Thanks for your comment on my Toews story! Jon is really a delusional guy when he can't even admit to himself that he's in a relationship. Even if he doesn't fully want it all the time, it's there. Poor Josey in love with such an idiot.

Thanks for your comment on the last chapter. You have Jon figured out so well. Sadly he doesn't have nearly that same level of understanding. The question is does he figure it out before he hurts Josey? Unlikely because of what you know from the first 2 chapters!

I forgot to ask, do you have a favorite college team for football/basketball? I used to like watching college basketball but I mostly had to give it up to have time to follow 2 hockey teams.

Ah yes, but I have the benefit of seeing both party's POVs. It is much easier to see things that way.

Although I understand their "cluelessness" - both of them were obviously very deeply hurt by everything that went down at UND. But for either of them to admit their true feelings - first, they would have to admit the feelings to themselves and secondly, they would have to reveal everything to the other person which would leave them emotionally vulnerable and open to be hurt all over again. It takes a very brave person to lay their feelings out on the table without at least some idea of what was coming back to you.

Nope, it is much easier to conceal real feelings and devoid all emotional attachments. Either that or mask everything with anger. To try and make the other person hurt more than you are hurting.

Funny how that never seems to work out though, huh?

Thanks for your long comment on chapter 2! If only Jon and Josey were as perceptive as you at understanding themselves and their relationship, then they wouldn't be in the mess they are in right now! It's only going to get worse, too!

You are right that they both care for each other deeply but they are going about it in the most clueless way. But in their defense, it kind of snuck up on them. I guess the hope is that they would have learned something since they both messed up their relationship in college. If they have, maybe they can make it work now.

I'm working on chapter 3 now which will cover Josey's visit to Chicago.

I always enjoy your thoughtful comments on my stories. I'm happy to see that you are reading my new story and hopefully what I have planned can live up to what you expect. Some of the things you wondered about will be revealed in the next chapter, although I am thinking I should be careful about revealing too much at once. I don't usually go for big surprises too much in my stories but it's fun to have a little bit of that!

I think the first chapter is the only one that is contains only Jon's point of view. Josey's point of view and thoughts will show up in the next chapter and should be present for the rest of the story. I just did the first chapter that way so the readers could get a clear picture of Jon and his thoughts, and because I kind of like the idea of the surprise twist at the end of the chapter. Also, Jon will reveal why he thought the way he did in chapter 1 early on chapter 2 (I think so anyway, it's already written but I'm too tired to recall exactly where he thinks to himself why he thought like he did in chapter 1). If that makes sense. You should understand soon why chapter 1 had only his point of view.

aww, I love all the love Pat has been getting lately. I actually just updated the story again, and this chapter also shows a soft, yet very reasonable, side of Kane that people never think that would exist.

I just wish he was my best friend :( haha

No, I totally get where you are coming from. I have some experience with this type of situation as well. I was not quite as intimately involved in the situation as Lexi is, but unfortunately, the outcome was not as favourable.

Sometimes we have to make "unpopular" decisions for those we love, to ensure that they get the help they need. It can be hard and it is risky - you are putting a friendship on the line - but when it comes down to it, I would rather have someone be "mad" at me for the rest of their long life, than them to be "happy" with me for a short time and then something tragic happen.

I've had first hand experience in this kind of stuff, and I don't think people realize how hard it is for a friend to watch what Vicky is going through and do something about it... I'm hoping that this is coming through my writing!

Lexi and Kane are the best friends I hope to have one day when I "grow up" lol but seriously, though. they are my favorite characters to write <3

Sorry - I certainly don't mean to steal your thunder! I just sometimes get into stories - especially ones as good as yours - and voice my opinions to the characters.

Love the latest chapter. I cant wait to see what Jon finally does. I am still angry with him for what he has put everyone through, but most of all I just want to see Vicky happy.

It is funny, because normally I don't have much sympathy for a woman who gets involved with another woman's man, but in this case Vicky's vulnerability has really pulled me in. As I guess it did, Jon. I just hate the thought of Vicky being so alone and alienated.

I feel like a lot of the readers shame the same feelings that you have for Jon... I've been getting so many comments on how girls hate him and Vicky shouldn't go back to him lately!
