I have shoulder length hair and side bangs. Its really thick and a lot of the times, when i havent got a lot of time to do my hair or i'm just to lazy, i put it in a pony tail and I guess it looks at least half way decent.
but all the pony tail-ness has caused my hair to have a ripple in it from the hair band. My hair is ok when its straightened, but I cant straighten it everyday.
Any tips to avoid pony tails?

I would use Sunsilk. It's AMAZING. You know best what your hair is like, so go to a local drug store and check out what they've got in stock.

Okay, so i cut my hair really short about a month ago, it's still fairly short. Too short for pigtails, only weenie weenie ones. I kept my fringe abit longer though.
And now I find it kind of boring, and want to get some colour in it.
I like the way Gerard Way had his here, I want to get that sort of thing where the back is a bright colour.
Except I have no idea what colour.
I have blue eyes, if that counts for anything?
Im thinking maybe a purple shade.
    What do you guys think?

Well...what color of hair do you have? Some colors don't blend well with other colors of hair. (for example, red doesn't look good in blonde hair.)

It sounds like you have exactly the same type of hair as me, except I have full bangs.

If you don't mind keeping your hair down, I suggest scrunching it. It takes less time then using a curling iron to get a curly haired look. But that depends if you don't mind having curly hair.

To scrunch it, you can either do it while your hair is wet or dry. When it's wet, you just need to take small sections of hair at a time and squeeze it all together from the end all the tip, if that makes sense to you. Just keep doing this to all your hair, and use some kind of hairspray or something to spray in after so it stays like that for the rest of the day.

I usually scrunch my hair when it's dry, so I use mousse. I brush mousse through out all my hair, and then scrunch it. But sometimes I use more then I already brushed in because it's not always enough for all my hair because it's thick.

I hope you were able you understand this. If you did, and you like this idea, good luck =]

Really, you could go with any color, however I don't suggest purple because it easily fades and flatters almost no one.
Why not opt for a brisk light blue. For that you would need to bleach your hair first in order for it to show up better.

I'm thinking about trimming my hair next week, and getting layered bangs. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I'm planning on doing it sometime this summer. Or before I go on vacation in a month.

I think sideswept bangs would look good on me because I have a long face, and wide forhead. My hair is long, to the middle of my back, and is curly. Like messy, loose curls.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have an idea of keeping the length, and just trimming the ends and then adding long layered bangs.

So this first one is me a year ago with my natural color.

    natual.

And these are me now with my dyed color.

    dyed dyed

I am thinking about growing my hair so it's about halfway down my back but I'm not sure so any advice on a style (nothing too short) would be good.
Also I'm getting a bit bored of this black color and I was wondering if anyone had any other idea's (not un-natural it's gotta be natural for school).
And lastly I am allowed colored highlights for the summer holdays and I was thinking that if my hair is still black then I'd like red ones at the back, but once again I'm not sure.
So any advice on any of them is good :]]
I don't know about the style, but I could help with colors. I know my school requires natural colors, too, so I did the same thing. One color, if you're looking to go unusual, is red. If you've got light hair, you'd wanna go with a lighter, more blonde red. If you're keeping the black, and still want red highlights, you could get really dark ones. They'd be much more subtle and mostly show up when your hair moved. And I'd say to avoid purplish-reds in general.

    Hope that helps.

    Sorry about the weird contrast.
    I'm on the bottom.
    Lovely face, I know.

I'm sorry about the contrast, but I really am almost that pale.
I've kind of got this thing where make-up in general confuses me. I was wondering if anyone here could help me? Generally, the makeup in the first two pictures is the most I wear, in various colors.
Brown eyes. Dark brown hair with red in the bangs.
    Thanks in advance.

Your idea sounds like a good one to me. However, you might want to be careful with getting longer bangs because they too can go curly, and curly bangs don't always look good. To prevent this from happening, look at your hair from the back. Where do the curls start? If they start right at your scalp, I would suggest getting bangs as straightening them day in and day out would get tedious and would damage the hair. However, if your curls don't start until a good four inches down, you could get bangs.
Good luck with your hair, I hope it turns out nicely. [:

Ah! I didn't even think about that. Rooke, you're a beauty genius.

    :tehe:

When I get it done, probably in the next few weeks, if I can get my camera to work, I'll post pictures.

I'm thinking about growing my hair long - probably about to the middle of my back. One problem - you can see, my hair has been dyed and is now growing. I don't want to redye it because it'll just fade again, and I plan on trimming it every once in a while to get the colour out.

But really what I'm asking is, would a long style look good on me?

I think your hair long would look good. It also depends on how you decide to style it, but yea your hair would look very nice long.

Just a quick question about skin care. Does proactive really work? I have bad skin, so my mom is willing to buy me Proactive. But I want to know if it actually works.

Yes, it works very well, I used it for a fair amount of time. But then I switched to another...Because it was expensive. But yeah, it works really well. :]

I tried doing that. If you wanna do red, it works pretty well, it just shows up more natural looking.
