I only have 2, and that's hard enough for me! I think the reason some people may have a lot is because most of them are oneshots, so....

    Billie Joe Armstrong:
I get bored of my stories quite often, so I have about 13-14 chaptered stories all up.

It's good in a way, because I can shift between them when updating, and when I'm in different moods I feel like updating different stories.
This happens to me all the time, which is why I have a lot of stories up (and I still plan on putting up more Shifty)
I was able to update each story just fine. That was until I got very distracted XD

But I like it when authors have more than one story up. I usually like to see how well people can keep up with stories and it gives me a chance to see more of the author's works (if that makes sense . . .) :cheese:

I think it is ok for people to have more that one story going at a time, if they can keep them regularly updated and have good quality. I hate it when I am really into a story, and then some one starts a new one and forgets the other one. I can understand if they have writers block but please let the readers know that.

I tried to go for three stories at one time.

I ended up deleting two of them. :lmfao

I'm trying to do three stories at once, and it's been okay for me so far. Although updates come at different times, I make sure to have the reader's attention.[At least I try to :D]

You can never have too many well written and regularly updated stories in my opinion.

    I write mostly oneshots.
So most of my stories on Mibba are complete.
I have 188 posted right now.
149 are finished, oneshots, or drabbles.
I don't think the amount of stories matters, although I am proud to have so many.
But that's 188 stories since September of 2005. Three and a half years, so it's really not a lot.

It doesn't matter how many stories you have.
Right now I have ten. Chaptered and one-shots.
I've deleted probably nearly that many :XD

If you love writing and have the time for it, it really doesn't matter how many stories you have.

I can have only one chaptered story up at once (two if I'm lucky). I just can't comprehend more than one plot line. I get confused. :XD

But damn, doesn't Dru have, like, +140?! :cheese:

    I love long stories,
but I can't bring myself to write them. I'm A.D.D. when it comes to stories.
I can barely get past chapter two. :shifty

I have 4 oneshots/drabbles and two chaptered fics, one of which is being regularly updated. That's all my little head can handle. I marvel at the people who can keep 4 or 5 stories regularly updated. I wouldn't have been able to keep up with Love so long if I didn't have Lacey and Serena helping me out.

I don't think the amount of stories you have matters, but the quality of each. I mean, if you have 100 crap stories posted...what good does that do you? I've got a bunch of stories written, but I only post the ones that I like the best. No sense in posting the terrible stuff. It spoils the bunch.

    I post everything I write.
Because if I don't like it then I typically tend to not finish the oneshot, therefore I wouldn't post it.

Updating is something I NEVER get around to. I get new ideas every single day so I can't really keep a long term story going without getting distracted. I write a ton of one-shots. I've only posted a couple though, I need to get them all onto the other computer because my laptops internet broke.

i love when people have a lot of stories to chose from but i dont like if they're all the same thing and their all really fluffy and nothing happens or it takes chapters and chapters for something to happened. i think in this case it's quality vs. quantity

    I don't think it matters.
Right now I've only got one chaptered story up. It's not keeping up with updates that takes me ages, it's actually writing them. :|

I think it doesn't really matter how many stories you have. Some people can have one and take months to update, whereas some people could have four or five and update almost daily.

Updating was my weakness and it annoyed even myself.
So I stopped writing chaptered stories and focused on one-shots.
So most of my stories that are up are just one-shots.
The others are either forgotten or simply unfinished.

I have 30 posted stories of which four are unfinished chaptered ones.
for some reason I never seem to find the time to write or I’m simply
bored with writing when I actually do have the time.

I don’t only write stories though, I also have far over 100 lyrics and poems.
I’m just not really good at following through when I write chaptered stories. x]
Though someone once told me that it’s not much point writing a novel
when you’re a teenager since it takes some years to finish a book and
by the time you write the end you’re a different person compared to
who you were when you wrote the beginning. So I gave up novels
and wrote short stories, novellas, one-shots and drabbles instead.
Now I’ve started on another longer story but it seems it’ll take
quite some time to finish it. x]
