I used to volunteer at Frightland, one of the local Halloween attractions.

Unfortunately, all the volunteers had to be let go last year. It was hell, and since about half the staff was volunteers, I don't know how they're going to deal with it this year. Sad

I'm about to start at the hospital here. My orientation is June 2nd.
I'm gonna be a Patient Safety Volunteer, I go in the rooms and check for potential safety hazards and I bring them water and stuff.

I volunteer at my ballet school, before my lessons on Saturday I teach the youngest class ballet, tap and modern. There's a qualified teacher who gets paid and then me who usually ends up in control because they adore me. It's really sweet, I love doing it. They're all little darlings, this one calls me Mommy :tehe: slightly weird since I'm only 16.
Then I also do a similar thing on a Wednesday at a musical theatre group.

I volunteer at a local Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center. Ooh, see, it just sounds so official because I capitalized the words. Nah, I love it, even though I've only been volunteering there for a short while. Some of the people I work with are hard to understand because their speech is impaired, and that's a little frustrating for them as well as me, but we get by with it.
I hope to be hired there once I turn seventeen, then it'll really get interesting.

I volunteer at the Humane Society whenever they need me.
But I have to take breaks every half an hour to hour because of my stupid allergies. : /

wow, a lot of people volunteer in animal shelters and hospitals, thats intense.
i volunteer on a military base, my dad is in the army, in a program that allows teens to get comfortable with the work place. everybody gets assigned to a place that interests you such as Prep School for athletes, clinic, buisness buildings that include different jobs. that way you get accustmed to what it would be like if you continue to pursue your career path. its pretty cool.

I have been a volunteer at the Delaware Humane Association for about half of my life (like 8 years).
I frequently volunteer with my school's music department because our buget is really low and we all love it a lot.
I volunteered in my school's counseling office. I have no idea how I got that position, honestly, but ot was fun.
I like volunteering. It really makes you feel nice.

I'm volunteering at my cities animal shelter. Last summer I volunteered at a camp, a library and a museum. Those were probably the best times of my life so far. =)

I volunteer at a school, to help tutor the kindergarteners and first graders there.
I love all of those kids. They're just adorable and fun.

    My school has voluntary work
We go to houses of the financially unstable and give them weekly food supplies and stuff.
The Uniform Groups (Like National Cadet Corps and Red Cross and stuff) paint their houses sometimes.

I also just came back from a charity drive called the Project Hearts Campaign.
It's so disabled children have a chance to participate in the arts.

I think volunteer work is enlightening because seriously, if you don't feel anything after walking around dowtown for 5 hours helping people, something is wrong.
I got home and I cried because those kids are so talented yet they are not given the chance. It's heartbreaking.

I volunteer at the hospital where my dad works, but in the employee daycare. So I get to play with cute little kids, haha. I want to work there part-time when I'm old enough... I'm only 15 now.

I also volunteer as a teen counselor for 4-H camp, but I've been going for 6 years, so I hardly think of it as volunteering. I leave tomorrow, actually... I'm excited.

I do paperwork and stuff for the State Emergency Service when they get really bad storms/floods/other stuff.
Working the radios is mad fun.
I'm too young to do the physical work though. And not strong enough, either.
