The best two shows I have been to :
Green Day (August 9 2009) I won tickets. I felt like the luckiest girl on the planet. seeing Green Day was a dream I have had since I was 10 fucking years old and it happened. The whole thing was emotionally overwhelming. Seeing those three, in the flesh... The people that I have loved with all my heart for years... There, sharing with me their songs. No words for how wonderful it was.
The Strokes (March 17, 2011, SXSW)- so amazing. I was sooo close to them. Until I got pushed back by the 30, 000 people that were there. lol They played my favorite song (Whatever Happened) first, and there were fireworks at the end when they play last nite. It was free, and again i felt so lucky that they played for free in Austin, which is just six hours from where i live. Being there with all the people singing every word along with the band. I have also loved them for forever, so seeing them was Fan-fucking-tastic.
I have also been to these FUCKING amazing concerts. Again, this is probably redundant, but I live in a very small town, and so i feel so lucky that these bands have come to my town:
All-American Rejects/ Action Action
Aiden
The Used x2 and one time Atreyu was there
Taking Back Sunday
Mindless Self Indulgence
Silverstein/ Dance Gavin Dance
And then, being a violin player -multiple orchestra concerts/operas that have blown my mind.
