Seems I find killers interesting :P

    Okay, so Charles Manson.

If you don't know who he is, you can read about him here.

So, what do you think about him? Thoughts?

Oh God, he sounds like the Ice Man, aka Richard Kuklinski.
But that's terrible all the robbing and murders.
    This Manson guy, was insane!

Charles Manson is extremely interesting to me too. I think he is quite intelligent, but has some emotional and mental issues. What he did was wrong, but you can not deny he has a great deal of intelligence.
I think what his 'family' did was sick but I am less appalled at that now. I mean, it's still horrible but you should hear some people's exaggreations of what happened. After hearing those, what the 'family' actually did isn't crazy bad like I thought. Haha, awfully sad it happens that way isn't it?
I believe if he hadn't had those emotional and mental problems, he would have had made a great man out of himself due to his intelligence and other few good traits he does have.

Well you have to be intelligent to plan all these things out. It would have been brilliant, if he wasn't caught.

It's not necessary that he had major mental issues or anything like that - he had a really fucked up up-bringing, so his sense of right and wrong went totally out the window.
As for being smart, he only had an IQ of 109, but he was able to convince some very stupid and lonely people into doing his bidding. He'd altered these people's sense of what's good and bad and their whole personalities with LSD, as well as these people were already complete losers, just begging for somewhere to fit in, and someone to tell them what to do and what to think.
Kids still write to Charles in prison, asking if they can join his cult, because they want a sense of belonging, too.

    Ahhh, good old Charlie!

I remember I passed by the prison he's in with my dad years ago and my dad was all like," Wave to Charlie."

    Lol.

He was a very sick and twisted person.

    His story horrifies me.

So Charles Manson...People always used to call my Dad him when my Dad had long hair cause aparently my Dad "resembles" him. Which is kinda freaky. Cause he sort of did.

So he was basically a very charismatic guy. All the crazies were, if you've noticed. It's quite intruiging. ;;P

He did do some terrible things, but with a childhood like that, there are really only two things you're likely to be- suicidal, or a maniac.

Apparently (according to my psych professor) 1% of the population are potential psychopaths, and 11% are potentially borderline. That's a lot of people, but only a few get the kind of treatment and exposure it takes to be a serial killer. I don't doubt that Manson was always inclined to be unempathetic, but when even your own mother rejects you, and you're brought up my a family of criminals, you're not off to a great start.

    This is kind of interesting.

My old baby sitter's dad used to play with Charles Manson as a kid in Ohio. My old baby sitter's almost fifty now, so the ages fit and I don't see why she'd lie about that. (I guess it doesn't really make a difference if we believe it or not, though.)

I used to have a wierd obsession with him. I've always tried to figure out how his head worked. Of course I think I'd have to be just as crazy as him to do so.

I often wonder how so much evil can be contained in one body.

Well I think he was less demented then most and he knew how to control people in different ways with trust or sex. At least he hid his demented ways with a calm cover. I find him the most interesting of killers and I hope to research him more when I get older. I also want to get a Helter Skelter tattoo when I'm older. ^__^

I don't think we'll ever know exactly how his head worked, but I think that's why he's so interesting to some people and why people are curious about him.

My favorite serial killer. Not that I like them, but I find him the most interesting.
Isn't it true that he never actually killed anyone himself?
    Or did I hear wrong?

But indeed he was and still is insane. I could never look into his eyes.

I found him interesting. I find it amusing how he convinced so many kids to kill. He has to be one of my favorite serial killers.

    No, you heard right...I think.
I believe he was the one that planned all the killings, and he was present for the killing of Sharon Tate and her affiliates, but he never actually killed anyone himself.

Yep, he never killed anyone himself.

Personally, I think he's extremely intruiging, as creepy as I feel for thinking that.
His whole story I think is very interesting.
He's completely insane but how can his head be so clear as to plan out everything that happened?

I think he's brilliant, in some weird, morbid way. I mean, this just shows the world how fucking sick some people can be, and it's just so intriguing.
I think it would take someone completely fucked in the head to plan what he did, and be able to sway people into following him and whatnot.
    Really brilliant.
