    C. Thomas Flood (Tommy) from Christopher Moore's "Bloodsucking Fiends" and "You Suck." I love that he's not a 'perfect' boy but he tries. He's kind of a sweetheart dork kind of character, but not really a sweetheart. I don't know how to explain, but I love the character. I think he may be one of the realest male characters I've read about, ever. Especially for a vampire fic.

And then there's...Evan Wise, who retains those same qualities.

I'm trying to think of a female character that's my favorite, but sadly I can't. Which I think says a lot about the portrayal of women in literature.

    Because I'm a Shakespeare nerd....

Mercutio from Romeo and Juliet. :shifty :shifty
    :hand: No doubt. I just...I don't know.
I wrote about two pages on how he was probably the best and most important character (plot wise) and how his death just caused a chain of events and everything could've been avoided if Tybalt hadn't been a total prick. :lmfao
    It was awesome. :tehe:

I also love Pip from Great Expectations. In Love
I felt so bad for him. :XD It was kinda' sad.

    Oh, and Oliver Twist. :tehe:

Narrator, from Fight Club. I love everything about Fight Club... In Love Gah (:

Shane from Invisible Monsters. I'm not as much of a Brandy person.

Tabi Wilmot from Diary. She's so innocent and lost it's just... breaking.

    Mona aka Murberry from Lullaby.

Saint-Gut Free and the Matchmaker from Haunted.

    Victor from Choke.

    Tender from Survivor.
Chuck Palahniuk is pretty much God.
    You got that right. :]

All his characters are mega In Love.
Yes, I agree. Must include Casey from Rant on that list...

Lani Garver from What Happened to Lani Garver? :cheese:
    He is like alskdfal;sdk.
That's almost exactly what I was going to say! Thumb up
I absolutely love the way he is portrayed in the novel.

As well, I think highly of most characters written by Francesca Lia Block, though I have a soft spot for Angel Juan from the Dangerous Angels series, and Lex from Wasteland.

Marten Broadcloak, a.k.a: Randall Flagg, Richard Fannin, Walter O' Dim, the man in black, and Walter of Black. (Dark Tower series, The Stand)

I hate Stephen King's writings but... Marten stole my heart at first psychotic laugh.

But who's in competition with him is Emil Korsch, a.k.a, Vaslav Korskayev from The Secret of the Rose, the Eleventh Hour.

He had me at his first: "I hate the word, I hate everyone, I wish everyone would die, die, die, die, DIE!"

Beautiful book with beautiful characters, I love how he's very old fashioned but in the body of a seventeen year old. I guess he's kinda like Edward Cullen but with flaws.

Jasper, he's my guilty pleasure. Who can resist a 'good southern gentleman'?

Philias Fogg. The book itself bored me, but I loved the character. I also like Inigo Montoya. Other than that, I like any character that is skillfully drawn, unassuming, and useful to the story. (Vague much? XD)

    Okay.

Charlie, from the Perks of Being a Wallflower. He's just so damn wonderful, and I would sure as hell make out with him at the drop of a dime. Charlie is the reason I wish fiction were reality.

Remus Lupin from Harry Potter. I think he's a well-developed character, and very empathetic, and I just wish I could have a teacher like him. And he's a conflicted werewolf who is all scraggly and stuff, which his freaking awesome. He also marries resident awesome-chick Tonks.

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. She's been my hero since I was eight and I wanted to be her so bad. I dressed up like her all the time. I mean, c'mon; we're both (occasionally unqualified) insufferable know-it-alls, book-smart, own grumpy cats, are generally disliked by our peers, and have bad teeth. The only difference is that Hermione willingly chose to take a math course. I'd rather be trapped in Snape's underwear drawer with Moaning Myrtle and a boggart, tbh.

Dallas Winston from The Outsiders. I love tragic street kids, sue me.

Billy Bibbit from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. God, I just wanted to hug him, he was such a damn woobie. What a doll. Poor Billy.

Claude Frollo from Notre Dame de Paris. A lot more interesting in the book rather than the movies. Conflicted, angsty, deep, and a lot younger.

S'all I can think of so far.

Euchrid Eucrow from And The Ass Saw The Angel by Nick Cave. Who couldn't love a mute killer with a dead twin, an alcholic mother and a father who makes animal traps?
