Leaning down, Henry placed a kiss to her forehead, his hand running up through her hair, wafting her scent all around him. "I'm sorry, sweetie, I really am. There was nothing I could do. But, we still have each other, right? You still have daddy." He pulled away, though his hand ran down from her hair to cup her cheek. "I'll get you something to drink in case you get thirsty in the middle of the night, okay?" Getting back to his feet, Henry left her alone in her new room for the first time. Entering the kitchen, he made her a sippy cup of ice water, to help in case her temperature spiked in the night.

Coming back into her room, Henry plugged in the little night light that sat on her dresser. It projected dim shadows of stars and planets across the walls. "Here, omega. And I'll have my door open just in case you need anything." Her heat was making her scent so intense, Henry almost didn't want to leave her. His mouth was watering again and he could practically feel the warmth melting off of her. Reaching out to hand her the sippy cup, Henry licked his bottom lip, wondering if she'd prefer his company. "Or do you want me to stay, little one? Comfort you?"

Sadie's brows pulled together as Henry sat on the edge of her bed and he started talking about how her mom didn't know that she was in the basement. Her stomach churned as dread filled her, tears welling in her eyes. Her mom hadn't known she was in the basement the whole time? Then.. oh. Sadie's face crumbled as she hung her head, screwing her eyes shut. She wanted to cry, she did, but with Henry sitting right beside her, it felt like a threat that looms over her. That she couldn't quite shake, no matter how much she might have wanted to.

Her breath was caught in the back of her throat as she worried at her bottom lip. "Y-Yeah," Sadie forced the word from her mouth, nodding as she pressed herself deeper into the blankets that surrounded her. "We do," her voice came out shaky but she could tell just how on edge it had put Henry when she asked the question to begin with. If Sadie pushed her luck... well, she knew where that usually landed her.

When Henry returned to her room, Sadie had buried her face into the pillows beneath her head. Her body shook, tears streaming down her cheeks as Henry spoke. She could only shrug her shoulder, not having a single damn idea of what she wanted at the moment. All she could think of was the fact that she had lost her mother and she hadn't even got to say bye properly. If she had just committed to being a proper omega... would that have been so bad? Then she would still have her mother.

Henry had gotten all the way to her door before Sadie realized what she wanted. She let out a small, broken sob as she pushed herself into the side of the bed that was against the wall, sniffling as she lifted her head up just long enough to speak. "D-Don't.. don't go," she whined, trying to make as much room in the bed for him that she could

Henry was willing to give Sadie space tonight. The option to sleep alone in her room, all by herself. It was impossible for him to even begin to imagine how she felt, because all Henry had wanted was her mother gone from the picture. He was ecstatic, over the moon that it was just now just the two of them. Just like he had always wanted it to be. Just daddy and his little girl. Her mother always got in the way of everything he wanted and she hadn't even done the one thing a good omega mother was supposed to do. Pass that knowledge down to their omega pups. She couldn't even do that, she was a pathetic excuse for an omega. Henry would make sure that Sadie did better.

Dragging his feet across the room, Henry raised his hand to grab at the door frame, lingering in the way before Sadie spoke up. Hearing her little voice crack and beg for him, admitting that she wanted him to stay, it warmed his heart. He was almost worried that his guilt trip wouldn't work, that Sadie would be a bit too smart and realize he was lying. That, or that her mother had 'killed' herself over what he had done, rather than what she had wanted to do. But it seemed to have worked, Sadie wasn't trying to shove him away. That was a good sign.

"Of course, baby," Henry turned around, his voice quiet as he made his way back over to her bed. Sadie did her best to scoot back, making room in the crib for him to join her. Toeing his shoes off first, he pushed them off to the side with his foot. "Just gonna get comfortable, okay?" His hands dropped to the button on his jeans, tugging his belt from around his waist before shoving his pants down his legs. He let them stay in a crumpled pile on the floor, his hands already working down the buttons of his shirt. Only leaving his boxers, Henry crawled into her bed on his knees, lowering himself down into the plushy comforters and pillows. "Come here, sweetie," he whispered, opening his arms for her to come hide herself away into. Stroking his hands down her back, Henry helped her relax against his chest, a deep purr rumbling from in his chest. Something to help lull her to sleep.

At some point in the early hours of the morning, Henry had untangled himself from Sadie and deserted her bed. Making sure to tuck her back in, he left her there sleeping and headed to the kitchen for his own drink before retiring to his own room. Though he made sure to lock the door to her room upon leaving. Still unable to fully trust her. He had slept with her for a few hours, and he hadn't been uncomfortable. He just wanted to be able to fully stretch out after driving for so long.

Relaxing back in his own bed, Henry fell back asleep and didn't wake up until half past twelve. His back was stiff and his head was a bit light, but his first concern was Sadie. Still in heat and she'd been locked away in her room. It must've been frightening, that she fell asleep in his arms and woke up with him just vanished, locked away like a prisoner once more.

"Omega?" Henry called down the hall, rubbing the sleep from his eyes before unlocking her door. "Are you awake, little one?" Henry turned the night light off, his hand then reaching for the light switch. Sadie had shoved most of the blankets away from herself and was curled up in a tight ball, but once Henry approached the bed, he realized why she seemed so embarrassed, trying to hide her face away from him. There was a wet patch on the bed revealing that she must've had a little accident sometime after he left. "Oh, sweetie, here, it's okay, I'm not mad..."

Sadie had burst awake in the early hours of the morning, sometime shortly after the sun had started to come up. The immediate thought Henry was gone. Where had he gone? Was he leaving her because he had lost her mom, because of all of this? Sadie had nearly cried herself asleep all over again. The reality that her mother wasn't here with her anymore and she was never going to see her again. How had it happened? Was her mom at least at peace now? Sadie was so hopeful that that was the truth because thinking about her mom being in pain for eternity only made the situation that much worse for Sadie.

All too quickly, Sadie realized that she had to go to the bathroom. She had started whining and rocking her hips back and forth, wanting to call out to Henry but he had never come to her before so she was almost positive that he wouldn't come this time. Sadie had climbed out of the bed and gotten half way across the room, intent on checking the door to see if she could go to the bathroom but she decided that Henry had probably locked her inside and retreated right back to her crib where she tried to distract herself, staring up at the mobile that hung above her.

Sadie couldn't hold it forever, releasing her bladder with a loud whimper. She squeezed her eyes shut and just willed herself to disappear. This was happening because she'd been a bad omega.. she should have listened. If she had just done what she had been told, none of this would have happened. She started pushing the blankets away from her, her cheeks flamed a deep red as she tried to ignore the wet spot where she had just been laying. Sadie couldn't even control her bladder, how had she wanted to go away to college on her own?

When Henry called out, stepping into the room, Sadie shrank away from him and buried her face into the space between the pillow and the mattress. She didn't answer him, her teeth gritted as he neared the bed. Please no. It just kept repeating in her mind, over and over. She didn't want Henry to see her accident, when she hadn't been able to control her.

"'m sorry," Sadie croaked, shaking her head when Henry acknowledged it. "I-I.. couldn't h-hold it.. 'm sorry," she apologized for a second time, refusing to look in his direction.
