Beomgyu was woken by Mia’s movements, frowning as he reached for her space beside him, only to find it empty. “Mia?” He called groggily, seeing darkness had fallen. “Are you okay?”

Alice stood up, the room spinning. “I — yeah, I’m awake..” Alice nodded.

“Yeah, I just had to pee..” Mia said as she walked back into the room. It was dark and she felt like the room was spinning but she made it back to the bed.

“Are you okay?” Kai asked as he watched her sway a bit. He stood up and helped steady her. “You don’t look too good, baby.”

Beomgyu nodded, barely able to see her in the low light, but seeing clearly that she was pale, taking unsteady steps as she climbed into bed. “Are you sure you’re okay? Are you hungry?” Beomgyu asked protectively, wrapping his arms around Mia with love.

Alice smiled softly as Kai helped steady her, but she exhaled, sitting on the edge of the bed again. “I’m okay. I just got a little warm.” She explained.

“I’m not hungry but if you have some chicken soup, I can try to eat a little.” Mia admitted as she leaned against him.

Kai nodded, “are you hungry? Can I get you anything?” He asked as he reached over to flip on his desk lamp.

Beomgyu leaned over to his touch lamp, tapping it once to bring on the dimmest setting. “Okay, chicken soup it is.” He nodded. “You stay here and keep warm, okay?” Beomgyu leaned to press a kiss to her forehead. “I’ll be back.”

Alice lay down again. “I’m not hungry, but if I really have to eat, I guess toast will do…”

Mia nodded and laid down on Beomgyu’s bed, wrapping the blanket around her as she got warm. “Thank you, oppa!” She called after him.

Kai nodded. “Okay, I’ll make you some toast and get you some fresh water.” He said as he kissed her cheek.

Beomgyu smiled in the kitchen as Mia’s words swam around his head. Perfecting the soup, Beomgyu carefully carried the tray upstairs, humming as he did. “Mia?” He murmured. “Food’s up, baby.”

Alice smiled softly. “Thank you, honey bunny!” She called after Kai, and as soon as he was out of sight, Alice closed her eyes, trying to kerb her illness.

Mia was trying to fall back to sleep but she kept feeling like she was going to puke and was in the bathroom again, just in case, whenever Beomgyu came back.

Kai smiled and got Alice’s toast ready and some fresh water. He took it back upstairs. “Alice, foods ready!” He called as he opened his door.

Beomgyu frowned as he noticed that Mia wasn’t laying in his bed, and placing the tray on the bedside table, he called her name again, thinking that the bathroom would be where she was. “Sweetheart?” He frowned, seeing her kneeling down and pale. “Baby….” Beomgyu frowned. “We need to get you to a Doctor.”

Alice sat on top of the closed toilet seat, pushing her hair from her face. She felt hot and woozy, but was determined for Kai to not see her like this, not wanting to see a Doctor. Not answering Kai, Alice fanned herself with her hands.

“I’m fine, really.” Mia shook her head. She went to stand up but felt dizzy. She held onto the counter as she tried to balance herself.

Kai knocked on the bathroom door. “Baby?” He opened the door some. “Oh, sweetie. We need to take you to the doctors.” He frowned, seeing how bad she looked.

Beomgyu rushed forward. “Woah, woah, woah, slow down.” Beomgyu murmured, pulling Mia into his arms, into the warmth of his chest. Rubbing her back, Beomgyu frowned. “Please? For me? We won’t be long if we go to the hospital now.”

Alice looked to Kai. “I can’t, Kai, you know I hate hospitals.” She whimpered, her cheeks flushed. “Just… please, maybe we can just go to a chemist and get some medicine or something.”

“I-okay…but if they want to keep me overnight, I’m leaving.” Mia sighed as Beomgyu carried her back to his room so she could get her shoes on.

“I know baby, but you don’t look well…okay…what if we go to one of those fast clinics? Just to get a quick check up?” Kai asked.

Beomgyu nodded. “Deal.” Although he knew, if they asked her to stay overnight, he’d be able to convince her to stay. Grabbing his coat, Beomgyu waited for Mia. “C’mon.”

Alice sighed, but nodded, giving in to Kai’s sweetness. “Fine.” She murmured. “But I swear, Kai, no horrible stuff, okay?”

Beomgyu opened the door to the waiting room and allowed Mia in first. “Go and find a seat, baby.”

Mia went to sit down while Beomgyu went to talk to the receptionist, before coming back with the usual paperwork that Mia had to fill out.

Kai nodded and helped her get dressed before getting his shoes on and leaving with her.

Once they got to the fast clinic, Kai opened the door for her. “Go find a seat, I’ll go talk to the receptionist, okay?” He told her softly.

Beomgyu sat beside Mia, handing her the clipboard and pen and staying close to her side, resting his head on her shoulder as he watched her write. “How’re you feeling now?”

Alice nodded, nervously looking around before finding an empty seat, sitting down and watching a coughing child play with the toys provided with a small smile, finding them adorable.

“Still not feeling good…I hope they can tell me what’s wrong.” Mia said as she filled out her information and marked her symptoms, before asking Beomgyu to take the clipboard back to the receptionist.

Kai came back with the paperwork and handed it to Alice. “How are you feeling, baby?” He asked as he watched her fill out the paperwork.

Beomgyu took the clipboard back before returning loyally to Mia, wanting to be by her side, always. His parents always told him that teenage love would never last, but he loved Mia, so much. “Come here,” Beomgyu murmured, pulling Mia to him.

Alice sighed. “Still bad…” she murmured, marking her symptoms and answering the questions before handing her clipboard back to Kai. “Thank you, baby.”

Mia moved over so she could lean against Beomgyu. She sighed as she held onto him and about thirty minutes later, the nurse called them back.

“Of course.” Kai smiled as he sat down and wrapped an arm around her, holding her close. He was so worried about her and wouldn’t be able to think straight until he knew she was okay.

Beomgyu helped Mia up, leading her to the room where the nurse had called them from. Holding the door open for Mia, Beomgyu followed her in and shut the door behind him, bowing to the nurse. “Annyeong.”

Alice wrapped an arm around Kai’s middle, watching the kids play. “Look how cute they are.” Alice murmured softly, pausing as her name was called. Standing up, Alice approached the nurse nervously.

“Annyeong. Mia, how are you feeling?” The nurse asked. “Not too good.” Mia said and began explaining her symptoms. The nurse nodded and then went to the drawer, producing a cup. “We need you to do a urine sample, to rule out any pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases.” She said, handing Mia a cup.

“There’s a bathroom right across from here, just pee a little into the cup and there will be a little slot for you to put the cup in after you’re done and then you can come back here.” The nurse said.

Mia nodded before leaving the room to go to the restroom across from the hall.

“Annyeong.” The nurse said as she bowed. She began doing Alice’s vitals, “tell me when you started feeling bad and what your symptoms are now.” She saix
