I personally don't believe that the devil is the route to all evil.
Like God isn't the path of pure devine light.

I don't believe that there is a god, or a devil, and I don't believe that following a book is the right way of life. But hey! That's just my opinion.

Almost all religions tell you what you can and can't beieve in. Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Sikhism (etc)

All these religions tell you, you must do this in and obey a god. If you don't or fall of that supposed true and amazing path, its the world of an evil being.

Spiritualism, doesn't tell you what to believe in. It doesn't tell you that you have to believe in god, you can belive in the devil or you can believe in the power of love and light. It doesn't matter. Blaming angsty spirits on the devil isn't exactly rocket science. People dont understand it, or why they are perhaps aggressive and blame the devil!

I firmly believe in spirit and the spirit world, because of what I experience. It doesn't mean its bad, good or indifferent. People should stop telling people how to believe in life.

Could this be a poltergeist? I just need an answer, because I'd like to know whether this entity is just trying to get my attention or if it has darker motives. I used to shrug it off, but now it's really starting to scare me.
Sounds like a poltergeist, but you never know, it could be like, a friggen demon or something. The part about seeing a dark shape sounds more demonic than anything ._. But, eh. What do I know, I'm just some creepy guy that lurks Mibba 24/7.

What you said made perfect sense now that I think about it, thanks for your input.

Just thought I'd share that whatever it is has been quiet for a few weeks now but last night was really bad.
Around 3 AM this morning I was woken up by something being thrown across the room, so I turned on the light and the TV remote and my shoes were on the other side of the room from where I put them before I went to sleep. I would blame this on my brother, but my door was closed and it creaks when you open it, and it always wakes me up if someone opens it. They were across the room, it's not like they just fell from someplace.
I tried ignoring it and went back to bed, didn't bother picking anything up, and then I heard a woman talking inside my room. Sounded like garbled English if anything. I called out "Please stop!" and it did, but then I heard a crash coming from somewhere else in the house.

I thought it was over for the most part, at least the poltergeist part, but it's back. Facepalm

Something is in my bathroom or something. It doesn't scare me, just questions my bravery.

I've just been touched only once, but I hear my name whispered, and I keep getting images in my head of something, but I can't figure it out. I also hear knocking from places my neighbors can't reach, and I heard a hello right in my ear one time that I was downstairs. I don't feel scared, just creeped out.

But I think my stuffed animal is possesed o.e

If you imagine a demon in your bathroom, your gonna get one.

Poltergeist is latin for noisy spirit, and sometimes spirit has to be "noisy" for us to realize that they are there. If, their prescence is unnerving you, ask them to leave. If you still feel they are hanging about, tell them to leave! Be as brutal as you have to, but be firm.

Why does everyone assume the worst? Demons, trapped souls etc. Just because it's a shadow, doesn't meant it's demon. It take's a while for the spirit energies to build up, they can't just show themselves like we see ourselves or each other. Spirit will never, ever hurt you.

First hand experiences. As I said, like attracts like.

If you imagine that there's these horrible little demon crawling acorss your walls, lurking in dark corners, that's what your going to attract and pretty much invite them in.

I have trust in who I work with and what I do, so I have no reason to believe otherwise.

There are evil forces out there though, which could hurt you. So you can't know that they won't.

We create our own demons. I'm not denying that there is darker entities out there, I'm just saying that it's not all black and white. I've came across a few rather nasty entities. But they cann't hurt you. You are in control.

    Agreed.

Well, mostly. I haven't encountered everything there is yet, so I can't know that nothing can harm me.

("Yet" was intended to be humorous.)

I once contacted a spirit through an ouija board which expressed a desire to murder my friend and myself. We tried to get rid of it, and the room suddenly seemed colder, and I could barely open my eyes. It was frightening. But eventually it did go away, and it didn't hurt us.

Oujia boards are very serious, yet messed up things. You have to know what you are doing, and then even knowing what you are doing, there is still that risk of losing control.

To me, ouija boards seem a lot like the spiritual equivalent to dodgy chatrooms. I find them funny.

i guess weird unexplained things have happened to me, too many to talk about, it started when i was about 11-12, but it happened a lot more when a met this girl called vicky who is now my best friend, we both believe in the same things, but both me and her have according to my dad extrodinary imaginations and can create a whole other world, and a lot of things we thought were happening to us could of just been both our imaginations put together there fore making us hear and see and feel things that were not actually there but in this amazing other world we had created in our minds. well thats what i thinkk on the matter. i do believe in ghosts, but sometimes when someone sees the ghost of a loved one, it could be the imagination because of your vivid memory of them and you miss them so your mind could make you think you see them because you miss them and you have memories of what they look feel and smell like. nobody really knows XD :)

It happened when I was 12, I was overseas, we were stayin at my Grandma's home. Everyone was down stairs getting ready for dinner and I had just hopped out of the shower. I was so tired and half asleep that evening and couldn't be bother to have a shower I just wanted to eat then go to bed, but my mum insisted I quickly shower. So the bathroom was down the end of a long hallway and as I walked out the bathroom door I remembered seeing a figure of an old man just sitting on a bed, staring at me, more smiling, in the room down the other end of the hallway, completely opposite the bathroom. I got kind of freaked out and quickly switched off the bathroom lights and ran back down the stairs, without glancing back . I quickly had dinner. I then remember my grandma asking me what was wrong as I was quiet that whole night. I didnt want to say anything so I just asked her who's room that was, down the hallway opposite the bathroom, she told me it was her and her husbands, my grandpa's who had died over 7 years ago. She showed me a picture of him in one of the photo albums. in the photo he was in a chair holding me on his lap when I was younger, I'd say around 2 or 3. It was wierd because this image of my grandpa was so similar to the man I had seen up stairs. I didnt say anything, to anyone, they all would've thought I was a crazy kid. but yeah, I don't know I guess this is one of the most freaky/sppoky things that has ever happened to me.

    I agree with this, majorly.

It upsets me a lot when on 'Most Haunted' Yvette always provokes the spirits especially on Ouiji boards, because it's a very serious thing. By using a Ouiji board you are letting in spirits- and demons- and sometimes you can't get them to leave. This can be the cause of a lot of hauntings.

I wouldn't go down the demonic route. If it was a demon it would more likely not show itself in any form. Dark shadows can just be a spirit trying to come through but not having the strength to show itself in a full form.

Hmmm... next time you experience this, keep calm and try talking out loud to the spirit. Focus on how you're made to feel. If you still feel creeped out, you can try asking to be left alone. If you focus and feel calm or protected it's more likely that it could be your gaurdien angel. Everyone has a protector and some people have more contact than others.

What you've described doesn't sound malicious, which is why I think this. The touching, the knocking and the whispering of your name could be just letting you know that you are there, and the images may be trying to warn you of something or just remind you of something nice.
    Missand:

I think this is mainly because spirit's can sense openings, and sometimes if people are unbelieving they are also un-receptive and cannot notice spirit's. So if a spirit (or demon) can sense somebody is worrying about a presence, they will go to that opening.

But, having said that, sometimes it can just be peoples imagination.

But some spirit's can hurt you. Yes, we are in control but sometimes we can lose that control and that is when spirit's have the chance to hurt us. I've been hurt before by a spirit because I was half-asleep and not expecting it.

    --

    What about any of you?

Yes, I do believe in the Paranormal, quite strongly, as you can tell from my previous posts XD

Have you experienced something beyond explanation?

When I was young, I met a dark spirit who threatened me and people I was with, my younger cousins. They couldn't see him, only me screaming and saying I was seeing things in my head. Obviously most people would say this was part of my imagination but I don't think so.

I also once felt somebody holding my hand during a ghost walk in Edinburgh.

I have some contact with my gaurdian angel who often strokes my hair, footers with things in my room and whispers my name.

Hate to be pedantic, but it's German. :)

And I don't believe in anything paranormal really, but in this kind of field, don't spirits like that feed on negative energy? ie. I would have thought pretending it doesn't bother you would make it stop. But as I say, I don't believe in any of it.
