"Yes, I think that is an excellent idea, Daniel." Giselle said with a little giggle. She was excited to be out and about. "So which tavern will you be bringing me to?"

Daniel smiled softly, "someplace simple, not to many guards, and no troublemakers," he said lightly. He continued to led her though the city coming up to a middle of the line drinking hole. "Don't expect perfect manners in here, Giselle, these are hard working people," he said lightly. He looked at her, "and don't be too polite yourself either," he added

Giselle took in a breath and her eyes fluttered a bit as she listened to Daniel's words. "Okay, I think I can handle that." She responded as she took a small step into his side to be a little closer. When they arrived at the tavern, she glanced up at the sigh before looking back at Daniel. "The Steel Cat?" She said, her head tilting slightly.

Daniel smiled and nodded, "yeah, you'll see why once we head inside," he said softly. He led her into the tavern, and found their way to a table. He smiled gently, and pointed towards the bar, which had a small steel statue of a cat. He looked at her, "some say he dipped his cat in molten steel when it died," he teased softly.

Giselle sat down at the table, crossing her ankles as usual. Though as Daniel started talking about the cat, Giselle looked taken aback. Her eyes widen a bit and she looked at the steel status for a long moment. The woman then leaned in and whispered to Daniel. "Is that true?" She asked, her eyes filled with both worry and curiousity.

Daniel smiled softly at her, "I don't think so, if you look at it close enough there's a statue maker's mark," he said softly. He looked up as a waitress came over, he ordered two drinks. He looked at Giselle, "relax, and just enjoy the change of scenery," he said softly

Once he pointed out that there was a maker's mark on the statue, Giselle let out a laugh of relief. "Well that is good." She remained quiet as Daniel ordered for them. Giselle didn't want to accidentally order something strange. Though once the waitress left, she looked back at Daniel with a smile. "Okay, okay. I think I can get through this just fine, thank you very much."

Daniel nodded lightly, "you are doing fine, why do you want to come out to these places anyway?" he asked curious. He sat back watching the patrons, and trying to keep ahead of any potential trouble.

Giselle looked at him curiously for a moment before she leaned in closer and whispered. "Would you not be interested in learning more about your people if you were to rule one day?" She asked him before continuing on. "Nor do I care for being stuck in the palace all the time either."

Daniel nodded, "yeah I suppose I would, and being stuck in one place can get pretty boring," he said lightly. He smiled as their drinks were brought over, and began to sip at his.

Picking up her drink gracefully, Giselle took a sip. Her noise crinkled up, not quite enjoying the taste. Even so, she took another sip before setting it back down. "It does get boring despite everything."

Daniel smirked seeing her crinkle up her noise, "out here, we don't get the best wines in the kingdom, we drink ale," he commented. He looked around the room, "it does the trick, to numb the day," he added.

"Why do you need to numb your day?" Giselle asked before taking another sip. It was not enjoyable but she would finish the glass before she left. After all, it would be rather rude not to in the first place. Plus she was here to understand her people better.

Daniel looked at her, "well for some people, the days are hard, and they suffer alot, a cheap remedy to that, for them is ale," he said lightly. He took her hand, "every kingdom has some degree of it though, everyone has thier own problems, that no one cam help them with," he said.

Her eyes shifted down to their hands for a moment. Though she turned her hand and lightly held onto his. "Though if there was a way to relieve some of their suffering, would it not be worth it?" She whispered to him before her eyes started to shift around the tavern again. "But when you say that, I can't help but think that most here seem so joyful."

Daniel sat and thought for a moment, "I suppose it's worth thinking about, but I wouldn't expect to be able to give everyone what they want," he said lightly. He lent in, "you would bankrupt the kingdom trying," he said

"Well of course not." Giselle told him with a light laugh. "That would be foolish but if there is a reasonable way to improve lives then it is worth looking into." Her eyes lightened up for a moment. "Though you are the one making it sound like everyone is miserable and that simply won't do."

Daniel smiled softly and looked her over, "I suppose things could be worse, they could have a king that is cruel," he said softly.

Giselle glanced over at Daniel, looking him up and down for a moment before sitting up a bit straighter. "Well certainly they do not."

Daniel nodded, "I agree, or I wouldn't have accepted the job," he said lightly. He sipped his drink, "shall we head out find another place?" he asked her.
