, scared to look at him. "Good Morning Professor Martin." She spoke as she sat down. "It was good." She spoke, opening her book and started reading. She still felt so embarrassed about asking him to coffee, and didn't know how to not feel stupid about it.

Charlie smiled softly, "good I'm glad to hear it," he said softly. He sat sipping his coffee some more, "Will you be working in the library this afternoon?" he asked curious.

Natasha finally looked up from her book to the Professor. "Yeah, I am going to go have lunch after this last and then go there." She spoke as she picked up her book. She didn't think too much as to why he was asking if she was working in the library this afternoon or not. He was probably just making small talk.

Charlie looked at her briefly, "well that's good, I might be headed over there, I need to find a book," he said softly. He truly did need to find a book, for his research, but he was also hoping to catch her alone again.

"Oh, of course." Natasha said with a sweet smile."I'll be there and I'll be more than happy to help you find a book." She smiled.

Charlie nodded, "that sounds great, thank you," he said. He looked up as the rest of his class began filtering into the room. He fell silent waiting for the clock to indicate it was time to start his lecture.
