I'm glad that helped you! I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I'm moving so I've been on the road for a few days. It's alright if things aren't perfect, though. I usually write about a few versions of my first chapter from different point of views or in different scenarios that way I look at my character from different sides, learn more about them and give them dimension. After that I'll merge them into one the best I can. I never got to edit the story due to packing but I'll get on it while I'm on the way. I get a little side-tracked. It'll be called Godsend.

I also wanted to let you know, I read this and the weekly contest is perfect for your story. Here's the link. I'm entering with my object being a guitar. It'll be a post-apocalyptic themed short. The only thing is that it has to be centered around just the object (I guess it would have to be in 3rd person or the objects pov?).

I was thinking it might be cool for you to try! It could possibly help you with the Boy and the Violin and stand by it as maybe a prequel or something. You could use it to give it more depth, maybe it's the story of everyone who have owned it up until it's current owner. Maybe the Violin sees a poor boy staring in the window at it, and sees him standing outside trying to make money so he can buy it. Maybe the boy can't sing and the people make fun of him and find it funny and pay him. Then he buys it and get famous :3

As for the book reccs. I'm sending you a private message on here about that! Mr. Green

Yay! I'll edit it and upload it sometime soon. That idea of yours sounds quite intriguing to me. :3

I write different ways for different stories, sometimes it just comes to me and then it all ties together how I want, but sometimes it doesn't come easily because of such a random idea. I do have another idea that may help, I do it with my more broad ideas. My way is, in my opinion, different than the most popular way of pre-writing. I call pre-writing 'Spining' (only equivalent English word I could think of so I could spare you my Latin :P) a story.

After I have a general idea of the main character (like boy with violin for example ;P), I make a little list of things I want to add (event, item, anything at all) then from that, further expand your character based on those things (how aforementioned event/item effects violin boy, changing him for better or worse, or even event/item that made him want to play the violin). From there by what things I'm going with for my story, decide if it's taking place in past, present, future, and then pov.

Might be fun to try, at least get some thoughts brewing.

Sorry I'm putting long comments. I just know that it's a bit hard writing after such a long time of not much. It is worth the strangeness of getting into the flow, though. Other than writing, how else can you talk about why a fictitious chair loves the peppermint stuck to it's armrest? I don't think I could get away with my bad puns and strange sense of humor doing any other activity or hobby. :)

Whoo! That makes me pretty darn happy. Seriously, I live for that one person that gets something good out of what advice I give. Dance I'm going to add you. So once you think of some crazy stuff, we can share. I wrote one draft last month about and old man who lives in a bathtub and talks to dolls, never leaves his bathroom. Then in the end you find out why: He lives in the sky! That's my craziest idea yet.
But anyways, if you ever want to talk or whatever I'm usually around. Always good to meet new people on here. Mr. Green Wish you the best in all your writing endeavors (and otherwise)

Uhmm, I know. I just... Tony Stark, man. If only he were real... I suppose I'll just have to settle for Robert Downey Jr. Even though he's happily married with a new baby and stuff. Minor details! :P

Thanks for your comment, as always. :)

I'm in the middle of updating right now. Also, I'm now in the middle or rereading the chapters I've already published and editing them so they actually make sense. I can't believe I missed her telling him her name was Felicity! Goodness me... Wink
But really, thank you so much for telling me what you think, and an even bigger thanks for alerting me to the whole Felicity thing! Oops! :s

I was hoping no one would notice the Felicity thing! No, no she wasn't lying! I wrote this story once before and the main character's name was Felicity, but I changed it to Victoria and re-uploaded it. I'll have a look through and change any times I forgot. Sorry! There was no lying about the name. As for the ignoring thing, I wanted it to seem as though it felt like nothing else was around when they were together, but I get what you mean. I was always planning to make everyone better in the end, so I'm sorry if it confused you!

Awww! That is so friggen adorable! I would have fangirled. Legit, and I hope so!

I've picked the most random contests, Vampire Diaries, Glee, Harry Potter, a picture one, a pairing one, a 'first time' one, and I think a Hunger Games one. Haha. I've never even done a contest before, I'm ridiculous. Lol. And I should do that, like.. write every day. Because it takes a while to start up. It sucks sometimes.

But yeah, I'm definitely thinking about doing a Princess/Prince type story. Like, I don't have anyone specific but I want to try it out. :D Gosh, I love this, I want to write so much now.

Haha, yes I know! I sort of just like let my stories rot here, I would only update like every four months, not good. But yeah, once new mibba came, I'm like so excited and your story was the only story that I had left on my sub list since the others hadn't updated in like years.

I started joining like a bunch of contests to pick up writing again. So far, it's going good, sorta. I really want to sit down and edit my stories. Because my writing has changed a bit.

But yeah, I don't look up "Prince" type stories anymore. Since yours is the best. ;D

Oh. Your comment has made me smile so widely. Like, I'm sitting at my computer with this huge dorky smile on my face. :) I'm so glad that you've noticed and appreciated my little sidenotes. I work really hard on realism and whatnot. It's nice for it to be acknowledged. :)
