I don't think the band has changed completely. Like someone has already said, the lyrics are still very "MCR," just more upbeat, I guess.
I'll admit, I was a tad disappointed. The album is amazing, but just doesn't compare to the previous three. There was something missing in it, it lacked that special quality MCR always have in their albums. Well, I think so, anyway. However, I think they've done a great job with it.
And honestly, they're in their 30's now, I don't think they'll ever create something like Bullets again. They've changed in that way, they've grown up.
I see your point, and I like the older stuff so much more. But I think Danger Days is an amazing album too.

The review is a bit short in itself, though well-written.
Personally I disagree with you; though the sound is new the songs are not altogether different from what the band has previously made - the lyrics still stay very true to MCR's unique style.
I like this album a lot, as I have the previous ones, and I don't think it is a disappointment at all.

I disagree. The album is brilliant! Yes, their sound is much different, but it isn't a bad change, it's good. They've recognised that they are growing up and maybe feel as if their old music just wouldn't suit them as they are now.
I do agree, though, that some songs sound more mainstream, but again, this isn't a bad thing. It doesn't make their songs bad. I don't think they intended to be mainstream and that's where they were going with this album, it just kind of happened.
I have friends who are big fans of MCR, and they all love the album, too. So, saying that thousands of fans are disappointed is a bit of an exaggeration (agreeing with cannibal heart)
Overall, I think the album was great, and will continue to support MCR in their music.

Thousands disappointed? There are certainly people who don't like it, but that seems like a bit of an exaggeration to me.

The old stuff was so much better.. you'd think in four years they could come up with something better.

A bit short, I thought.
