May I ask why? Paul was like, the true version of a complete convert...
    I agree.

Wasn't he a total misogynist, too?

Not to stick up for Paul, but he was like a hardcore follower of the OT, and well... the OT is full of all types of hate.

    -nods-
That's why we don't like him.

  • What makes you think he was a misogynist??

Yeah, he hated all Christians, I guess he just didn't treat women any differently than men.

He thought women were shit and beneath men.

And if he's such a beacon of hate, why do you find him so glorious anyway?
    May 27th, 2009 at 12:38am
  • It's so, 'glorious' because, he was a beacon of hate, and pure evil, but, through Jesus Christ, he turned into a complete convert. He turned into an apostle, and helped spread the word of God to many nations.

Oh, what about Peter? He's like one of my fave desciples.
    May 27th, 2009 at 04:46am
  • Paul also thought that Christ would return in his lifetime. Guess he was wrong.

Peter's a bit of a hypocrite, yeah? He like preaches to people that they need to follow Jesus, and then denies him.
    May 27th, 2009 at 06:00am
  • Well, he was scared, like all the other disciples were. He's a human, like we all are, making mistakes. All the disciples denied Jesus at one time or another. The only one that didn't was John the Evangelist. Which is pretty much why he's my favorite disciple =)

  • Even though I'm not really a Christian anymore, I like Luke.

He's the patron saint of Doctors.

And I dunno, I just like him.
    May 27th, 2009 at 01:34pm
  • Yeah, he was scared, all the disciples left him, except John, like rose_in the_rain said.
And my Pastor was teaching about him, he said the reason was because although his heart was with Jesus his mouth wasn't...or something like that.

But the reason why I like him has to be how he turned about three thousand people to Christ, like Jesus said he would. Besides that, I really don't know why.

    Luke is pretty cool. :D

No, he was still a beacon of hatred and misogyny after he "found Jesus" or whatever.
    May 27th, 2009 at 06:02pm
  • And why do you think so?

And why do you think so?
Because after Jesus died he still said all those nasty things about women...

Yeah, exactly. Peter basically started Christianity, if you think about it. He helped many people follow the path of Christ and founded the early Church, along with help from the other disciples. He was the first pope and like Cresent_Moon_ said, he turned three thousand people to Christ.
As Christians, we've all turned against God by sinning. We're human! Is Peter not?

Luke is also pretty cool too =)

    After Jesus died?
    That's irrelevant.
    I'm talking about Paul.

Peter is a misogynistic bastard that turned Christianity into an awful tithing religion based on money rather than love. I'm sorry that I don't think he's an amazing role model or something for acting like that. I don't like anyone in the Bible just because the religion tells me to.
    May 28th, 2009 at 08:13pm
  • Well, if you feel that way, you don't have to be in the conversation, and our religion doesn't tell us to like anyone in the bible, we just do, if that's what you're saying.

If you think he is a misogynist, then, that's you, it your opinion, I think he was a good Christian.

Yea, I agree with you, no one's perfect, which is why the bible says all has fallen short of the glory of God.
    May 29th, 2009 at 03:51am
  • Whether or not someone hated women isn't really an opinion.

Personally, if you follow the Bible at all, I think you're a misogynist, but that's just me.
