Do you have a certain place that you like to write in? Or is there a place that you like to go to get ideas?

I like to write at break lunch at school. There's so many different conversations going on around me, and I guess that gives me ideas.

    What about you?

I can basically write anywhere, but my room or in a classroom seem to be my comfort zones.

School gives me some of my best ideas. When I'm socializing, I tend to take different quirks and place them into a specific character of mine.

I like to go in my room, or here in the computer room.
I also go outside to my backyard where there's a fallen tree. I'll curl up and write there if it isn't too hot.
I kinda need to be in an isolated place to write. >.>
Talking, TV, just basically any unnecessary noise distracts me.

I like writing in different places, or places that relate to whatever it is that I'm trying to write. Like now, for a joint story I'm starting up I'm spending a lot of time at the starbucks in the mall. Old favorite are usually my brother Israel's room, and internet cafes. Sometimes the pool & arcade rooms are good though.

If I'm writing something that's a little more intense I pretty much have to write in my bedroom or the ideas don't flow properly. But I write and plan conversations for my stories in class really well, as long as people aren't moving around much or shouting.

I'm only really able to write on my laptop, so my only good writing place is my bedroom. Although, when I'm in class and we're doing our own work individually, like not in a class discussion or something, I can usually get a lot of good ideas while I complete worksheets; like I can plan out entire descriptions and pieces of dialogue in my head; although I tend to do that a lot anyway, no matter where I am; it's like, I'm constantly thinking about what I can put into a story, and I can't stop :shifty.

I can only write on my laptop as well, since writing with pen and paper makes my hand hurt after a while, and I type six times faster than I print. Mostly I write in my bedroom, since I need completely silence and no disturbances to write properly and get into it. But I have written in the loft at my cabin, and at the kitchen table, but that doesn't turn out as good.

Well, I find that when I'm handwriting things, I tend to get annoyed at the fact that I do have to handwrite it and then skip over a lot of details and it comes out dodgy, so I usually type things, and we only have one computer, so in the lounge is where I like to write.

    Where isn’t really what matters.
    What matters is that
    1) it’s dark or at least not bright sunshine
    2) I have my music on
    3) nobody is walking around behind me or trying to read over my shoulder.

If I have all that I can write on any computer/laptop.
But I do prefer to use my own computer.
And if I’m handwriting I like to do it on the buss.
Just if there’s a lot of noise and my music doesn’t
drown it out I can’t focus. But most of the time it works fine.

Honestly? Anywhere, but I really like using my computer in the dead of night, when I'm the only one awake and the house is quiet and dark.

But I've written in school, on the bus, over at my friends, outside under this tree, at relatives, during parties...anywhere, really.

But my favorite time is still in the dead of night. :cute:

At school usually makes me write a lot, when I'm not stuck with writer's block. I've written a lot of my poems and such during class. And also in my room. I sit on my bed and just think, and I have a thesaurus and dictionary next to me. Those are my favorite places to write.

I usually got my ideas when I was thinking about random stuff or even when I was sleeping so, my writing place is not constant. I can write wherever I have pen and papers.

I only ever actually write down my ideas on my computer. I usually think up the whole chapter just before I go to sleep, and write it up the next day.

I have trouble finding prefered areas.
My room where I usually am when I do.

I like to go to the library.
Or just find a spot on the sidewalk.
    Though I like night-writing better.

I love writing at places with tables like Burger King or etc.

I like to write in all sorts of different places. I used to write at school alot and still do, I'll sit in my bedroom and write or in the backyard. Any place will do :). I prefer writing outdoors though, or at night when it's peacefull.

i can write anywhere, really. but my favorite place to write is at my camp by the camp fire. it's in the middle of the woods, away from all the hustle and bustle of real life. all of my concerns melt away there, and my creative juices flow. plus, my fear of the woods at night really helps for horror and suspense stories.

I usually like writing in my bedroom when I'm relaxed and when I know no one can creep up on me. ITs all about being comfortable and letting my ideas and mind flow without interruption. A dark room really helps.

I've always to go to the cemetery at night and try writing then. If I ever get to, I'll you know just how successful that attempt is.

I can usually only write in my room, for some reason. I write best when it's cold. :XD

Anywhere (bathroom, restaurant, schoolbus), on anything (table napkin, torn notebook paper, my palms), if I really have to.
But the magic really happens in my room, at 3am, on my computer.
