I have so much trouble committing to a chaptered fic (unless it's a group or joint story) Facepalm I prefer the instant gratification of oneshots tehe But there are a ton of ideas I have that are better suited as chaptered fics, but I tend to get bored with them quickly.

It's so easy for me to write a 5-10k oneshot, but I practically have to push myself to flesh out a decent lengthed chapter that's not too rushed or too much monotonous filler.

Updating regularly. Writing OC's perfectly. Dialogue. I think I'm pretty okay when it comes to smut scenes, but I always second-guess myself... Making my characters realistic.

I'm super harsh on myself xD

Updating my stories in a regular and timely fashion. XD

    But I'm working on that.

I can start tons of stories like nobody's business, but then I leave them to rot in notebooks. Facepalm It takes me a few months to a few years to actually pick them up again and continue writing them. Shifty

    As of late, getting inspired.

Being confident enough in my ideas to keep working on them.

    Plotting.

Antagonists that aren't within the main characters themselves or someone very close to them.

Not planning enough beforehand. Facepalm That's why I haven't worked on a few stories of mine in ages because I get so far in and then realise it doesn't work/make sense/various other problems.

Getting the writing the flow right. I always have to go back and change up the sentence structures.

Another thing that I constantly worry about is if my characters sound all the same. I'm so anal about that I blatantly write in different styles in their point of view. When I read it over, it seems fine, but I still have this constant worry.

While I admire people that are able to write well in multiple fandoms, I'm not good at writing anything outside my given fandom, but I can't say that I feel limited or caged in by the fact. I've never been the "jack of all trades" type; I've always been better at focusing in on and mastering one thing, and I find it's the same with my writing.

I dabble in other fandoms from time to time, and though I always have an idea that I really like, I just don't feel as passionate about it. I'm great at crossovers, AU, crack pairings, all of that stuff, as long as there's something related to Big Time Rush in the mix XD I just feel like I really found my niche writing BTR fanfic, so any time I try to attempt writing something else, it feels completely foreign to me.

    Finishing anything. Facepalm

And sex scenes. I always feel as though they come out so cliched and horrible. Ugh.

Finishing stories. I can start a new story and stick to a story for a few chapters and if I'm lucky, I can plan up to twenty chapters for it. But I jump from one idea to the next one and I keep starting new ones and only do one or two chapters for it. But the good thing is I can eventually come back to my story ideas but I seriously need to stay with one story until the very end.

Writing dialogue how I would say things, or how conversations would go between me & friends. I do this all the time. Facepalm
Also, I've had someone tell me that some of the dialogue doesn't sound 'modern'. It's because I like to speak like an old man sometimes. Y'know, fancy & proper.
    That's probably weird. lmfao

    THE INTERNET.

If not for wireless internet on my laptop, I would have probably written three books by now.

In my own opinion one of them is the transition between dialog and narration. I write both decently but trying to switch back and forth is difficult, to me they seem disconnected at times. I'd like for it it flow more smoothly.

Okay , so I got some weaknesses here:

    Sometimes I switch tenses
I get too caught up with dialouge that I don't give enough description
I'm not that good at poetry
    Chapter length (too short)
An lastly, I'm not that good with putting writing "love" emotions...I guess it's just because I'm not in love.

Allot of my stories are very Dialogue driven, or at-least certain parts of them are. But I inevitably find myself writing Dialogue as though it where a script for a Play, since I HATE needing to write "___ says ___" or "And then _____ responds". Especially since I try not to sound repetitive, there are limited ways to express that.

Problem is, I don't think most readers are comfortable reading something that way. Isn't that part of why School Students complain about Shakespeare studies?

Description. Usually I don't include enough, but then I tend to over describe when I do want to describe them. And I'm not good at it since I generally just detail dump all over the place.
The Middle. Awesome beginning, great ending, just no idea how to connect the two.

Sticking to one tense of verb. I've had many of my teachers comment on that.

I find it really good to instil a sense of setting, which upsets me. I love it when I'm reading something and can say to myself 'that's so like [insert place name here]', but i can never really achieve that in my own stories, even though I know exactly where it's set.
