Seonghwa just laid down beside her, looking up at her. She was kind of intimidating when she was angry but it was also kind of hot. Suddenly, he picked up on something though and stood up, letting out a low growl as he stared at the wooded area in front of where they were sitting.

Soyeon looked at him, wondering why he was growling. When she saw him looking towards the wooded area, she looked over and saw a few other wolves approaching them and they looked pissed.

Seonghwa stayed in front of Soyeon, in a way to protect her, in case she didn’t have time to change again. He was almost certain these wolves were either from Soyeon’s clan or another clan, but he couldn’t tell for sure.

"What are you doing?" She asked trying to get in front of him. "I don't need protection. I can handle myself." Soyeon growled.

The other wolves were now surrounding Soyeon and Seonghwa, growling at the male wolf. "Who the fuck do you think you are coming to our land, getting cozy with my future wife." The wolf with all black fur said, approaching Seonghwa. Soyeon recognized his voice and growled. "I'm not your future wife, Yongguk."

Seonghwa growled but didn’t back down. “It’s a free country, Yongguk. I was passing by and noticed Soyeon and then picked up on your scent and stuck around to make sure there wouldn’t be trouble.” Seonghwa said.

"There wouldn't be any trouble if you had minded your business and stayed away from our land and my mate." Yongguk growled now standing directly right in front of him.

"You're not my mate, Yongguk! I would never want to be with you." Soyeon pushed past Seonghwa, getting in front of Yongguk, glaring at him, "You're just a controlling asshole who just wants to wear the Alpha title." She said to him, but next thing she knew, she was on the ground, holding her cheek from him backhanding her.

Seonghwa growled as he shoved Yongguk to the ground. “Don’t lay your hand on her!” He growled out. “You claim you want her to be your future wife but then you lay your hands on her, what the fuck is wrong with you?!” He growled.

"The bitch needs to be put in her place and learn when to submit." Yongguk snarled and pushed the wolf off of him before pinning him to the ground. "You act like she's your mate" Yongguk growled, his paw pressed against Seonghwa's throat.

“She is my mate, as a matter of fact.” Seonghwa growled before pushing Yongguk off of him and pinning him instead. “And unlike you and the rest of these male wolves, I am not looking for the power of having an alpha title. I could care less about it but since she is my mate, you are going to respect her as such.” Seonghwa growled.

"You're an outsider. She's not going to want you. Besides she'll get respect when she earns it. But she's keeps running that disrespectful mouth of hers. Someone needs to teach that bitch not to talk to her alpha any kind of way." Yongguk growled and kicked Seonghwa off of him.

"Shut up! I'm right here! Talk to me, not about me." Soyeon yelled then she looked at Yongguk. "I'm only disrespectful to wolves like you who think they can control me and tear me down. You don't control me. No one does. And you're not the alpha. My father is."

Seonghwa growled as he watched.

“Come on Yongguk, let’s just leave her alone.” One of the other wolves said, as they started heading for the clearing.

Yongguk snarled at Seonghwa before looking at Soyeon, gripping her chin. "I'll let you talking back to me slide this time. Next time I won't be so nice." He warned her before letting go of her and left with his group of wolves.

"Fucking bastard." She muttered to herself. She hated Yongguk so much, but her parents loved him, and he took any opportunity to use that against her.

Seonghwa looked at her, “are you okay?” He asked her. Which was probably a stupid question but he couldn’t help but be concerned.

Soyeon wanted to give him a snarky answer and with a nasty glare, but decided against it. "No, not really." She said softly, before splashing water on her face where Yongguk scratched her face from hitting her.

Seonghwa changed back into his human form and pulled his pants back on before going to sit by her. “I’m sorry...I wasn’t stalking you or anything, I was hunting and I picked up on your scent, and I was going to leave when you realized I was there but then they showed up.”

"Hunting? On our land?" She looked at him suspiciously. "I know about your pack. Your land is not even close to here." But then sighed. "I've should've know that they were following me."

Seonghwa ignored the first part. “I know you’re independent and not really into that mate bullshit...I am the same way, but I know we are mates.” He said and stood up. “But I also want you to know, I would still let you have your independence and not treat you like a bitch or anything, just because you were my mate.” He said as he started walking towards the clearing. “Be safe on your way back.” He said.

Soyeon sighed. She could tell he wasn't like Yongguk or the other make wolves who tried to advantage of her. But she was still skeptical and She looked over at him and nodded. "Thanks. You too." She said softly.

Seonghwa sighed as he left the woods and headed back home to his apartment. When he got there, he went to take a shower before sitting down and calling Yeosang.

Yeosang answered the phone when he saw it ringing. "Seonghwa?" He said m, turning down the TV.
