Seonghwa sighed and hung up after saying goodbye to Yeosang. He didn’t think he could make the situation worse, or at least hoped he didn’t.

“Well, maybe that will teach Yongguk and them to back the hell off from you.” Jay said. “I mean, think about it, Soyeon, your parents might actually like this Seonghwa guy. Not only would he be the alpha for his own clan, but he would be the alpha for our clan. Plus he seems like a good dude who isn’t just trying to abuse the alpha title.” Jay said.

"But that's the thing, it won't. Yongguk is going to keep harassing me until I give in. Which I'm not going to give in." She sighed and poured herself another glass full of tequila and threw it back again. "Fuck!" She muttered feeling the burn again. "Appearance doesn't always show their true intentions, Jay. I don't care if my parents like him or not. It's not like they consider my feelings or what I want." She said her head now hung and her fingers raking through her hair.

“Maybe you should give him a chance, though, Soyeon.” Jay said as he got himself a shot glass and poured some whiskey into it.

"And why is that Jay? Why do you like him? I thought you were on my side?" She said sadly and poured herself another glass of tequila. She stared at the glass for a moment before downing it again.

“He seems like a nice guy, Soyeon.” Jay shrugged as he downed his whiskey before pouring some more.

Soyeon sighed and shook her head. "I wish he didn't come to the club last night. I hate feeling so conflicted over some mutt." She growled, before putting the glass back down and grabbing her jacket and keys, getting ready to leave.

Jay sighed. “Just give it a chance!” He called after Soyeon as she left his house. He sighed before pinching the bridge of his nose.

Soyeon got into her car and started it, but stayed put. She went to hit the steering wheel, hitting the horn. She let out a sob, feeling so conflicted. Soon tears kept rolling down her face and at that moment she felt vulnerable which something she never lets herself feel, not wanting to seem weak.

Jay felt bad for his best friend but he was really hoping she would listen to him and give Seonghwa a chance. The guy seemed like a good dude from what he saw.

Once Soyeon finally calmed down, she put her car in reverse and drove off, wanting to find a place to be alone but not wanting to go to her apartment.

Soyeon’s parents had heard about what happened out in the woods and decided to pay Jay a visit, thinking Soyeon was there. They got out of their car and knocked on Jay’s door.

Jay sighed when he heard the knock on his door. He opened it and saw Soyeon's parents. And immediately he cursed at himself mentally. "Hey Alpha and Lady Kim. What brings you by?"

“We were looking for Soyeon. We heard about what happened at the clearing with Yongguk and Park Seonghwa.” Soyeon’s mom said.

Jay sighed and nodded. "She did come by here and was very upset. But she left maybe an hour and half ago." He said.

“I see,” the alpha said, “and what do you know about the situation with Yongguk and Park Seonghwa?” He asked Jay.

"I just know that she was with Seonghwa and I guess Yongguk saw and approached them. And I guess it went downhill from there." He said, not giving them too much detail, not sure how much they know and because he didn't want Soyeon to get mad at him.

"I'm sure that Yongguk protected my daughter." Lady Kim said. She didn't think Yongguk could do no wrong.

“Yes, he probably did. We just became friends with the Park clan again but this Park Seonghwa seems to be causing trouble already.” The alpha said. “Do you know if anything else happened, Jay?”

Jay couldn't believe that Soyeon's parents were talking highly about Yongguk when he was an asshole, especially towards Soyeon. He wanted to tell them that Seonghwa was her mate, but knew it wasn't his place to do so. So he shook his head. "No, but if you do find her, maybe she will tell you exactly what happened." He said.

“Thank you, Jay.” Her parents said, bowing as they said goodbye, before going back to their car. Her mother pulled her phone out to call Soyeon.

Sorina was on the other side of the clearing, nearby the border of her clan's land and the Park clan's land. She didn't know why she chose this part but she was here in her wolf form, laying down in the grass. She heard her phone ring, letting out a small whimper before transforming into human form before grabbing it out of her pocket. She saw it was her mom, but instead of answering it, she ignored the call.
