Writing Habits

When my characters cry, I cry.

I also find I can only write when I'm angry :XD
So I have to get really pissed off at something before I can even consider writing.
Even if the story isn't particularly angry

I kinda have to have things in my mouth. Which is probably why I eat when I'm not hungry... working on that. I chew gum, stick pencils in my mouth, sometimes peices of broken plastic... lots of stuff. I also kinda play with my hair when I"m thinking or reading and I sometimes do it when I write. When I write at the compuer, I sometimes use one hand.

I also usually listen to music... It has to fit the story I'm writing, though.

Sometimes, if I'm forcing myself to write, I'd probably be watching TV or something, so I write word by word. I do ingest a lot of stuff when I write. I write when I'm bored, so sometimes I stare into space. Actually, a lot. And if I having a hard time, I force myself through it saying I can edit later.

That's all I'm conscious of, though I may do other stuff. I'm really not sure.

Bite my nails.

I usually just get too absorbed to do anything. I just shut out everyone; if anyone tries to talk to me, I can't hear them.
Oh and I play with my lip piercing a lotmore.

I make the expression my character would be making. Also I tap my pen and constantly put the cap on/off. I was writing during science yesterday and my friend shouted at me because I was tapping the pen so much in a dead silent room. I was the only one done the book work... Whenever I'm typing a story I always tilt my head to the right. When I get really into it, it looks hilarious because I'm dead still with my head at an angle with my fingers flying over the keyboard.

I tune everything out and bite my lip a lot. And apparently make odd expressions; my parents have caught several pictures of me making the ':XD' face while attempting to write.
Yeah... I'm weird. :tehe:

I tend to not be able to write unless I have music on.
I also can't have lots of lights on or people talking at that time.

I bite the inside of my lip. (That habit drives me crazy.)
And comb my hair with my fingers.

I lay on my stomach and wiggle my toes.
Or I tend to bite off my nail polish.

Hm, recently, I've found that I can only write after my dinner, or a meal.
That's weird, isn't it? XD

Most of the time I post on mibba and write on MS Word simultaneously.
Doing that has grown as a habit for me already.

I make the layout/summaries of my stories before I even start writing them.

-Music playing that matches whatever scene I'm writing
-Creating graphics for stories/chapters
-Get an idea for another story while I'm writing...therefore I get distracted xD

I have to have a bandana tied in my hair, which has to be up. I talk to myself a lot and speak the dialouge to make sure it sounds right. Also, I sort have to be in a foul mood. I can't be all giggly and write, it just doesn't work for me.

I can't be talking to a bunch of people on MSN and write at the same time... the very limit is two. So usually if I'm trying to get an update out, I'll appear offline and only talk to people from Mibba... anyone else and it messes me up.

I have my ipod on. If I'm in my room, I lie in the middle of the floor on my stomach on top of my blanket. I can't write sitting on the floor, it hurts my back.

If i'm in the living room at the compdesk, I have my head to one side in my hand.

I think I make faces since I find myself doing that when I get an idea for a scene. Depending on how intense the moment is, sometimes I end up feeling the same way as the character. Like, if my character is happy or laughing I'll have a huge grin on my face, or if one of my characters is depressed, I'm really sad all day.

Also when I'm thinking out a scene sometimes I stare into space for like a few minutes straight. My friends are all like "Tara....?" when I'm writing the story I'm writing in my notebook for them (it sucks more than my normal stories do).

What's funny is when I get an idea for a scene and I take a walk to get ideas for it. I'll only listen to songs I think fit, otherwise I can't listen to the whole song. I'm just weird like that.

...I like to find a picture that I think my character should look like.
I don't know why, I always find myself searching for a picture...
I also write better when I'm listening to music. :think:

I have to have music on.
Any type of music works and I tend to bite my lips will I write.
Most of the time I have to write at night too, I'm not sure why though.
