I'm currently taking the AP Language and Composition class. I'm kinda eh in it. >.>
My AP Lit teacher said that AP Language is a lot harder than AP Lit because of all the terms that you need to know.

I always took AP English and AP History classes up until this year, when I transfered to college classes, but I never took them for science or math classes. I'm atrocious at those subjects. I would never take AP Physics or AP Pre/Calculus.

My college classes are apparently easier than the AP classes. And they really are. My boyfriend is in AP English and AP Government and he's a Senior, and some of the stuff they do is just... wow. I would fail.

But I am attempting to take AP Government & Economics next year only because it looks good to some universities and it will be the only hard class for me.

I'm taking AP US History II this year (AP US History I was last year) and then I have to take the test in May like a week after my SATs. :mrgun:

Next year my English Honors course upgrades to an AP course so I'll have to take that exam when I'm a senior.

    AP Exams are coming up.
I'm kind of worried about AP Human Geography and Psychology. I don't think I'll do that well.
Anyone else nervous about their AP exams?

I'm taking AP English this year. My class isn't that hard. We read books and then we have questions to go along with them.
The AP English class in my school is really, really difficult. I got rejected for next year. That may have something to do with how I walked in 15 to 20 minutes into the placement test and BSed an essay for about 20 minutes before they took it away. (Yeah, in my school you need to be tested). I know, way to go.
I'm a junior and I took AP European History last year (which I loved, great class), and this year I take AP American History and AP Chem, and next year I'll take AP Calculus, AP French and AP Environmental History.
My school is extremely competitive, it's crazy. There's so much pressure to take APs it drives me nuts. Like, if you don't graduate with at least 4 APs you might as well not apply to college, pretty much.

Um, AP Chem. It's killing me. I'm so scared I started shaking when I was with my tutor today. I'm really, really bad at chem, don't ask me why I decided to take it.

Honors classes are designed for those who are too advanced for regular courses but aren't ready to or choose not to take AP classes--at least, that's what I've always been told. Honors classes are typically more fast-paced than regular courses. They also usually involve more extensive reading/writing.

AP Classes are the most challenging of all, and they're supposed to prepare high schoolers for college work and give them college credit for the course, but it depends on what teacher you get and how they teach the class. Some teachers will work you to death, others give so little work that it's like you're not even in an AP class at all. Some schools don't require that you take the AP Exam at the end of the year, which is pointless because colleges look at your score on the exam.

I haven't taken any AP classes yet, so I'm not really sure, but most people in AP classes at my school say that if you've got an 85 or higher in an Honors course, you'll do fine in AP.

^I think International Baccalureate is even more challenging than AP.

My English teacher wanted me to join either 10th grade Honors or AP English classes this semester but I heard it was killer and politely declined without telling my parents. Besides next year I'll be in IB English so I assumed it wasn't necessary.
Was that really an intelligent choice on my behalf?

I just have one thing to suggest to anyone, never, never take AP Chem. I must have been delusional when I chose it. Hardest class, guaranteed.

    Extemely.
I have to somehow cram roughly 40 chapters of U.S. History into my head by next week.

Anyone else taking APUSH? A study buddy would be cool. :tehe:

I'm taking AP Chem and I don't find it that difficult. Challenging, certainly, and there's a lot of study and work involved, but I kind of like it.
Then again, my teacher's really good and I'm a huge nerd. :XD

My teacher's really good too. He's apparently the best chemistry teacher in the entire nation and has a medal or something. So it's pretty sad that I'm still doing terrible. I've just discovered that in my school they make the course harder than the actual AP, though. :|
I hate it. I don't understand it, I don't care, and I don't want to be a doctor. The fucking end. When I'm done I'm burning all my notes. Fuck Off haha

I'm in AP English right now :D
It's really not that different from the regular English classes except we get to read more books and write.
Oh, but AP Anatomy Physiology's a bitch. I had a breakdown where I couldn't stop crying for like a half hour while I was trying to study for the exam.
I had one of those before my huge must-pass-to-graduate Algebra test.
    :file:
I'm taking AP Geometry and AP English next year. I could be in AP Biology but I don't want to.
