I've never actually been caught. My parents know I write, but they aren't the type to really care what I actually DO write about. I have tried showing my mom some of my stories on here, only I don't think she's ever bothered to sit down and read them. None of my stories are really bad enough for them to actually cause any kind of alarm.

I mean, both my parents know I'm extremely passionate about my disabilities and those of others as well. So, it doesn't really come to a shock to them when I write about that kind of stuff. XD

The boy I like (which is in my class) and his best friend read my gay band member fanfiction. It includes a lot of smut... And that was the day I died

A few years ago, I was starting a story about a girl who ran away from home (I still remember the title: "If All Else Fails") and I had the first chapter written down in a notebook. While I was asleep, my mom apparently found the notebook and read what I'd written. She came into my room and woke me up, telling me that I'm not allowed to keep writing the story. (I'd been going through a rough patch and was about to go to therapy again.) The weird thing is that she didn't care when she read a story I wrote where the main character kills himself; she told me she wanted to read more...

When I was 10, I had left a notebook open on my desk. It was a story about superheroes and my dad read it. He really liked it.

But when I was 13, I was writing a journal fiction in a blue folder. Every entry was on notebook paper, so I'd take it out when I was in school and write in it. Well, I left one of the entries in a desk in my math class, and in that entry Max was really depressed and thinking about committing suicide. A bunch of boys reported it to the principal because they thought someone was going to commit suicide...I was so scared it was going to be traced back to me but they never found "Max" and everything died down.

it was the first fanfiction i had ever written, i was probably about 12 and had a HUGE obsession with joe jonas. anyway, i kept it in a folder and took it with me basically everywhere (so i'm surprise more than one person never got a hold of it). i was at my grandparents one night and i had kept it on the side table with me in the living room while i was watching television and my grandpa came in the room and i didn't realise he was there until he picked up my story and started reading the first lines of it out loud. i was so horrified i threw it away.

I had a rough draft open from my urhm.. earlier days of writing. The days when I was really embarrassing and probably shouldn't be writing at all because the stuff is just god awful. But, I had this huge conversation just about boys, hooking up, love triangles, and really stupid vapid shit. And of course, my sister ended up reading it, and wouldn't stop teasing me about it for months. I eventually got her back for it though when I saw some of her more.. graphic drawings of her and her boyfriend together.

I had brought a notebook of my works over to my pa's and I went up to my room, leaving it on the table where we were sitting and he read it. It was lesbian stuff but he said it was really good and asked if I was thinking of a career in it.

It was actually my friend I caught; she was writing FanFiction and was super embarrassed. She didn't want anyone to think she was lame. When I told her that I wrote the same sort of thing. We spent 2 years after that writing and sharing our stories until I moved and lost touch.

I thankfully never have. I don't think I'll be able to stop it when my boyfriend and I get a place together though. Eep.

I think my brother has read my crappy 7th grade A7X fanfics before lmfao other than that, I keep Mibba on the downlow and do not write on paper in fear he might sneak into my room and read it.

    I have a couple times:

When I was really young, my friend and I used to write stories together. They were really...bizarre stories. We always had notebooks filled up and I guess we left some lying around because one time my mom talked to me about using the word "crap" when writing. Another time she had torn out some pages and I found them at her desk and I stole them back.

Another time she found some of my poetry on the computer and told me it was really good. (This was a couple years ago)

Oh, this is the best one. My cousin gave me his really, really old laptop. I wrote some stories on there about some pretty graphic sexual and abuse stuff. Well, my mom wanted to give the computer away and I couldn't figure out how to delete anything on it. So I literally smashed the laptop with a hammer. I forget how old I was, young though.

I've accidentally left some stories and poems at people's houses, but nobody ever said anything.

One of my friends freshman year got a hold of my notebook of a slash story featuring two boys in our grade. And word got back to them. They supported it and wanted me to finish it.

Luckily, no one's ever caught me writing one of my stories. But I was once reading a really smutty fanfic in my dorm room, and I didn't realize that my roommate had stood up on her bed and was hovering right behind me. ...It got even more awkward when I quickly slammed my laptop shut and then she knew she hadn't misread what was on the screen.

When I was going through my Twilight phase, I hand wrote a Jacob black fanfiction and I lost it halfway through writing it. Turns out while cleaning out our shared closet, my cousin and sister found it. They teased me about it for a week by talking through hints that they knew about my sister, for example "You're a twilight fan aren't you?" "You like that werewolf guy huh?" "So you write fantasy love stories?"

Another time I had left my short stories out in the open and my mom found them. I didn't know she had read them until at dinner with friends and family she said. "Yeah, Mia writes really good. She wrote this story about a blind boy falling in love and this horror one about a killer dog." My family basically thinks I write only love stories now.

Yes. When I was eight I wrote Total Drama fanfic with high amounts of swearing and sexual references. Unfortunately my parents found those. Yeah, I was in trouble for a while...to be honest I had no idea what half of those words meant, they were just words I had picked up from other stories in FF.net's M-rated section.

I'm lucky to say that I haven't been caught in an awkward situation yet. I almost was by my boyfriend but I was able to play it off like I was writing an email to a former professor XD Secrets are good for the soul.

My 30 year old male house mate was poking around on my laptop today before I got home from work and read a new draft of my story Believe With Me.

"Good writer but you should probably stop writing about emo boys."

I prefer to keep all my stories secret from people I know in real life just out of fear they won't like them. My mom found my Mibba not too long ago and passed the link to one of my stories around to a few people. I just hope the don't find my stories that contain sex scenes or my sappy break-up drabbles.
