Jasper frowned as she spoke but nodded. "I know that Emberly... But there are some Fae here that won't give you the time to be mad and come to your own decisions. I'm not saying that you have to stop being mad, but I ask that you dont shut me out, as all I want to do is help you and make you happy." He explained as he stood, nodding as she asked to go back to her room. He worried that she'd figure out who he really was when a Fae bowed to them as they passed, but because she didn't say anything he decided not to worry too much for now. "How are your wings feeling? I can put more of the salve on them, if you'd like."

Meredith let out a soft groan as she felt someone shaking her awake, her eyes fluttering open slowly. It took a moment for the sleep clouding her eyes to disappear, but when her gaze settled on Leo she felt instantly awake, beaming as she sat up to wrap her arms around him tightly. "You came... I wasn't sure if you'd come, but you did.." she breathed, her face tucked into his shoulder. "I missed you so much, Leo.."

Emberly bit her lip as they entered her room and she turned as he asked how her wings where. "Tender." she admitted and then fell pressing closer to her back making her wince. Their range of motion was improving for sure. She moved over to the mirror where she had put the salve having tired to put it on herself earlier. She pulled her hair over her shoulder and looked down and slightly back as Jasper moved closer to her. She could feel him there behind her his fingers applying the slave so close to her wings. Why was it sensual to have him so close to her wings? He was just finishing and brushed the tip of her wing making her blush brightly and she stepped away from him her wings fluttering quickly. She bit her lip and turned to look at him. She hadn't known wings where an erotic point but she guessed it made sense. They where such an extension of her self she had never known could be possible. Emberly needed to distract him before he figured out what happened to her just now, or at least so he didn't say anything about it. "Why won't some of the Fae here give me time? Surely they won't care about me other than I don't get in their way."

Leo beamed as Meredith's arms wrapped around him and he had her back. He grinned and kissed her head. "I told you I would come as soon as I could." he said and smoothed her hair back looking down at her face cupping her cheek. "Would you like to take a walk with me through the forest?" he asked her. He stood and held his hand out to help her up. "I am honestly just glad that you are still excited to see me." he said smiling. "I have news from my home to tell you about so that it will help you decide if you want to spend the rest of your life dealing with the things in my life with me." he smiled at her squeezing her hand sweetly.

Jasper waited for her to invite him in before stepping into her room and shutting the door, waiting for her to let him know she wanted him to put the salve around her wings. With a nod he moved over to her, offering her a faint smile as she looked back at him before beginning to gently rub the salve into her skin. He wanted nothing more than to lean forward and kiss the skin between her wings, to kiss her neck as his hands moved over her wings and body. But he knew she would not want that, and he wasn't about to force himself on her, so he'd wait. He chuckled a little at her reaction when he accidentally brushed his knuckles along her wing when he'd turned to put the salve away, watching as her cheeks heated up in a blush and she stepped away, wings fluttering. "Sorry to startle you like that, I should have mentioned that they're sensitive.. If you want, you could touch mine, if that would make you feel better." He grinned with a laugh, hoping she took it to be a joke, before frowning a little at her question. "Fae are.. picky. Those from high bred families like to keep them that way, and turning a human into a Fae is very rare. They can possess great talents and magic, but many are prejudice, and won't simply accept you as one of their own, even if you prove it time and time again. Plus, it gets trickier when you throw in marriage and children.. We'll sort it all out, I promise. I won't let them treat you poorly."

All Meredith wanted to do was lay in the grass with him and stare at the clouds in the sky, wrapped in his arms as she listened to his heartbeat, but she supposed that going for a walk sounded nice as well. She gratefully took his hand when he held it out to her, brushing off some stray pieces of grass that stuck to her skirt before turning back to him, squeezing his hand in return. "I've already decided that I do, so I don't know how much convincing you need to do. But I'd be happy to hear about your home." She smiled sheepishly, blushing as she looked away for a moment, before moving quickly to cup his cheeks in her hands, standing on her toes as she pressed a loving kiss to his lips. She'd been able to think of little else but the kiss he'd given her two days earlier, and now that he was here, she desperately wanted another one. Or several.

Emberly only turned more red as he suggested to tough his wing in return and she shook her head quickly. She relaxed when he returned to safer topics. She frowned the more she heard and shook her head. "So you took me from my home to a place where I have more people to judge me about just being a human before I was a Fae, not even on what I do or did but what I was? And you think this would be a better life for me?" she asked shanking her head. "You won't be around to protect me always and we have already talked about this. I am not ready to even consider you a friend yet so don't event think about babies and marriage." Emberly ran a hand through her hair frustrated. How could he think that his life for her would be better than her old life? She sighed and then went and sat at the table.

Leo was just about to start walking when Meredith took hold of his cheek and stopped him her body pressing against his as she moved to her toes. He placed his hand on her side his other hand going up in her hair. He kissed her back deeply. He hummed as she stopped his circling mind. Leo had been trying to be conscious of the fact that she still was a maiden but her lips dragged those thought away from him. He held her in his arms and signed softly. When he rested his forehead to hers breaking the kiss before he devoured her like his desire was asking him too, he rubbed her back. "I told you last time I am part of the royal family but I had no idea that my brother had brought a commoner home with the intent to marry her. My parents are adamant that he has to marry another but they look at me like the back up plan..." he shook his head. "I will not bend in this desire, for you Meredith, no matter how much they ask. You are the only one I want." he said.

"Once they see you the way I see you, no one will ever doubt you again." Jasper murmured softly as he stared at her, holding her gaze. It was clear that he deeply cared about her, and while he hadn't meant to make her uncomfortable about marriage and children, he knew that it would get brought up at some point. "I wish I had enough magic for the whole world to see you the way I do, Emberly, for what you are. No one, human or Fae, would ever question you. I'll always try my hardest to protect you, but if they could just see you, understand you, they'd know that you don't need protection. Not really." He sighed as he finally broke his gaze away from hers, turning to move back toward the door, his wings drooping a little in defeat. "I'll have someone bring you dinner in a few hours, and another potion if you'd like, to help you sleep."

Meredith had never felt happier. In that moment, as he held her and they kissed under the sunlight streaming through the leaves, she was truly, truly happy, for the first time in a long time. But as he pulled away and began to speak, that happiness was washed away, a cold, dark wave chilling her bones, her heart as she realized what was expected of him in his home. Tears began to well in her eyes as she squeezed them shut, gripping the front of his shirt tightly for a moment before gently smoothing the wrinkles she'd made out, letting out a shaky breath. "I... I should have known that it was all too good to be true.. That a lord would come and take me back to his home, that he'd love me, even though I-I'm no body.." She bit her lip hard enough to draw blood as she reluctantly began to pull away, opening her eyes to look at him. "You shouldn't fight your parents, Leo.. I... I know that you care, I do, but I'm just a peasant, no one.. You deserve a princess, a queen, and I'm neither of those things, and I'll never be."

Emberly was frozen as his eyes bore his soul into hers and she realized that his soul was so much more connected to hers than to his own. She didn't know him at all. She hadn't tried to know him and yet he knew so much about her. Yes he didn't know everything but he knew her desire to belong, her ferocity and her ability to protect. She felt her wings fluttering with the jumble of feelings. As he frowned and turned to walk away it was the sadness in her wings that broke her heart. She rushed over and pressed herself to his back gently as to not hurt his wings. She rested her cheek against his arm as she hugged him arms pinned to his body and all. "Thank you Jasper." she said. She knew this didn't fix everything but it was a start for them to build on. She stood there just a moment her wings beating with her wild heart before she turned away blushing and went to the doors that lead to her balcony. Emberly had no idea what his magic was but it hadn't mattered to what he had said. She bit her lip as she slipped out onto the balcony. She stood there knowing she should go in and eat her lunch that was probably more than cold but she just wanted a moment out here with the wind looking around with the appreciation that Jasper had trying to been getting her to see.

Leo shook his head as she started to pull away tears in her eyes. "No Meredith please." he nearly had to choke back a whimper when she pulled away. "Meredith." his said his tone quite demanding but also filled with his hurt. He stepped forward again and puled her into his arms. "What ever decisions we make I want them to be our and ours alone. Not because someone said it was right or that we should. I want you more than the breath that I breath but if you truly do not want me the same... If the life you would lead will not be one that will bring you joy even with me in it, then I will let you go. But do not let go because my parents expect my to be their back up king because my brother is not everything they wanted. That is not fair to me. It is not fair to my brother or his lover, or to you for that matter. It is high time the royals see that it is not about what blood line the princess comes from it is the caliber of her heart that matters and you my love have the biggest heart I know." he said and kissed her temple. "Please don't ask me to give you up for some snob girl that doesn't want to be in my arms or in my life just because she is a princess." he said his eyes meeting hers. His eyes sparkled with unshed tears as he pleaded with her. He knew that his royalty was scared and that wasn't the half of it. She would be so angry with him when she finally found out the rest upon her transformation. "Look it will take 4 to 5 days for me to be able to bring you back anyways. And the longer you wait the easier the transition will be so you have no pressure just think this over. I want you Meredith." he said and closed his hurt eyes pressing his lips to her forehead.

Jasper froze as he felt her come up behind him, eyes widening a bit as she wrapped her arms around him and thanked him. He was still for a moment before slowly reaching to take one of her hands, pressing a gentle kiss to her fingertips before pressing her palm over his heart, his hand resting over hers. "My heart is yours, Emberly, and it always will be. I don't expect anything from you in return, I'd never force you to give me your heart because you felt like you had to. I'd rather you give it freely, even if I have to wait a thousand years for it." He caught her hand one more time as she pulled away to press a kiss to the back of it before turning and leaving the room, shutting the door quietly before heading to his room.

Meredith froze as she heard his tone, saw the unshed tears in his eyes, and her own only flowed faster, shaking her head a little as she quickly moved into his arms again, wrapping her arms around him tightly as she tucked her face into his chest. "Don't cry.. please don't cry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you think that I don't want you. I do. I want to be with you so much it hurts to breathe when you're not around." She looked up at him, raising her hands to his cheeks to gently brush some of his tears away with her fingertips, before standing on her toes to kiss away the last of them. "I'll do anything to be worthy of you."

Emberly sat on the balcony her hand humming with he touch of his lips. She bit her lip. She had felt the whisper of his wings against her skin. she had known it was very intimate to hold him like that but it had felt like the right thing to do. It wasn't long before she moved back to her room and ate something that was one the plate from lunch just to tide her over to dinner. She walked over and combed out her hair so it fell down her back. The way her hair brushed delicately against her wings made her blush. Was it always like this? Did the Fae just get use to the feelings? Emberly bit her lip and wondered around the room finding some pen and paper, or something that looked similar anyways and started to write her swimming thoughts. So the knock at the door for dinner came a s a surprise. She stood to go and answer the door but the servant came in and bowed/ "Prince Jasper has instructed your dinner to be served." she said and Emberly frowned. "Set it on the table please." she said her heart boiling as she tried to keep it under wraps with the servant here. Once she cleared away the old dishes and left Emberly sank into the chair angry. She ate and finished her drink. It tasted amazing as always. When there came another knock she rose. "Come in." she said her angry just under the surface.

Leo signed as she kissed away his tears. He sighed. "You never have to do anything to be worthy of me in my eyes Meredith." he said and pressed his lips to hers. He kissed her gently and tender before he opened his eyes looking back at her. "Do you still want me to keep making a way for you?" he asked her. He would not force her to come with him into his world, his life. This was her choice and he would ask her at every turn. Leo wanted her to be sure so when she came all the surprises left where the ones that would cement her having to stay. He ran a hand through her hair. He wanted to get the news out of the way then spend the rest of his time with her just enjoying their time together.

Jasper heard the anger in her voice and winced, knowing that whatever progress they'd made earlier was likely gone. He slowly opened the door before stepping in, offering her a faint smile. "I see they brought you dinner. Is it any good? May I sit with you?" He asked, wings fluttering nervously behind him. "I'm.. I'm sorry if I've done something to anger you again.. I didn't mean it, Emberly, I swear."

Somehow this kiss was even lovelier than the first, and when she opened her eyes to look up at him he was asking her if she still wanted to come with him. She gave a little nod as one of her hands rested over his heart. "Always. I never want to leave your side, and I'll do whatever I have to in order to do it."

Emberly watched him walk in her eyes becoming blue orbs of hot fire as they bore into him. "You didn't mean to forget to mention your a prince?" she asked cooling the ice in her voice sparking the air like embers off a fire. The room was growing hotter and the air sparked with heat and as she stepped forward embers burned into the floor searing her steps into the floorboards as little embers sparked in the air falling down and around her. Emberly didn't notice her anger so hot she could only feel the burning inside of her. "You might as well have lied to me Jasper! First you take me here and turn me and now you expect me to marry you and become not only your wife but also the Queen of the Fae, a people that by your own words will never accept me! How could you do this?!" she asked and then looked at where his attention was going and she gasped seeing the fire in the air. She stopped and the air instantly cooled. Worry and panic laced her face as she looked back at the burn marks she had left in the floorboards. She bit her lip feeling the tears sparking up in her eyes not understanding how she could have made all this happen. She had read of Fae magic but never thought she would be the one to cause it to happen. She had made embers and fire appear just because of her emotions. It was then she turned seeing Artemis standing behind Jasper. "Wow Emberly that is amazing!" she said and clapped picking up the bottle she had set on the floor and worked her way around Jasper to Emberly. "Here drink this." she said and Emberly took it numbly. Artemis walked behind her and examined her wings. "Hmm I have never seen wings that take this long to heal." she said. "I will work on a potion to help heal you." Artemis said and then took the empty vial and patted Emberly's hand. "Have Jasper bring you to see me once you two are done with dinner. It think it will be best to start your magic training sooner rather than later since they are so tied to your emotions. It is amazing how quickly you are adapting to becoming a Fae." she said and patted Jasper's shoulder before leaving them to talk.

Leo smiled softly and kissed her hand. "Come on let's go back tot he clearing and lay down. We can talk more about my home I am sure you have tons for questions." he said and wrapped his arms around her as they moved through the forest back to the clearing. He was enjoying that he had her with him. He knew he only had hours left but he was going to enjoy every moment. It was every moment that fleeted away he hated to see go because that meant one less moment with her. Soon she would be with him though and he wanted nothing more than that.

Jasper had tensed when she called him Prince, starting to try to explain himself when he noticed the embers, the fire, and his eyes widened. His own magic curled at his fingers, ready to defend himself or cool her fire, but as it disappeared when she noticed it he relaxed, although Artemis' arrival caused his shoulders to tense once more, watching as she spoke to Emberly and gave her potions. He sighed once Artemis was gone, running his fingers through his hair. "Artemis is... Different. She's kind, though, and I think you two will be good friends eventually." He said, risking a step closer. "I know that I should have told you sooner, but I wanted to wait, let you adjust a bit before revealing it. And I've said it before, I'll say it again: I'm not going to force you to marry me, Emberly. Id like it, yes, but only if you're my bonded mate as well. And bonded pairs can't be forced, the magic is too old and strong. I cannot force you to bond yourself to me, the choice has to be yours, and the bond cannot be made unless we both truly want it."

Meredith nodded at his suggestion, holding his hand as they walked back to the clearing. Once there she took a seat in the grass again, waiting for him to sit beside her before curling into his arms, wanting to be as close as possible to him. She knew he'd probably have to leave soon, and she didn't want to waste a moment of their time together by not being close to him. "Tell me about your home... Our home.." she murmured softly as she rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes as she listened to his heartbeat.

Emberly sighed and sank into a chair. She felt drained and tired. Jasper was talking about not forcing her and wanting to be her bond before marriage. She liked Artemis and Jasper's words calmed her. She knew he had said it before and every time he said he didn't want to force her it helped calm her. She rubbed her face and looked up at Jasper. "Thank you." She said and ran a hand through her hair. "What must your parents think with you spending so much time with me?" She pulled her legs up into the seat and wrapping her arms around them then rested her head on her knees. "What is happening to me Jasper?" She whispered.

Leo sat with Meredith holding her to him. He smiled and knew it would be a shock for her the first time. "Well it is a beautiful place made of mostly natural structures." He smiled at her. "It is surrounded by woods and very private." Leo wondered what else he could say without revealing to much.

Jasper slowly moved closer, kneeling in front of her to gently rest his hands against her knees, hoping to soothe her. "My parents only want what's best for themselves, not what's best for me. They'll marry me off to some cold hearted Fae woman who's a good political match, but is not good for me or the Fae I'll one day rule over. I don't care what they think of me spending time with you, because I know that it's worth it, not only for myself, but my people." He explained softly, frowning as she asked what was happening to her. "Your magic is coming in. It's.. it's more than I expected, but Artemis is right, you ought to start training soon, today even, to learn how to control it."

Meredith hummed a little as he spoke, gently tracing patterns on his chest with her finger, listening as he spoke to her about the place that would soon be her home. "That sounds lovely.. What are the people like there? Your parents? You said you have a brother, too.. Will... Will they like me?"

Emberly looked up at Jasper as he knelt in front of her his hands resting on her knees. She listened to him and nodded as she came to understand that he believed in her and that his love was strong enough to bring them together and in that moment she could understand why. She went from yelling at him angry to depending on his words to keep her world from falling apart. When he started to explain about her powers she wondered if there would be more or if destruction was all she would be capable of. "What did you expect?" she asked wondering if she was completely abnormal. She looked down at his hands and took one off her knee turning it over and looking into his palm. "What is your power?" she asked him feeling like it was a mother intimate thing to ask him to tell her but she wanted to know, to understand him. There was obviously so little Emberly knew about him and it was something she wanted to work on.

Leo smiled as she asked about the people. It was hard to say what they where really like but he liked to believe that they were good. But before he could say as much she was asking about his parents and brother and then if they would like her and he frowned knowing the hard truth. Leo kissed her head and held her close. "Meredith there will be any people who will adore you and come to adore you but there are always those that will never be able to deal well with change. My brother and his... well the woman he loves will embrace you and come to love you as I do. The people might find it hard at first and their are some who will not turn around as for my parents... Meredith honestly I do not know. They have an idea of how their heirs are suppose to act and who they should marry but Jasper and I have decided on a different path. I can not promise you this will be an easy life change but I can promise that I will stand beside you no matter what."

Jasper smiled as she seemed to calm down, watching as she took one of his hands and slowly turned it in hers, smiling as she asked about him. "Well, when... If I become King, my Family's powers will transfer to me. The King has control of practically every magic, even if they're not masters of it. Although, as Prince, I don't have access to it yet, but I have my own." Mischief shown in his eyes as snowflakes began to dance off his fingertips to swirl around the room. "I can control ice and air. Seems fitting that the woman I love would have a heart of fire." He chuckled, smiling up at her.

Meredith frowned a little as she listened to him speak but nodded at his reassurances that he wouldn't leave her, snuggling further into his arms as her own tightened around him. "No one's ever liked me but you... I suppose it's not surprising that no one from your home will like me either." She murmured softly before rolling to bury her face in his chest, breathing in his scent with a little sigh. "Do I have to really wait four days?" She asked softly, casting a glance up at him.

Emberly looked around as snow flakes started to swirl around her and she giggled her eyes lighting up at the sight of the opposite but just as impressive magic. She looked back at Jasper her eyes searching his. He had said it again in such a matter of fact that he loved her. He questioned if he would be king and how to rule his people as well as how to get her to see the bright side of her new life but never once was there even a brief doubt that he loved her. She traced the lines in his palm. "You didn't answer my question though Jasper." she didn't look up at him half worried about his answer to this question. "What did you expect me to be as a Fae?" she asked him and then looked up at him watching as he searched her face. What had he imagined her to be like? What she didn't know was that fire was a rather rare magical occurrence in their realm. Emberly had tons of questions about being a fae, the magic, the life style, the flying yes all the things ever little child dreams of, she wanted to know it all.

"Meredith it won't be that they won't like it, hell they don't know you. It is a problem with them and their ability to change not anything wrong with you." Leo said and kissed her head. She asked again if she had to wait and he smiled. "Yes you must. I have much to do to make sure everything is ready for you, not to mention you will need new cloths made and tours set up for you and then I am still trying to politically prepare the way so you won't have to deal with everything Jasper's pour love is." he said and smiled at her. "If it was not necessary I would not make you wait but it is." he said and cupped her cheek. He looked up at the moon. It was nearly an hour left and he felt sadness gripping him. He leaned his forehead to hers and then pressed in his lips brushing hers in a whisper of a kiss testing before the taste of her pulled at his soul making him want her more. Leo pressed another mind numbing kiss to her lips and suddenly was not sure his body would be able to stand being away from her.

Jasper's eyes lit up as she giggled, smiling as her fingers moved over his palm. "Well, for starters, I never expected you to have magic, let alone fire magic. Those from high bred families like to keep them that way, and turning a human into a Fae is very rare. The families can possess great talents and magic if they're gifted with them, but it's rare for anyone to possess fire magic. And it's humans turned Fae often don't possess magic, even though they're a rare bunch. But if they do possess magic, then it's always very, very powerful." He explained, gently reaching up to brush a few snowflakes from her eyelashes. "But I expected you to be the same girl you were in the village, only happy.. I hated seeing you suffer all these years, Emberly, but I knew if I could just get you here, everything would be alright in the end."

Meredith nodded as she listened, looking up at him as he gazed up at the moon, a small frown forming on her lips as he looked so sad. She knew it meant that he'd have to leave soon, and was about to ask if he needed to get going when he pressed his forehead to hers and gave her the most tender kiss she'd ever received, which she happily returned. But then he was kissing her in a way that left her breathless, and she truly wasnt sure how she'd able to survive being away from him.

Emberly was surprised to hear that it was fare for human Fae to have magic at all let a lone Fire magic. She bit her lip. "Is fire magic... considered dangerous then?" she asked wondering if people would look down at her for having fire magic. After all they lived in a tree. Jasper reached up and she closed her eyes as he pushed the snow flakes away. She looked back at him as his hope was that she would be happy. Emberly looked down at him. She hadn't really payed attention in year to her suffering. She had just come to believe that was how it would always be for her. She set his hand down and bit her lip. "Do you have any other big secrete surprises for me?" she asked him not wanting to get mad again over anything he might be hiding.

Leo pulled back his breath coming out in pants and moving his hand from the teasing rub over her sides back to the grass. He pressed his lips to her forehead. "My sweet Meredith." he said softly. Soon he would not be cursing the night sky for moving, or maybe he would he did not know but surely never as much as he was now. The impending distance made his curses of even the passing of the moonbeam strong. Leo had never felt like this before and knew he never would again. Meredith was all that the world held for him, no one else would bring him the same desire like she did.

Jasper looked up at her as she spoke about fire magic being considered bad, shaking his head quickly. "No. While it can be dangerous if you do not train and learn to control your magic properly, it's not considered a bag magic. Most consider it a blessing." He explained, squeezing her hands as he stood, laughing a little when she asked if he had anymore surprises. "No, none that I can think of. If anything surprises you from now on, odds are it will surprise me too."

Meredith blushed brightly as she looked up at him, panting and looking a bit disheveled from where she'd gripped his shirt and ran her fingers through his hair. She closed her eyes as he murmured her name and kissed her forehead, gripping his shirt again. "Please... If there's any way for me to be with you sooner than four days.. I don't know how I'll survive without you." She whispered softly, knowing he must feel the same.

Emberly bit her lip wondering how fire could be a blessing but she would wait to ask that. At least for now she knew it didn't make her bad just more special than before. Emberly smiled as he laughed. She liked the sound of it. She smiled as he said there was nothing else. She sighed and nodded relaxing. At least she would have no reason to be that angry again anytime soon. Jasper seemed like he was getting ready to leave and it saddened her but she knew it was getting late and she should let him go and rest. "What do you do when you are not with me? Do you have duties as a prince to attend to?" she asked him curiously.

Leo smiled and smoothed her hair back. "I am sorry my sweetheart I can not get you any sooner than four days. I can not rush this process." he said and kissed her hands gently. "I can try to come see you in a couple days again though." he said and cupped her cheek stroking it gently. "Remember a lantern for emergencies only but of nothing comes up I will be back in two days to see you again for a little while." he said.
