Paper and pencil. Wooden pencil. Never mechanical pencils. They just annoy me for some reason. I've only ever written one story entirely on the computer, and I regretted not being able to have it to carry with me to whole time I was writing. I guess I'm sort of eccentric when it comes to writing, but I also have to have notebooks all in the same color for a story. Like if I start one using a red notebook, all of the subsequent notebooks have to be red. I have loads of blue notebooks lying around the house because I never seem to use those...

Oh, and all of my notebooks are one-subject. No three-subject nonsense for me!

It really depends on the situation.
If I'm sitting in school, I'll write it out longhand.
I just think it's easier on the computer because I can get information and edit quickly.
I used to write everything out in a notebook, but then I realized I can type much faster than I can write if I want whatever I'm writing to actually be llegible.

I always write my drafts before I start typing them because there are times where I'm not on the computer or if I'm in school. Also, writing your drafts on paper comes in handy because what if your compjuter crashes and all that data is erased? Where would your drafts be now?
That's why I love using a pencil and paper because you still have it with you and you know it's not gone.

I do a bit of both. During the day (at home) I'll most likely just type.
But at school, or in bed, I'll handwrite it.

Pen and paper because I write much faster than I type and it helps me get my thoughts organized before I put it on the computer.

I prefer a nice mechanical pencil and some paper, because I can write it all down whenever.

I take my three notebooks all my stories are in with me everywhere that I go just in case I get an idea. I can't just haul my computer all over the place.

So I am much more of a fan of writing it down on paper, and then typing it up. Plus when I do that I feel like I get better ideas because when I write then type I can come up with more things to had, but when I start out typing from the beginning - which I do when I'm lazy - I normally don't get as much detail as I want in there.

I carry a notebook around with me for my quick ideas and development but prefer typing it up on computers.

Actually, coming to think of it, I prefer a nice pen and paper. It's just nicer when drafting a new idea. Although it is nice to see your idea typed up :tehe:

I like to write stories and fan fictions on the computer. Ideas just come to me and I can type them quickly and then edit them.

When it comes to poetry though, I write on paper first. I think I get more inspiration that way. I rarely type up any of my written poetry.

I always handwrite my stories before I ever consider posting them online.
The stories I'm most proud of are the ones involving The Used. [In Love]
There, I've written over 600 handwritten A4 pages and typed about 250 of them on my laptop where I eventually post them online here.
So, yeah; I prefer to handwrite and then type it on the computer. (:

I used to prefer paper, only because, I don’t know. Now I prefer the computer, because when I bring a story written on paper, I get aggravated, because then I have to look up and down, up and down. Sometimes, I end up missing a sentence. So I just… use the computer now.

My issue is that my mind just flows so fast that it's much easier for me to keep time with my thoughts if I type instead of write.
    Agreed.

    Computer.
I'm not sure really but so far, everything I wrote on MS Word is better than those I've written on paper. I think I can get the ideas written down more properly when it's being typed down. Or maybe it's just that I'm used to typing than writing.
    cee.:
I usually write on the computer but I think I write better on paper.
I have written loads through MS Word and all of them wasn't really that appreciated.
Unlike the only one-shot I have written on paper while I was at school, it got the most comments (considering it was only a one-shot).

So I think maybe it will be better for me if I consider writing everything on paper first.
Oh great. I think I just contradicted what I said before. x]
But the thing was, I made another one-shot the day after I said that, and I wrote it on MS Word, and it was a lot better. So, yeah.

Some things I start on my computer, ususally out of boredom. Things Im more serious about I usually write out a bit of it on paper before writing it out on the computer.

I kind of prefer computers, though writing gives me a special feeling. It's really just the fact that I make less gramatical errors on the computer than I do on paper.

I've always been able to type alot faster than I do with handwriting.
I always prefered to write on a computer.

It does bug me that sometimes when I get an idea, I can't write it straight away since my story is on my computer, but I have notebooks that plan out my stories and hold ideas. I never write part of the chapter by hand but yet ALL the planning is done by hand.

I got to have a notebook for just one story :) I don't like things clashing with each other.

So, paper for planning, computer for writing. That's the way I work :)

When I write the story out in a notebook, the ideas are more laid out. So, when I type it up and go to edit, I can find the mistakes easier. Handwriting the stories causes me to read over it to make sure that everything is right, that no mistakes exist

I prefer writing in my computer. It's easier and I can go back and edit whenever I want to. Whenever I get emotional, I can easily put on some music and just cry in front of the monitor, too. But I ocassionally write in paper, whenever I'm at school or something. It helps that my handwritting is tiny, really tiny, and messy, so mostly no one can read it. And whenever I write, I do it with pen. I can't stand pencils, for some weird reason.
I also type faster than I write, so yeah. Computer's better for me.
