I guess that I can write pretty much anywhere, but I definitely do it best when I'm alone and silent in my room. It's not so much that I'll get distracted--I usually have nice focus--it's that I just don't like people around when I write.

Because sometimes I like to read conversations out loud. 8)

There's a little raised nook in my room where I can sit and write on paper or my computer while the window brings the light onto my lap. It's very cute and very comforting. ?

I generally only write in my room - where my computer is. I have a hard time writing on paper, but I'll jot down ideas until I can get to the computer. It's not the noise that bothers me in other places. I don't like people looking over my shoulder.

If I'm left alone - like in study hall - I can write on paper.

I like to write in my screened in porch, especially in the fall. It's quiet, cool, and really soothing. Being able to see the nature surrounding my house usually inspires me, as well.

I can only write on my laptop. Or craptop, should I say.

I suck at paper writing, and my thoughts are too fast for my hand.

I typically write in the evenings.

edit: I used to write alll the time in my philosophy class last year, because I was bored. But some girl moved to the far back and it felt awkward to write boyseck with someone behind me, so that ended pretty quickly.

^ I also prefer to use my laptop.

I wrote a lot in the over the summer in the library I volenteered at. Their is something special about writing while being surrounded by thousands of books. Plus, if I needed some information, I could just go and find book on the subject....And I would turn my internet off in there because that serves as a huge distraction...Other that that I enjoy writing in closets sometimes and in other cramped spaces...I'll never know why.

I like writing in the cemetery.

    My mother thinks I'm weird.
    I probably am.

I dunno... I just like it.
I also like composing in the cemetery.

It must look weird, this girl sitting on the benches in the war memorial section with a laptop :tehe:

    I can't write on paper.
It's something to do with other people reading it that I can't stand.

I only really like writing in my room, especially at my dad's house. Mainly because I get paranoid someone will walk into the room that I'm in. I hate writing in a room with anyone else in it -shifty- even if there's no chance of them seeing what I'm doing.

I like writing mostly in my room, mainly because I think up all my ideas in my room.
I like writing at school, mainly in Sciencem because one of my stories sometimes is set in a Science classroom and some of the stuff that my friend and I do in Science is very useful for my story.

I like to write when I'm by the computer, so I can easily go and type it out when I'm done.
In class, mainly Franch, when there's really nothing better to do. Also in science. It helps me block out that stupid prep who gets a kick out of calling me a freak.
My closet. It's a big walk-in, and I had, well HAD, alot of space there.

For my current story, Howl, I've set it in a lot of the local area, so to get a feel for the story I sometimes go into Tan y Gopa woods and do a bit of writing there.

I usually stories write out of boredom. T_T When there really isn't anything else to do. Most times I'm on my computer, sometimes on the laptop.
But I write a lot of non-fiction -essays, commentaries, reviews, school stuff- and then I love to write on the kitchen table. It's cold and quiet and there's food & tea around. Trains also rock at reading/writing on.
I need a certain type of notebooks. I just love a certain type of notebooks. :cute:

Generally in my room, just because I rarely leave my room. So it makes sense that the place where I spend the majority of my free time - and when I say free time I mean from things that are obligatory ie. school or health appointments of some kind - is where I write.

But I wrote by the creek once - we were doing some walk during school and I put my iPod on Tchaikovsky and I just sat there with a pencil and paper and I was on a slope and it really was so picturesque that now I am seriously considering walking down to the creek tomorrow and trying to write.

But yeah, I like writing at the creek. Even though I only got like three sentences out, it was just lovely. :cute:

I'm always able to write in our computer room. Not only because it's where I have access to my stories, but it's also because of how calm the room is. And the only way I can write is if I have music playing. I earn a ton of inspiration from listening to music while writing; it helps the things that I write flow, if that makes any sense.

    I write...wherever, really. Wherever i am.

I prefer to be sitting on my bed, though. Or in some kind of corner. Somewhere isolated and nice.

I like to be sitting on my big chair in my room that I can sort of curl into a ball onto.

That thing is so comfy ^-^

I prefer to type rather than write on a piece of paper. It's easier to edit my work on the computer. So I guess where ever there is a computer. Most of the time I'm on my basement computer because no one in my house uses it. Dance

I was thinking of buying a laptop because then I'll be able to write any where I wanted to. I would love to be able to draw inspiration from other places. I hate being limited to one or two spots. Cry

I can't write with a pen and paper. I change my mind to often and cross things out. My page gets torn and ratty and then I can't read it. :(

I type on my laptop in my room mostly. I don't write at school period. Straight away, I would have people asking what I'm writing about. I write for myself and no one else. I like to keep in private.

I like writing in my bed, when it's midnight, I'm dead tired, and I'm supposed to be sleeping. Fatigue seems to help my mind work, especially when I'm writing a scene that takes place at night.
Since I like being alone while I write, sometimes I'll take my notebook into the bathroom to jot something down. Only when there are a lot of people in the house, though.
If I have to, I'll write during my free period at school. Other than the fact that sometimes people walk by and I have to hide my notebook, it's a very good enviornment for writing.
Basically, I can write wherever it's quiet.
