A small chuckle escaped from Giovanni as he listened to Arielle. He didn't have anything to come back at her with, because it was true. Nothing was better than resting one's head on the lap of a girl who would do anything for him. Sure, most were obcessed with the idea of being with the Prince, but Gio's family usually made sure that girl stayed quiet after he had all of his fun with her.
"You could say that." Gio said in a teasing tone as he looked down at the young girl who was laying against his arm. Then slowly, his lips pursed into a thin line as he looked down at her. Each work that escaped from her lips caused Gio's heart to squeeze like someone was trying to drain him of all of the blood that it pumped into his veins.
"Hey." Gio said quietly, moving his arm that she was resting her head on to wrap around her shoulders and bring her body a little bit closer to him. "I will not do anything that could end up hurting you, Ari." Gio told her, his voice a little bit louder then a whisper. When Arielle reached up to wipe the blood from his lips, Gio reached up and grabbed her wrist before she could fully pull it away, then he turned his head. Breaking eye contact with her for a mere moment as he placed a small kiss to the inside of her wrist, right where her strongest vain was.
Looking back towards Arielle as he slowly brought her hand down to her lap, Gio did his best to offer her a small smirk. "I know you're terrified, but have you talked to any of the humans who work here?" He asked, his tone still quiet, no hint of him ordering her or sounding snooty about not talking to the blood servants. "I think you'll find their tales interesting to say the least." A small smile playing along his lips.
