"I guess you are," Lance agreed with a bit of a smirk. "I am sure that I am a lot hotter than the imaginary cute guy at the gym though." He teased her, knowing damn well that there was no cute guy at the gym. They never had an issue with telling each other about their dating lives. Lance was always curious about Evelyn... "I guess," Evelyn murmured quietly as she wrinkled her nose slightly. She was relieved to not have to run into one. Most likely, but the idea in itself is interesting. "And the trail is either 5 miles or 8 depending on which path we take. Though shouldn't take us too long either way. "I am sure that we will see something. After all, we are in the middle of the woods." As he said this, the man started to scan along the area. "Maybe we'll get lucky and see a fox. That would be neat."

A small defeated sigh left Evelyn's lips. She gave up, she kept bringing the party up to try and get a rise out of Lance and it wasn't fair. She knew he was at practice, it's not his fault. "Hopefully we're on one of the trails leading to something cool at the end and it doesn't just loop around."

As they walked, Evelyn pursed her lips. Looking around quietly as Lance spoke of how cool it'd be if they saw a fox. "Yeah, that'd be cool. Or a deer. That would be cool as well." Evelyn murmured, her eyes looking around as they walked. "I hope we don't get lost, I suck at directions."

"You don't have to attend my games, Eve." Lance said gently. He knew how she felt about sports. It wasn't her thing and he didn't see the point in his friend coming to something that would bore her. A small smile slowly appeared upon Evelyn's lips as she listened to Lance. It was sweet of him to be so understanding of things. It was a rare thing for him, but when it happaned Evelyn loved it. Although, she just couldn't help the small teasing bit that she wanted to do. "You also don't want me to check out your teammates though," Evelyn mumbled and faked a dramatic sigh. "So much for my reason for seeing Damen with his shirt off during practices."

"Don't be such a scardy cat. If we walk in the dark, I'm running ahead with the phones so you can't use the flashlights!" "Well I definitely don't want the others to notice you drooling over everyone else on the team but me." Lance said with a laugh. "It might make people suspicious. And who wants to deal with rumors of one of us cheating this early in our fake relationship?" He hugged her even tighter to him than before, squishing the young woman a bit. A small grin slowly appeared upon Evelyn's lips as Lance agreed to go towards the waterfall. Turning back towards him, Evelyn gave Lance a small mock salute and started to head towards the trail. "I didn't know there were waterfalls in this part of the country," Evelyn said as she walked with Lance through the forest. Pushing away a couple of branches as she moved, holding some of the longer ones until Lance passed them so that he didn't get smacked by them. "Then again, I've never gone this far out on a hike either."

Moving through the underbrush, the smooth trail that they had been on only moments ago changed to a less maintained one. "Maybe klutz shouldn't go this way," Evelyn murmured quietly, glancing back at Lance only to see him walking fine. The damn sports giant was too good with his coordination. After a little while, the duo finally reached a small clearing that opened up to a nice little sandy sort of stream. To their left was a small waterfall, it wasn't anything to blow their minds, but it was beautiful to look at. Standing about twelve feet high, a small trickle of water came down from the ledge. "Woah," Evelyn murmured quietly as she took in the sight before her. The moss on the rocks of the waterfall. The way the water moved down the fall and splattered in the water below. "This is beautiful. It looks nicer than the ones we see in books or paintings." That sounded extremely conceited and shallow, but Evelyn honestly had nothing to compare it to. She lived a life of luxury and her parents as well as most of her friends refused to step foot into the forest.

Removing her jacket, Evelyn folded it and set it on a nearby rock. Then she took her shoes and socks off before walking towards the water. Dipping her feet in, Evelyn grinned before looking back towards Lance. "It's nice and cool."

As they come up to the waterfall, Lance looked over it with widen eyes. He had never seen something so hidden and serene like the area before him now. He had seen waterfalls before, of course, but none like this. It was smaller than the ones he came across but it had an almost magical air to it. This was the type of place that someone would go if they wanted to relax. A soft smile came over his face. Perhaps this was a place that Lance could go to from time to time.

His eyes shifted over to Evelyn as she headed over to the water. It took the man a moment but he eventually followed her. Doing the same as she had done before, taking off his socks and shoes to move his water it. The water was cool but not cold. It was just refreshing. "We'll have to remember this place, Evelyn. Without waiting for a response, Lance was already pulling his shirt off over his head and throwing it onto a larger rock nearby. "Just for a couple of minutes... Hell, maybe a bit longer than that." The man chuckled. "We can just skip the rest of the hike and hang out here." As he said that, he worked on getting his pants and boxers off, throwing it over to the rock as well. So when she disappeared into the woods to get dressed, Lance got out of the pond himself and headed over to his own clothes. He shook the water out of his hair before pulling on everything. Then he sat down on the rock and took in a deep breath. Well, there was nothing he could do now besides wait for Evelyn to come back. And if she seemed upset with him, Lance would know. He was pretty sure after many many years, he knew her like the back of his hand.

When Evelyn came back, Lance smiled sheepishly over at her. "Yeah, I do. Coach will kill me if I am not there." With that, Lance got onto his feet and headed over to Evelyn, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her in close. He figured that if he continued on like normal, Evelyn would as well. And, it seemed to him, that she wasn't upset about his little mistake. "Should I drive you home then or back to the school or somewhere else?" He asked as he started to lead her back towards the trail. "I know your car is at the school but if you just want to go home, I can pick you up before class tomorrow?"

Acting on instinct, Evelyn wrapped an arm around Lance as well and leaned into his side. Her head resting against him as well as they started to walk. She let out a small hum as Lance spoke. Her attention on him even though she stared ahead. Watching the path as they headed back to the trail. She smiled a little bit as Lance had to duck under some branches, while she was so short that she could just walk under them. "We can head back to school. I have a nail appointment today at six. I really don't want to explain to my mom why I don't have my car." Evelyn said quietly, glancing up at Lance as she spoke and then looked ahead once more. Doing her best to play it cool.

The next day, Evelyn leaned against her closed locker. A couple of her closest girlfriends stood near her, Anna and Lily. The two were gushing about how cute Evelyn's nails were as they looked at what she had done to them. A simple manicure and a really nicely done paint job. Evelyn usually picked darker colors to have painted onto her nails, but her mother talked her into trying something lighter. Saying she was becoming an adult and was engaged. She didn't need to try and rebel anymore, it was time to grow up and blah blah blah. Evelyn hated the idea at first, but she actually really liked the outcome. "I know, I'm pleased with how they came out," Evelyn said as she looked once more down at her nails. Taking in the bright colors and how nicely they went together. "Ah, I need to get my nails done now. I want to do something similar to you, Eve." Lily said, gushing over her nails still.

As the girls gushed over Evelyn's nails, they didn't notice a new face joining them. "What's today's topic?" A deep voice said as an arm wrap around Lily and Anna's shoulders. Glancing up, Evelyn did her best to fake a smile as she spotted Justin Randall, one of the biggest douche bags at the school. The guy was a druggy as well, always looking for his next hit. Rather it is a drug or a girl to use to spend his useless hours. People say that Justin's part of some sort of illegal crime circle, Evelyn wasn't sure about that but he always did seem to be hanging out with some shady looking guys when she does see him around town.

"We were just talking about Evelyn's nails," Lily said as she brushed off Justin's arm like it was infected with a disease and made a face as she brushed off her shoulder. "Ah, cool. Fun stuff." Justin murmured as he winked at Anna, who rolled her eyes and brushed his arm off next. Then looking back towards Evelyn, Justin grinned. "So Eve, party at my place this weekend. Want to join?" Justin asked, not being suddle as he ran his eyes along her figure as he checked her out. "Uh, we'll see. I might be busy." Evelyn murmured quietly, her eyes quickly looking away to see if she could find Lance to help with this pervert. "Ah come on, your boo doesn't have to know. Fuck, he could come if he wants to."
