Aeri wanted to argue, but didn't think it would work. Grant didn't seem like the type to take shit from someone. He wasn't one of her typical babysitters either, "whatever." She said, not liking the idea of it either. But what was she suppose to do, whine to a man who looked like he couldn't afford a tv. No she'd try and make the most of this. But she didn't how much of this she'd be able to take.

Grant watched her, "what kind of stuff do you think you'll need, or want, pretend you're going to be stuck here for at least a month," he said softly. He smiled gently, "seriously I want to make sure you don't go mental being stuck here," he said

"For a month?" She scoffed, wondering what the fuck this deranged man was thinking. "So help me god my father better not leave me here for a fucking month." She spoke to herself. She sighed before trying to think rationally. What could she possible do here for a month. "Clothing, bath supplies, famine items. Music." She told him, knowing that if she wanted to keep sane a listening to music was always something that would keep her grounded.

Grant nodded gently, "yeah, or longer, remember he has to make sure there is no more threat to him, even within the family," he said softly. He nodded, "that sounds reasonable, and fairly do able," he commented. He looked back out the window, "don't worry, there is plenty to do out here, if you get bored, always firewood to cut," he teased

Aeri looked at him when he suggested she cut fire wood. "Do I look like the type of person who cuts fire wood?" She asked him. Shifting she took a swig of her beer. The taste was horrid, but she could feel the warmth from the alcohol spreading through her body. "What else?" She asked, trying her best to be civilized. Knowing neither of them wanted to be here.

Grant chuckled, "I know, I was joking," he said lightly. He looked over her, "well like I said, there is sun bathing, there is even a hot tub around the back, or there is always hiking," he informed her.

Aeri perked up at the sound of a hot tub, "I guess it can't be helped." She sighed, "so how is this whole body guard things going to work?" She questioned him, clearly having walked into his home. She didn't know if he was going to be stuck by her side constantly, or if he was going to give her space. Like would she be able to sun bath with out him standing over her, or take a soak in the hot tub with out him there. These were things that she wanted answers to. And since no one knew where they were. She felt like she'd be able to get some sort of freedom.

Grant was happy when she seemed to perk up slightly, he heard her question, "well, there is only one way up this mountain, and one way down," he told her, "so we should get some warning before anyone shows up, if they are going too," he said. He shifted and stood up off the couch, "My one rule for you, while we are here on the mountain, tell me where you are going to be," he said. "That means, tell me if you are going to use the hot tub, and tell me when you going inside," he told her.

"Sounds fair," she said smiling at him, feeling excitement for this time here. She couldn't remember the last time she didn't have someone breathing down her neck. "What about hiking, I'm assuming that's something we'll be doing together?" She asked, knowing that she did work out, and since there wasn't a gym near by she'd have to stick to walk, or if she was lucky jogging.

Grant smiled, "yeah, at least to start with, If I can trust you, and believe you won't get lost, I might let you go on trails I've shown you without me, but you'll have to tell me when you will be coming back," he said softly. He walked to the kitchen and got himself another beer. "Next question, what sort of food and drink do I need to pick up, I assume you are not going to be a massive fan of beer and bbq all the time," he said.

She nodded liking the idea of getting to venture out unsupervised. "I'm not to picky as long as it not junk food, I do prefer a variety of food. Salads aren't the only thing I eat, though I like to counter balance. So if I want a hamburger for dinner I'll eat a salad for lunch." She explained, "and oat meal and granola, and yogurt for breakfast." She figured she'd be going shopping with him so it would just be easier for her to pick up the foods she liked.

Grant nodded, "okay that sounds reasonable, and doable," he told her. He came back to the couch and sat down with his beer. "So any other questions, about anything," he asked her. It had been so long since he'd had company, he didn't really know how to handle things.

Aeri shook her head, before downing the rest of her beer. "Not off the top of my head," she told him placing the can down on the table. "This is actually turning out better than my vacations." She chuckled softly. She knew she more than likely wouldn't think that everyday. But right now he was giving her things her father never did, trust, space and beer. Though if he knew her age he might not put a stop to it.

Grant chuckled, "even with all the gun fire earlier?" he asked softly. His eyes looked over her again, he sat forward and slid one of the phones on the table across the table, "keep that nearby all the time, the other phone's number is saved in it and if it rings pick up," he said lightly.

Aeri shook her head, "no I meant being here." She told him, "I can't remember the last time I slept with out someone standing guard at my door. Or when I'm sun bathing someone standing yards way." She sighed, "just the promise of time by myself, is better than any vacation." She chuckled. It sounded sad that she was complaining about it. But it was annoying. She couldn't go on dates or hang out with friends because they didn't like it. So it got old very fast.

Grant nodded, "yeah your dad was always a little over protective," he said lightly. He smiled gently at her, "Well I will always only be a few moments away, just incase something happens, but I won't be watching your every breath," he said lightly. He shifted on the couch, "because lets be honest, It's not the biggest cabin," he said gesturing around.

He stood up, and moved to the kitchen, "okay, how does slow bbq'd venison sound?" he asked.

"Tell me about it, after my mom died he became crazy protective though." She sighed, knowing that it'd been a touchy subject for her father. So she didn't get to often talk about her mother. "Size didn't matter, if they couldn't touch me they weren't close enough. I had to bribe them just for space." She watched as he walked to the kitchen, honestly liking just the chill environment. He'd asked question and actually listen to her, even if it was her whining. "Oh god that sounds amazing." She told him truthfully, knowing that she shouldn't as she'd eaten greasy chicken for lunch. Though she'd not eaten anything for breakfast, she could spoil herself tonight after the hell she'd been through. "Need any help?" She asked, knowing nothing about the kitchen. But she wanted to do something.

Grant nodded, "well, I hope you won't feel the need to bribe me, or expect it to work," he said lightly. He turned back to her, "ah yeah I suppose, could you organise a salad to have with it?" he asked lightly. He had to head outside to sort out the bbq. Grant was a huge carnivore, but that was more to do with what he had the best availability to, than anything else.

Letting out a dry laugh Aeri followed him, wanting to take a bit of a look around while continuing their talk. "And what would I bride you with?" She questioned raising a brow at him. She knew it wouldn't take to long to put together a salad, and that was something she could do. She walked around looking at the place she'd been calling home. She'd defiantly would need to get some boots instead of tennis shoes.

Grant shrugged, "no idea, but just know it wouldn't work," he said softly. He was surprised to see her following him, "I suppose I should give you a tour," he said lightly. He then proceeded to led her around the cabin, showing her where everything was. He made his way to his smoke store, "this is where I hang all of my meat, hope you aren't squeamish," he said softly
