    Thats all your opinion.
I dont give food to all of the homeless. Just the ones i know that live by the skating rink or several blicks from my house at the park.
Those are the ones who aren't drunks and lost their jobs.
You can say something like they're fooling me and that they are drunks, but i've known them since i was 5. they wern't always homeless.

at least i can wake up in the morning and be thankful i am awake andm live another day of life. atleast i can go to bed at night knowing that i helped someone, made someone smile and made a small difference in my community.

You can woship the devil if you wish. thats your choice not mine. im not goign to say that it's wrong because everyone believes in what they want even if they person they belive in isn't the best person in the world.

you do know that satan was an angel of God though right? now a fallen angel and ruler of the wrongly deceased

    haha.
well the one that got the rain was the one who prepared his fields for it.
you can't just expect for your prayers to be anwsered within a day. it could take a few monthes. patience.
i hate to be patient but in time you'll get what you asked for.

it's like if you want money, you get a job, but you don't get paid right away. you need to work to get it right?
if you need help or need strength to get through the hard times. Praying is the same as working.
your work is rewarded with cash. your pray is rewarded in time with what you asked.

    here's a story.

There are two farmers and it hasn't rained in monthes. They need rain to grow their crops and they pray and pray to god asking for rain.
One farmer stayed home and the other one prepared his field for rain.

which do you think, got the rain?

You sound like my boyfriend. He thinks religon is silly, a waste of time. He doesnt consider himself in any religous catagorey because even being atheist is a religon.
But how long did you pray. Does satan anwser your prayers? does he forgive you for all the wrongs you have commited? does he make you feel accepted?
For me my life was in the shit hole to. I was the gothic girl in my school. i was raped and i got into all sorts of drugs. and thats how my first visit to the camp came to be. because someone snitched on me to my parents and that's where i found God.
I never gave a fuck about praying, i figured, why pray, not like he can help. But i tried it. i had someone pray for me, with me. I told them my story and they didnt judge me. I thought who the fuck are these stupid people, and why aren't they telling me how bad i fucked up?
i tried prayeing every other night, i asked for forgivness, i asked for hope and strength to get through this. I almost ran away several times but i stuck it through, stayed strong and now i can tell the world i went to hell and back.
Every now and then i think he doesnt hear me, but sometimes, he can't anwser your prayers in time. you have to meet him half way.

and i have a question or two about the comment you left, in no way am i judging you or trying to sound the leats bit rude, but i'm sorry if you take it that way:

"doesn't that just prove that your "prayers" go unheard."
In what way does my poem mean prayers go unheard?

"im so sorry to hear that you have faith in self-deceit =["
How does my poem make a point about faith in self -deciet.
In what way do you take such pessimistic points out of a poem about praying?

I actually wrote my poem 'Pray' a year ago.I attended a stay away church camp for a week because my life went down hill and at the end of the week, all the adults let the teens come up to them to pray and tell them what is wrong and was able to pray with somebody.

'Tears leak from their eyes' meaning everyone is crying.
'Down comes crashing a wall of lies, Out leaks the truth' meaning you tell them what is bothering you instead of building it up inside.
'Their mouthes keep moving, Wispering words that are soothing' meaning they are being prayed for and prayed with. That someone is there to help them.
'Prayers are said, Closing the wounds that have bled' this was written in my perspective of the service. Once it was over and i was done prayering, i felt a hell lot better.
