I officially have a new identity and it's weird feeling but I like it.
Oh man. I have a common app account from when I applied to schools the first time around, but I don't even remember my high school email address. Is it acceptable to even make a new one? Do I need my high school transcripts or anything? All I want to do is write a dumb *special snowflake* paper about how enlightened I am, but I have to freak out first. Dx

Spending a hundred dollars at a dollar store is so ironic. My library life is kind of crazy. The job is great because I shelve things and do fun barcoding/weeding stuff, but the patrons can be... ~~~ I get a lot of old men who follow me around and say weird things. One time, a woman yelled at me for sneezing. She was like "I heard what you did. Don't deny it. You better not do it again." And another time, a man came in and SHAT on the floor and ran out of the building leaving a trail of FECES. Holy Hell.
Do you want to do nursing for a living? (I googled STNA, hopefully I know what I'm talking about.) I'm in a psych program now, and I think I'd like to be a counselling therapist, though not a physician I don't think. I will therapy you and you can treat me.

Hey, are you transferring colleges too? "transfer" might be referring to something else, but if you are, or whatever you're doing, please moan with me about how stressful life is and stuff. I'm spending my next semester in Iceland with the disabled! It's volunteer work, so it isn't academic, but I hope it will help elevate me into some schools that might be better suited for me. (God my school is so dumb.)
Awwh. Skype is going to have to be my modem of communication too. I have a pretty rad boyfriend. He reads me m-preg stories that I wrote four years ago. But omg do you make Sims scenarios about your life too? That's adorable. I used to be like "okay what would life be like if I were a fortune teller married to a pirate in a Victorian castle," and the Sims would show me all about it.
Have you read any Thor comics? If you have, or even have heard good things about them, do you know any series that would be worth reading. Marvel organizes their series so complicatedly. I wish there was a chronological list of series and titles within the series somewhere. There might be actually. But it would be so helpful, I always get so confused when I try to figure out what comes next.
Dollar Store. Those things are awesome. But sometimes really misleading. In England, they had Pound Land. I bought so much food for so little money. Do you do cash register work or do you do office stuff?

Oh my god. Your bf's dad sounds awesome. Thor 2 was done SOWELL. I hadn't seen the first movie when I went to see it, but it was made so amazingly I didn't currr. When their mother dies and at the end of the funeral scene, it silently shows Loki hearing the news, hitting the air, and all the stuff falling over- holy fuck that was so beautiful.

I really want to get into the Sims. I have the Sims3 but I can never get committed to making a family. It's so weird but it's like I start making these scenarios and families and I get so into it, but I don't have enough options so I start to feel creatively oppressed. Play it for me, I love watching other people play games that have a lot of customization options. c: I think that's super fun. the library I work at just started to get video games & I had to make them a list of good games because the ones they bought were so bad. They were all really awful Disney wii games and it made me so sad.

Zelda was the first thing that I really loved with my whole life. I remember when I was little, I played Ocarina of Time and it was so violent that my mom threw it away. But I got a new copy for Christmas when I was 12, and it just took me to a new place. I'd go out in the snow with a fake sword and pretend I was on a huge adventure, alone but inspired. Then KH came because my best friend told me to play it. I did so many chores and sold so many games at gamestop in order to get the PS2. It connected me and her a lot, and then the game itself is just so sad and beautiful, it's a combination I can't ever top. Animal Crossing tho. I have so much fun with that game.
dude you're making me want to read the Thor comics so badly now. I read a lot of Johnen Vasquez comics- he did the Invader Zim series, so you know his adult work has to be perfect.
gutter = good. Believe me when I say I'm PRETTY sure writing Yugioh 5D's fanfiction taught me about sexuality. But in the show, there's two characters, crow and kiryuu, (who are obviously madly in lub ) and kiryuu kind of goes to the dark siddee and abandons his heart, and it's so beautiful to me because crow has to cope with the idea of somebody he loves just vanishing from the world. Not dying or moving away, but his entire being is just destroyed in that one moment. Later, Kiryuu comes back renewed but he's really broken and lives in isolation. But they taught me to take care of the ones you love, no matter how radically they deviate from the person you wish they could be.

Ah man. c: I agree so muchhh; I'm pretty sure that the Lion King taught me all/most of my values in life. The next thing that did it was Zelda, and I kind of churned through all those games for years until I got to KH. Oh man, those two games broke my heart. I never played beyond the first two, but they make my heart do weird stuff. I don't know if you've ever played it, but Crisis Core had a similar impact. I love Loki. He's my favorite sort of character- vulnerable but clever & manipulative. I think Tony is going to always be my favorite. ( I really loved the comics more than the movies though, because it went so in depth. But rdj makes up for it, I think.) In literature, Vonnegut is my favorite ever. But Inkheart by Cornelia Funke has been a m a z i n g since I read it as a 10 year old. In it, a man called Dustfinger is one of those very Loki-esque characters.

What is your favorite fictional experience you've had with a character? As in, being taught something by them or really connecting with them?
