My school doesn't block it, but I don't get on because I'm afraid that I'll get it blocked. My school doesn't even block videos so in my second period we were watching videos of people getting beat up on school busses. Over the projector.
my school blocks the obvious like myspace, facebook, twitter, etc, and anything they deem inappropriate that has nothing to do with education. The way they add new sites to that blocked list, they watch everything you do on the computer and if you're on a site that's not blocked that has "questionable" content they don't think is fit for school, they add it.
Mibba isn't blocked in my school and that makes me happy. I go on it every time we go on the computers. The teachers never notice. Actually right now I am in my school's media center on mibba.
But for serious. Whenever I go to chemistry, I pretty much stay on Mibba the entire time. Not proud. At my other classes, though, the teachers block all wifi and we have no computers, so...
Mibba isn't blocked in my school because nobody knows it exists. I'm too scared to go on it though, not because of teachers, but because if any of my real life friends found out that I have a Mibba I'd die.
Mibba's blocked at my school because it comes up as a dating/social networking site on the BGfL filtering system for some reason. (Probably all the dating ads we get on here. ) It lets me view the forums, though, but only partially.
What I find ironic is that it doesn't block livejournal or tumblr, but there you go.
My school doesn't block it, but I avoid the TMI thread and anything that would seem inappropriate, I also don't swear in my posts incase it comes up. At my old school, it said bitch on my profile and I got asked if it was school work because it came up in an alert.
My sixth forms just blocked it for the forums, and I can't read True Blood online as it's 'Pornography' I'm too amused, but it does mean I'm bored at schools without Mibba.
You could all try to erase anything of mibba from your school's computer's history files. Though the admins could still find a way of seeing where you've been on the computer but it would take a long time for them to catch on but seriously, I don't schools should block this site because this site could help loads of people with thier writing careers.
