    Because I'm a Shakespeare nerd....

Mercutio from Romeo and Juliet. :shifty :shifty
    :hand: No doubt. I just...I don't know.
I wrote about two pages on how he was probably the best and most important character (plot wise) and how his death just caused a chain of events and everything could've been avoided if Tybalt hadn't been a total prick. :lmfao
    It was awesome. :tehe:
    I LOVE HIM :tehe:

    Yeah, so, Mercutio...

I also like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn from The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer.
Dorian Gray and Lord Henry from The Picture Of Dorian Gray.
Randle Patrick McMurphy and Dale Harding from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

I like em in pairs :shifty

I was more of a Basil Hallward fan myself. Dorian was sort of annoyingly narcissistic and naive (I loved his character change, though, very tragic and corrupt!), and Lord Henry was a jaded smart-ass. Basil was a doll.

McMurphy I rooted for all along the way, and Harding I loved, as well as Chief and Cheswick, but Billy Bibbit will forever be in my heart.

Boo Radley - To Kill A Mockingbird
I knew I was forgetting someone! Boo! Boo Radley! My God, I loved him with a burning passion! He was so amazing and I cried when he saved Scout and Jem. I was the only one who wrote their whole character analysis about him. Even the little poem.

Oh man. Did you see the movie? He was quite easy on the eyes, that Boo Radley. Naughty

Man, I love all of the wimpy ones. :tehe:

Really? I was a fan of Dorian. I really liked his personality. :XD

Him and Atticus were the only characters I liked in that book. And Boo wasn't a looker! :XD

Meg McGregor from Noughts and Crosses (and the subsequent sequels). I always mention Callum, but his mother is just...God, she's the most heartbreaking character in the whole series for me.

^ I loved her, too. But Jude was always my favourite, for some reason. :tehe:

Mine are pretty much all from Harry Potter - there are so many.

Harry, because I had a crush on him when I was younger. :tehe: There's just something so real about him. I love how he always does what he feels is right even if it's not, and how he cares so much about the people around him. I also find it funny how he gets pissed when Snape calls him arrogant like his father, yet sometimes he really can be. :tehe:

Ron, because in all honesty, he's hilarious. He's brave in his own way but also can be very shy, and I think he's quite self conscious in some parts of the series too. I can identify with the fact that he sometimes feels second best to Harry and Hermione.

Ginny. I've always loved Ginny, and I don't know why. She's just a strong character, and even though the Weasleys are looked down upon by richer wizards, she [as well as Fred and George - who make me laugh so, so much :tehe:] is herself and she's respected and loved for that. Plus, Harry can't really be with anybody else. It was made to be. :file:

Draco Malfoy - so, so much. Just because he's a mixture of so many characteristics - he comes from this rich, powerful family and swaggers above everyone else as he's been brought up to think he's better than most, but then when he's bullying people he acts like a child as well. He's tough on the outside, but inside he's real and vulnerable, shown especially in Half-Blood Prince. Also, he's constantly trying to earn his father's repect but it seems he's never been good enough for Lucius, and it's kind of heartbreaking.

Luna Lovegood. Apart from having an amazing name :tehe: I just love how odd she is, and she takes it all in her stride, She's amazing. In Love

He wasn't ugly, but he wasn't very good looking either!
I liked his character. And in the movie, he was very tender, and I loved the portrayal of him, but he wasn't a looker. :XD

Scout - To kill a mockingbird - Because she's so adorable :cute: She made me smile all the time throughout that book

Alex - A Clockwork Orange - Because he's so utterly outrageous! He has no sympathy for anyone and he's fantastic. Even if a little too violent.

Ron - Harry Potter - Because he's a legend :tehe:

Selena - Out of the Blue - Because she fell for Greece, just like I did

    And call me unoriginal but...

Edward and Alice - Twilight - Not because I think their hot *rolls eyes* because I think they're both really good characters. I'd love to have a caring boyfriend like Edward (minus the vampireness) and as for Alice, I just think her personality is electric. She's great

Edit: and I don't know if this counts but...

Light - The Death note series - Because for a Manga character, he's fairly sexy X) and he's so cunning and clever...Yum

I only saw the first half of the film. I never imagined Boo like that. And he's not very good looking there o.o

    Pinkie from Brighton Rock.

He's the main character, and he's evil as anything. He's actually supposed to depict a 17 year old version of the devil whilst still remaining a catholic.
It's really fascinating to me, the way he acts and stuff.

Ohh, and Pip from Great Expectations. I'm not going to lie, I really don't like that book, I just can't read Dickens. I'm not sure why...But I do love Pip. He's so naive and adorable in the beginning...and then when he grows up, he turns into a bit of a snob, but then remembers where he comes from and gives it all up to help out the man who gave him the life he always wanted.

    - Severus Snape from Harry Potter. I like that he is the way he is because of things that happened throughout his life, and that he isnt just mean for no reason. I like his life story.

    - Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter because he is my hero, no joke.

    - Louis de Point du Lac from Interview with the Vampire. I like how is kind of opposed to being a vampire, and prefers not to hurt people.

    - The main character from the wild children, whose name escapes me right now. Dispite really disliking the book, I found the way he delt with things very mature, and he was a very well thoughts out character.

My absolute favorite literary character is Louis de Pointe du Lac from The Vampire Chronicles. One of my favorite things about Anne Rice's writing is that she makes her character so real and 3D, it's hard to believe that they're not out there somewhere (even if they are vampires in this particular series tehe), and also that I think it's easy to relate to at least one of them. Louis was the one that I could really empathize twith while I was reading the series, I saw a lot of myself in him. The quiet, distant introvert with a melancholy temperament? Yeah, I can relate.

I also really love Lestat de Lioncourt, although we're nothing alike. I've noticed that I often (but not always) like characters who are either a lot like me or basically my opposite though. XD But anyways, I find him to be the kind of person that makes you think about how irritating it could be to be around him, but at the same time you can't help but love him. His POV is also very interesting, sometimes he'd make me grin and giggle like mad, and then other times he was very dark.

Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter is another favorite. I can really relate to her as well, but she cares less about what people think of her, which I really admire. She's the kind of person who you hope just never changes, but at the same time you know that they never will, because they're just so true to themselves.

Dorian Gray is my favorite character from all time. He's so interesting.

My second favorite character would have to be Odysseus from The Odyssey. He's fucking hot. But that's not the only reason I like him. He's just so easy to like, and the best Hero of Greek mythology. He did get on my nerves sometimes (Your wife is being faithful to you in Ithaca, and here you are screwing Circe for two years, and then Calypso? What a pig.) but he was just awesome and smart and manly. Happy face

    The complete list so far:

    - Renfield from Dracula. In Love

    - Billy Bibbit from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

    - Boo Radley from To Kill A Mockingbird.

    - Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom, Sirious Black, and Bellatrix Lestrange from the Harry Potter series.

    - Bottom and Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream. (Puck holds a special place in my heart because I played him on stage).

    - Quasimodo and Judge Claude Frollo from Notre Dame de Paris.

    - Conrad from Ordinary People.

    - Charlie from The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

    - Iggy from Saint Iggy.

    - Claudia from Interview with a Vampire.

And that's all of the non-movie ones I can think of. Think

Terra Cooper in North Of Beautiful. She's the realest female character I've had the chance to read in a novel and I love her. And she's not perfect either, but she's an artist and wants to find herself and it's wonderful. She completely changes who she was and finds her strengths in spite of her imperfections. She's wonderful.

Misty Marie Wilmot from Diary: A Novel by Chuck Palahniuk. It's the only book I like by him, for the most part, and I really loved Misty's character. She was screwed up in ways but she was an artist and I really have a thing for artists in books. And she's being held down and used and abused and so on and everything is just insane and I love it.

Benji ("Dogboy") in Dirty Liar by Brian James (favorite author ever) is my favorite male character. He's a typical fuck-up and he's scummy and he's a druggie and he's pathetic and apathetic and hopeless and afraid and helpless. But he has the most beautiful outlook on things that I know of, even if he is a wreck, and I absolutely love him. He also reminds me of a friend of mine a bit and it means so much.
