Peyton smirked as she felt his hand land on her leg, he was play into her game. And she was eating up every second of it. "Mmm, I don't think they offer that here." She told him, knowing that he wasn't speaking about real dessert, and honestly she wondered if he knew more about her than he was letting on. "I mean you can always ask," she picked up the check showing him the girls number. "But I think it'd be more like blueberry pie." She teased, knowing that if she had to say it was the worst pie in her mind. And when thinking of cherry being the epitome of pure then blueberry was the opposite in her mind.

Kyle snatched the check from Peyton's hand."Maybe I'll find out and let you know." He winked at her but he had no real intentions of calling the waitress but he liked that it irked Peyton and he wondered how far he could take this."And just what kinda dessert girl are you? Sweet ripe cherry pie? Warm apple pie? Maybe even juicy peach cobbler? Or maybe you're just a slice of blueberry pie."

Peyton frowned when he took the check from her, she turned away from him lightly. Knowing that she shouldn’t get upset, however she was acting like she was hurt by his actions. “Well then why don’t you have her take you home.” She countered, knowing that she could walk home from here. “Thats something you’ll never find out about.” She told him, before getting out of the booth. Setting his keys down on the table in front of him. “Goodnight Kyle.” She told him before heading for the door.

Kyle sat back confused by her actions as he watched her leave and he swore under his breath as he dug out his wallet and threw enough cash on the table to cover the cost of their meal and tip as he scrambled out of the booth, grabbed his keys and forcefully shoved the door open."Peyton." He called after her but she was no where in sight. He rubbed at his face unsure of what just happened as he jerked open his car door and slid in the driver's seat, cranked the car up and drove back to campus.

The next time Kyle saw Peyton, he was on his shift at the library. He hadn't seen her around on campus since whatever occurred at the diner that night. He had a bundle of notes bound together in his bag that he owed her but she hadn't reached out to him for them and he was unsure of where they stood with the exchange or if she wanted them from him still.

Peyton stopped as she was walking away from the dinner. Taking a seat down on the curb and pulling off her shoes. She wasn’t about to walk all the way back to campus in her heels. Hearing her name she looked up wondering if he was really chasing after her. Biting on her lips she felt her heart drop when she heard his car start up. She knew that she shouldn’t let it bother her, but it did. Not often did a guy get under her skin and make her want to come back for more.

After a few days of avoiding the library she found herself not being able to anymore. Her room mate was shacking up with some dude, and she really didn’t want to see or hear it. So she found herself buried in her studies in the library, though lucky for her when she’d arrived Kyle was no where in sight, as she didn’t feel like she wanted to deal with him. After losing her chance to get his notes, by letting her own emotions to get the best of her.

A soft sigh escaped her lips as she tried her best to focus on what she was reading. Huffing our she pulled off her jacket, getting rather hot.

Pushing aside his stubborn pride, Kyle grabbed the notes from his bag and made his way over to Peyton, sliding into the empty chair next to her at the table."A deal is a deal." He said as he dropped the stack of notes on top of whatever she was working on."But just so we're clear here, do you want to explain what the fuck happened at the diner?"

Peyton felt her nerves spike as her view of her book was obstructed. She’d been keen on ignoring the guy beside her, but he wasn’t letting up. And when she noticed the notes she couldn’t help but smile at him. “What do you mean?” She asked looking at him. Her brows furrowed lightly, she knew what he wanted to hear but she wasn’t about to tell him she’d been jealous. Because that wouldn’t happen, she’d just been his chauffeur. “Thanks for the notes.” She added.

Kyle rolled his eyes at her playing coy."You know exactly what I mean." He saw he had a few students lined up back at the register."If you want to stop ignoring me, there's a party tonight at Kappa Zeta, it's nothing big but you should come. Bring your friend if you want." He stood up and drummed his fingers on the back of the chair."No need to thank me, it was a deal after all." He headed back to his register post.

Peyton's eyes followed after him, wondering why all of a sudden he felt the need to come over to her and say anything. She was flattered that he'd offered for her to join him at a party. Though she felt there was something more behind his wanting her to join the party. Not thinking much on it she started to go over the notes he'd given her. Knowing that she had a lot to catch up on, and going to a party wouldn't be a smart idea, however she couldn't stop her mind from wandering back to taking him up on his offer.

After a bit of convincing Peyton followed after Meg to yet another house party. She knew that Meg was well informed when it came to parties so she didn't have to mention Kyle inviting her. It wasn't as if she hadn't plan on seeing him. She just wanted to go out and live it up a bit and if she ran into him so be it. Though it would be the same case as last time she wouldn't be drinking and just enjoying dancing and the conversations that came with meeting drunk people.

The party was like every other party, loud with chatter and cheesy pick up lines on drunk girls and a heavy vibration of the music, and Kyle was doing what he was best at, supplying and mingling. He had yet to see a glimpse of Peyton and he was almost beginning to think she wasn't going to show because she was doing a damn good job of ignoring him and usually, that wouldn't bother him in the slightest, some girl ignoring him because he was pretty verse in ghosting himself but Peyton, that was different.

Kyle caught sight of Meg though, dancing with some guy and he knew where there was Meg, Peyton wouldn't be too far behind.

Peyton smiled brightly at the guy before her, even though his words were being yelled at her. She still felt interested in what he had to say, and she couldn't help but laugh at his stupidity. She knew what he was looking for but it was always so fun to just talk to guy and get to see their ugly side as she called it. The true nature of beast. "So you having fun?" His voice lowered, and his smile widened.

"Yeah, the party's great." She told him back, laughing a bit with her words. She lifted her cup to her lips taking a sip of the carbonated beverage. Pulling the cup away she felt her smile falter as he moved a bit closer. "I meant are you enjoying yourself?" His words were a mixture of seduction and slurred drunkenness. Feeling his hand on her thigh she shifted uncomfortably. "I was." She told him brushing his hand off. And tugging down the bottom of her dress. "Come on, I think we can have a lot of fun together." He said placing his hand back on her thigh, pushing his hand under her skirt.

Kyle wasn't sure what he had stumbled upon with Peyton and some frat boy but he got the tail end of the conversation and with a huff of sigh, he pushed through the crowd and threw an arm over Peyton's shoulder, shoving the guy away."I don't exactly think she's interested." He sneered at the guy as he glanced to Peyton, gauging her reaction to him being there.

Peyton felt her body tense up, before she relaxed hearing the voice that came from the guy next to her. She didn’t know what it was about him but it had her stomach turning in knots almost like she’d been caught cheating. She watched as the guy bowed up at Kyle, then the realization hit him in the face. He quick nodded his head to the guy before fucking off. “What’s that going to cost me?” She asked him peering up at him through her lashes. Pulling her bottom lip in between her teeth. Her hand fidgeting with the fabric of her skirt.

"Believe it or not, not everything I do has a price." Kyle rolled his eyes as he dropped his arm from her shoulders once he saw the guy walk away."And I might be an asshole but I'm not that much of a fucking asshole, Jesus." He nodded for her to follow him into the kitchen where he grabbed himself a drink."But by all means if I cramped your style and you wanna go chat up Wandering Fingers McDouche go ahead." He shrugged as he took a sip out of his solo cup.

Peyton let out a dry laugh as he said he wasn't a big asshole. She followed after him anyways knowing that their night together was just getting started. However she didn't know what to think about him right now. Sure he'd invited her out but for what reason. She was nervous he might expect something from her. At the same time it made her stomach tighten in knots as she was excited to see. "Well he was more my style, though a little to quick to draw." She told him teasingly. Know the guy wasn't anything she'd ever see herself going after. He'd started to conversation, and she'd enjoyed it up till he started to get handys. But she didn't see herself ever going back to speak to him.

"I'm sure we can scrounge up another Grope Hands McGee by the end of the night for you." Kyle eyed the cup in her hands and he could guess it wasn't alcohol and the corners of his mouth turned upwards."So why did you come tonight?" He invited her of course and he wanted her to come but he wasn't really expecting her to show especially with how things were between the two lately.

Peyton rolled her eyes at his offer, “oh so now we’re setting each other up.” She said being a smart ass, she didn’t dare want to think about him being serious. “Meg told me I needed a social life so here I am?” She said knowing it was a complete and utter lie. But she wasn’t about to tell him that the night she spent with him was the most fun she’d had in forever. And she hated how it ended, but at the same time she was thankful she’d gotten away before being sucked to deep into his world. Everything screamed run while all she wanted to do was know more.

"Oh, did she? I wonder how she would feel about your choice of Rapey McGrabass?" Kyle drained the last of the liquid in his cup before sitting it down among the many others."But no need to lie to me. I invited you and you wanted to come but why is the million dollar question." He grabbed her free hand as he began to maneuver them through the crowd."You wanna come upstairs with me and see how to have a real party?" He asked her as they got to the first step and he anticipated her saying no but he had a few business dealings to finish up upstairs and even though she wasn't really into this world of his, he didn't mind that she was there with him.

Peyton felt shock consume her as he grabbed her hand and pulled her through the crowds, ignoring his question all around. She looked at him when he stopped her head tilting to the side as she debated on what his words could possible mean. She was unsure what he'd want from her. After all he'd made it clear that he was irritated with having some other man touching on her. She liked that he was showing his jealous, it showed her she wasn't the only one having a hard time dealing with the other persons choices. "Toothless isn't upstairs, right?" She teased him, hoping that he wouldn't see how nervous she was at going along with him. And as much as she knew she shouldn't let this bad boy get in side her head. She couldn't help it. She still had to think of a way to get the rest of the notes from him. "I mean I don't want to make her jealous or anything." She chuckled softly. Knowing that she wasn't prepared for what was going to happen. But she was willing to take the step, however she just hoped she didn't regret it.

Kyle rolled his eyes with a huff of a laugh as he pulled her upstairs and the further upstairs they got, the music was becoming more muddled and there were a few people hanging around the hallway until he pulled her into the attic and shut the door behind her. The music was barely audible now, the room was bathed in a bright blue light and there were only a handful of people up there."That's Sam and Drew." Kyle pointed to two boys, both sitting across from each other on beat up old sofas, a coffee table was in between and it was littered with scales, bags and paraphernalia."Guys, this is Peyton." Kyle sat down next to Sam as he patted the empty spot next to him for her to sit.
