    Jane Doe:
Read all of Palahniuk's work, even Snuff, which is by far the worst. Read Survivor first.
    Unneeded intricacy:
I really, really want to read American Psycho but I don't think I'll be allowed judging by what I've heard of it.
Don't watch the film before you read it, and also, I really enjoyed it for the first half, but found it unbearable to read after that. I had to stop. The way Ellis wrote it just disturbed me.

    Edit: GARRH. Fail.

    1. The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan
I read The Lightning Thief in his Percy Jackson series and loved all the Greek mythology in it. I also love ancient Egypt and learning about the gods and pharaohs, so I'm thinking The Red Pyramid will be like his other series, only packed with ancient Egypt mythology. That really excites me.
I want to read that book now. Weird

I also want to read Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen. I already saw the film, and I love it. I have this feeling that the book is better.

Any Stephen King books. I've read part of Lisey's Story and it was so... weird. I just can't explain. I don't know if his other books are alike, but it's definitely something I want to check out. The Shining sounds interesting, too.

^ I started The Scarlet Letter and I'm surprised by how much I actually enjoy it.

How do you like Lolita so far?
Nice. It really spoke volumes when I discussed it
in class. Instant appreciate for Hawthorne, not even joking.

Lolita is very different from what I'm used to reading.
It makes me think about how the human mind works. Very Happy

The book is amazing! Definitely one of my favorites, it's so funny.

I kind of want to read Atonement by Ian McEwan.

I love Agatha Christie's books. I can never, ever guess the murderer. XD They don't really have a lot of action, they're more about the mystery, and about how the person who's solving the crime goes about it. There's a lot of searching for clues, etc.

I really want to read the second Hunger Games book. I just finished the first. Weird

I have Naked Lunch, haven't read it yet but want to. Also, Glass and Fallout by Ellen Hopkins (I read Crank and loved it). There's also a bunch of Poirot (Agatha Christie) I want to read too.

Yes and no. Some I've read have been duds, but most I've read have been excellent. Sometimes they are a bit formulaic, but for the most part I find them entertaining.

I'd suggest trying some of the Poirot or Miss Marple books of hers.
