Hey Monday

Hey Monday This American pop punk band is composed of Casadee Pope (lead vocals, guitar), Mike Gentile (lead guitar, backing vocals), Alex Lipshaw (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Michael "Jersey" Moriarty (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Elliot James (drums, percussion). They came from West Palm Beach, Florida in U.S.A.

The band had been touring with fellow bands, to support the release of their debut album. Hey Monday is signed to Pete Wentz's label: Decaydance and another label which is Columbia.

Hold On Tight, their debut album is produced y S*A*M* and Sluggo. And the album has 11 tracks, written and composed by Hey Monday, Sam Hollander and Dave Katz, except for "How You Love Me Now", which is collaborated with Butch Walker and "Homecoming" which is collaborated with William Beckett. Even in their very first album, the songs are purely rock and nothing else. Though their songs are somehow related to other songs, they managed to proudly call it their own. Homecoming and How You Love Me Now are the recently released singles of the band.

Even as a newbie band, Hey Monday is heavily criticized by people. They are often easily compared to bands, especially Paramore. Casadee said that they were one of their inspiration for their music, and that puts the rumor to rest.

Presently, they are sharing stages with other bands, like Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship and the like. As a new band, they are going to face a whole lot of challenges just like our favorite bands passed through well, like rumors and gossips that would break their reputation, the media and much much more. And if they pass, truly, they are the new generation of rock.
