- If I'm driving in my car alone listening to music I get lots of ideas, typical of the random/mundane sort. Things that could happen at a bar, a conversation at the house, mainly talking things. But it helps. Stories can't constantly be filled with drama.
I try to put as little into them as possible.
I put a significant amount of drama I think in mine. Certain stories have more agnst than others when it comes to me. I don't really know why- it's basically how I started out. I am branching out to horror and then to comedy eventually. I think its good for young writers who are just starting out to kind of feel their way around genres and styles until they find one they are comfortable with.
For a while I wrote in third person, I wasn't exactly comfortable with it. My writing improved once I went into first and second person.
