I update after I've finished a chapter; if that's the next day, great, if it's two weeks after the last one, great!

I think you should update whenever you feel you've written a good chapter.
Whether it takes you three days after your last update, or two months. You can't really put a deadline on inspiration.

I update whenever I finish a chapter, sometimes it can take me a couple of days, whereas I think Miasma and Kid took me sometimes two months to update. There's another story of mine, Fooling Around which I haven't updated since October last year. I have to be really set on the chapter to want to write it.

I personally would rather wait months for a terrific update, then have an update that seems rushed and forced.

I update whenever I write something, which isn't too often. It takes quite a long time actually. XD

I update everytime I manage to write something decent, but lately it's been quite hard to do so, for I've been lacking of any inspiration... I feel so bad for neglecting my story.

If I finish the chapters, then I update every week, but sometimes it takes me longer to finish a chapter so if I pass the one week I update it the second I finish it. A reader should wait if they want a good quality update, you can't force it =P

I try to update every two days, but it usually takes longer, so most of my stories end up not getting updated any more than twice a week or so.

I try to update once a week, if possible, maybe more often. But, what I do is write, proofread and edit then post and reread it on mibba.
I suppose whenever you can get around to writing it is the best time to update

I keep trying to update less. Grr
I jump the gun a lot. If I could, I'd post five chapters in one day, and get zero readers.
    XD

I don't like reading stories that are updating constantly, because I tend to lose track of chapters, especially with the sporadic emails I get from Mibba after I subscribe to a story. Sometimes I don't even get them.

I'm reading a story that's updated every wednesday, so I know that there's something great to look forward to every week. I try to do that, and I either procrastinate or get really impatient.

    -sigh-

I like stories that are updated at least once a week -- but no more than once every other day.

I update really sporadically. XD I posted four chapters in one day once, and then it was almost a week until I did the next one. lmfao

I tend to post them whenever I get them done. XD

    I update every week.

I'm able to do this, because I don't post stories on Mibba until they're a couple of chapters away from being finished. So, I finish the story while only the first two to five chapters are posted, then while I'm posting that story weekly, I have enough time to write my next one, with room for other work that needs to be done.

Also, I find updating weekly is good at the beginning, because people are more likely to give the story a go when they see one, two, maybe three chapters posted rather than fifty or sixty, and posting weekly widens that bracket for new readers to find it.

I used to be the kind of person who would update a single story every day, and occasionally multiple times in a day. I find that actually limits the amount of readers and comments you get. It's not that reason that I don't update the same story every day however, it's because they're too rushed. I actually unsubscribed to a story recently because the person updated every day. I didn't mean to be rude, but I kept falling behind because she'd post two updates in one day, and if I missed a day or two of checking to see if she had updated, there were like 14 new chapters!

I tried to make a schedule for when I updated, but I just can't stick to one. Then I changed to updating the stories in turn, and now I do update in turn, but if I write a new story then the story that I was going to update gets pushed back. It's not like I have a million new stories, but even a one-shot could push a different story update back. This little schedule of mine isn't posted anywhere, it's just in my head so that I remember to update.

So pretty much I update the story that has an update the longest time ago. I like writing pretty much every day, so it's nice for me to have a handful of active stories at a time. It keeps me so much more motivated on each story so I don't get bored with writing one. I currently have four active chaptered stories, but when I get my computer back from being repaired I'll be adding a fifth, so my stories should get updated once every five days. (Every now and then I'll post a chapter for two stories in one day. That's if I'm really bored and/or motivated.)

I like reading stories that are updated frequently, but no less than once a week. I can understand if you lost muse or are busy and can't get around to updating, but if I begin to forget your characters and plots by the time you update again, there's a chance I might just unsubscribe completely... providing you didn't write on your homepage the reason for the infrequent updates. Once a month is way too little for updates, but daily updates on a single story are a bit much.

So, I'm pretty much trying to say I update every day, but for a different story every day.

I'm guilty of long spreads of time, like 3 weeks to a month or more, for updating. XD
That was a while back and I haven't done that since. I don't really have any sort of schedule or set time to update. I update whenever possible, or whenever inspiration decides to strike me. I don't force myself to update because then I feel that whatever I typed up is complete shit. I did this with my completed story consisting of more than three chapters and I'm not as satisfied with it as I could be.
I've had to pull the plug on two of my stories because I had gone so long without updating that I lost the will to continue them. Sometimes I can't update frequently, especially when school starts, that's the reason I didn't update the two stories I had to cut. I know that once school starts I won't be able to update a whole lot, so I'll probably try to avoid starting any chaptered stories.

In the summer I normally update every sunday or monday sicne I'm usually stuck at my cabin all weekened so I have plenty of time to update.

In the winter though updates hardly ever come since I hardly have any inspiration and I'm really busy with school.
So it's whenever I find time to do something.

If it's a story that I'm really into at the moment, I can update twice a week, but usually I keep the updates to once a week.

On some stories, it takes me weeks, even months to get out an update because school gets in the way, writer's block, etc, but it's summertime, so I've been better with updates.

Overall, I don't feel like a person should update more than twice a week, three times max. It's just hard for the readers to keep up, at least I know it is for me.

We all have lives outside of writing, so it's a little frustrating to sit down and read a story that has like, five new chapters, and feel completely lost because you couldn't read for a couple days.

Well, The Trust has pretty good sized chapters, so I have to update about two weeks to a month, since it takes me a little bit to write the chapter, haha!

Hello, Disorder's updates aren't as frequent as they used to be. I used to update them every week.

And I updated Bergdorf and Barney’s every three days or so x]

My story has really long chapters, so it takes me a while to update. I update each time I write a good chapter. Which could be the next day or months down the road. tehe

I LIKE to update every week or so, but due to random things, it usually turns out a week and a half until I update. Or more. D:
