The woman smiled and enjoyed the last of their day, they turned to Jessie, "The rest of the week will go by quick, and he won't be able to take his hands off of you agian," Jasmine said softly.

Jessie smiled softly at them. "Thank you but I don't think it's going to be that easy of a reunion." she said and hugged Jasmine. "Thank you for today. I'll probably spend tomorrow at home writing but I'll be back. I still have to figure out a way to spend some not completely awkward time with Mr. Pembroke." she chuckled lightly then made a slight bow to Penelope before getting in her car and driving home.

The two woman smiled gently at her, "well, you do have to teach him a lesson for being such an ass," Jasmine teased. She winked at Jessie and then headed off home.

Jessie spent the next day writing thinking of ways she could have what she wanted and make Viktor realize just how fuck up this entire week had been. She knew he needed it but that didn't make it okay for her. She was just grateful it wasn't more than a week. Jessie lay in bed thinking about what she was going to do the next day to try and get to know the rest of the Pembroke family. Maybe she would just see if she could join Jeremiah in whatever he was doing whens he showed up. Maybe he would be reading or something simple where silent companionship could be obtained.

Viktor was waiting for Jasmine in her room, to interrogate her about the day. He was concerned Jessie would of not liked Penelope and was having second thoughts.

Jasmine walked in and looked at Viktor. "Really? An ambush?" she asked and kicked off her shoes sliding onto her bed looking at him. "Okay tell me what's on your mind." she said.

Viktor blushed and watched her, "yes, really, how was today, how is she doing?" he asked.

Jasmine rolled her eyes. "Why don't you just go see her? She's at her cottage all alone and you could just go in there while she's sleeping and check on her." She tempted him then sighed at the look he gave her. "Fine. She's fine, pissed and hurt but fine. She's not showing any signs and is anxious to get back to you but she also isn't planning an easy reunion. Whatever issues you have in telling her everything you better resolve them in the next three days because she isn't going to take no for an answer." Jasmine sighed. "Mom likes her a lot. She likes mom too. They talk easily, maybe too easily. Jessie is good at getting people to open up." she told him. "She doesn't know it but she is, she wouldn't believe me if I told her because you haven't really told her anything."

Viktor smiled softly, "thank you, I will tell her what she wants to know, if she still wants to know," he said softly. He looked at her, "I won't be like her," he said.

Jasmine nodded. "I know. And you aren't but you also don't need to be her opposite either." She was glad he would talk to Jessie after all of this. She shoed him out of her room before getting ready to sleep.

The entire day went by and it was strange how quiet the world seemed without the Pembroke's in her day. She woke the next day and wore a more traditional dress as she went to go and find Jeremiah. She walked into the Pembroke estate and saw Maxwell. "Where's your father?" she asked and got a snotty look from him as he looked her over. "Library." he said and Jessie nodded. "Thanks." she headed that way thankful Maxwell decided he had better things to do than to bring her down right then. His better things probably had to do with scaring her off. As Jessie moved into the library she saw Jeremiah with a book in hand. "Jessie." he called without looking up and she blushed. "Let me guess you could smell me coming?" she asked and he laughed. "Yes but I heard your heart beat long before I smelled you." he said looking up and smiled. "Come sit."

Jeremiah smiled as Jessie came into the room closer, he put his book down on the desk. "So tell me, what is on your mind today?" he asked.

Jessie looked at Jeremiah as he set his book down. She sat in a nearby chair. She shrugged. "A lot but nothing I can focus on. A lot my my answers need to come from Viktor but he doesn't even want to be around me right now." she shrugged trying to hide her feelings about it. "Could you tell me more about your world though? I feel like I don't know so much."

Jeremiah smiled softly, "Trust me, once he knows you are fine, and want this yourself, he will be back to normal," he said lightly. He nodded, "sure, lets talk," he said softly. He spent the next hour or so answering her questions about the vampire world.

"Okay so basically the legends are true about vampires deeds but not about how they live?" Jessie rubbed her temple feeling like they had talked in a big circle. "Why did you start this family? Why do you have the rules you do?" she asked him.

Jeremiah smiled softly, "humanity," he said softly. He looked her over, "the rules, allow us to stay together in a larger group, and in the same place longer," he said softly. "It lets us all build relationships and live as normally as possible," he said.

Jessie considered it. Being alone or even with only one person for eternity could get lonely but a group had dynamics that changed as they all changed with the years. She nodded softly. "Why are you making the exception for Viktor? Am I just a replacement for Isabella?"

Jeremiah smiled softly at her, "I'm not making an exception, I'm letting him make his choice," he said calmly. He smiled softly, "usually the one chosen doesn't get to pick another, but he didn't come into this with all the information, he didn't get to make a choice to join us," he said.

Jessie listened and nodded. It made sense and she was grateful to hear he was finally being given a choice. She pulled her hair to the side. "Do you think it's a good choice?" she asked quietly.

Jeremiah smiled softly at her, "I think you will fit in, and you seem to be asking the right sort of questions to know if this will be for you," he said softly. He looked at her, "It is a decision that lasts forever, Jessie, so take the time away from him to think over whether you actually want this," he said.

Jessie looked down as he suggested using the time away to decide. "I have been thinking it over and I have the rest of the year, and so does he to figure if this is right but... I love him. Not in a I'm always happy way but something deeper and more true." she told him. "I wont rush this but I know how I feel about him and about this and I don't think it's going to be changing." she said. "Thank you for you're time Sir." she said and stood. "I'll let you get back to your book." she said and reached over squeezing his arm like she would a friend. She moved out into the hall and was so distracted thinking she didn't notice who she bumped into until she looked up.
